I own a 2009 1100S and in the year I've owned it I've put 20K miles on it. It's one of the 9 bikes I own and its my favorite. The suspension is amazing....great handling for up in the mountains and plenty of room to lay it over. Fun Fun bike!

I also own an 09 1100s and agree, it is hard to find fault with it. I did have the front forks resprung and revalved which made a huge difference in the handling. Too bad it looks ugly.

I have had 2 of these ...an 07 and an 08 in different countries I've lived. You pretty much nailed it with this video and your comments. Ultra reliable. Highly useable power and torque and great suspension. The chassis, riding position, road feel and level of connection through these bikes is incredible. They are easy to work on and there is nothing to fear about belt changes, valve adjustments or otherwise. A brilliant and in my opinion timeless motorcycle.

Fanstastic bikes ...under most people's radar which makes them great value , handle like a dream too.

I had a Multi 620 that I wrecked in my 20's. Fifteen years later and wiser, I want an 1100S. The old 2-valve Multi is a wonderful bike, MUCH simpler than the '10+ Multis. All I want are heated grips, fuel injection, and a slipper clutch. These bikes are perfection.

yep, I love my 2 valve Ducatis. I don't need the 150 hp in any bike I might take off-road.

Love my strada! and I made living out of riding bikes as a Dispatch Rider. Countless bikes over the years, all kinds. Then I bought 1100s-comfy,power and a little bit quirky,,,,which is always nice .

Just found a cherry ‘04 1000DS with 5,800 miles. Minor scuffing on left side. Otherwise, what a fun machine on the NC twisties!!!

I had a 2003 1000DS for about 15,000 miles - great bike, and had lots of fun on it. The best tight mountain road bike I ever rode, let alone owned. I did take it down Baja in 2006, got lots of interest from the locals. I sold it to a friend in 2010, and it's still nosing around the neighborhood. Many bikes since then, including one especially beastly S4R, and I'm thinking about maybe a 2V Hypermotard (either one) or the Multi 1100S

Couldn't agree more! It's hard to go wrong with a 2v Ducati.

Great video and great bike. I've owned a 2008 1100S since new as a leftover in 2009 (with side panniers and top case) and I've added a bunch of goodies...$2900 Termignoni full racing exhaust (with a chip and performance air filter), Ducati Performance seats and a few pieces of carbon fiber. I laughed when you commented on the look of the front because I'm still not a fan of the design, but I think the rest of the bike looks great and it handles and sounds great. Unfortunately, it's been sitting in my garage for >4 years, initially because of a shoulder injury from a drunk driver (while in my truck) and the last couple years from my ridiculous work schedule, but I'm hoping to get it running this Spring.

I spent a long time finding my 05 1000S ds with only 2,100 miles for $5000 in San Jose. Only to get swiped at 50mph by a teenager girl jumping two left lanes to turn left down a cross street when I was next to her about to pass Thanksgiving morning. It was 7am no one on the road and she and friend were dressed like they just left a party the night before blasting music I could hear laying down on the floor waiting for the ambulance. Lucky I didn't break my right leg as was crushed between motorcycle and her car. 5 weeks later I am still in a wheelchair waiting to walk and stand straight up but man I wish I had my motorcycle back😭. Was a blast going from my first motorcycle Monster 620. Hope I find another got $7000 back from my insurance and my lawyer estimates I'll get around $80,000 - 30'/. settlement from the girls insurance since was 100 percent at fault. Maybe a blessing in disguise 😊👍🤑 haha

Amazing bike! I bought my 1000DS a year ago and it keeps amazing me all the time. Great handling bike, even though it doesn't have the Ohlins suspension. Many say that the engine is weak (around 85hp) but do you really need more power to have fun? Anyway, right now it has almost 98.000 kilometres on the clock! Pretty sure next month it will break the 100k barrier!

I've been riding a 2010 Multistrada 1200 for the past 18 months and I really, really love it. If anything it has WAY too much power.

I own a 2006 and the seat sucks. Weird angle for sure. Maintenance nightmare but otherwise a sweet ride. I can’t say goodbye to it so that tells u something in 2022.
