You’re a judge… JUDGE HIM!
I wish the judge would bear in mind that he is dealing with a spoiled, out-of-sorts toddler who's never been told "no" in his life. Like a toddler he's incapable of rational thought or self control and his awareness of consequences is nonexistent.
Why should it matter if Donald Trump is a former or potential future president?
The judge needs to ignore all of that and treat him the same way as he would everyone else if the adage we are all equal in the eyes of the law and without fear or favour is actually true.
You know that adage is as disingenuous as ever. It’s what the rich white men, our founding fathers felt they needed to say, to get compliance from the leases masses, we the “lesser citizens.” It’s as sincere as the rules in the Animal Farm. “All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.”
$10,000 in court fees, while he asks his followers to send their last $20 to him. $10,000 and he couldn’t care less. Goes to show you how much her cares about his followers.

I remember what a relief it was when Jen Psaki started doing the press briefings everyday. What a change from the lying clown show that represented Trump. Jen Psaki embodied calm, knowledge and professionalism. And I’m not American. The world is watching who American voters are going to vote in next. Final remark: From where I stand, Joe Biden is proving to be a very competent and able president in difficult times. I think history will look back on him as one of the great presidents, even if a section of his own people are too blind to see it now.
It is not so much that they are too blind to see it and more that right-wing media that spoon-feeds them their views have put them on a diet.
Joe Biden is easily the worst president we've ever had. It's not even very close. He will be remembered as weaker than Jimmy Carter.

Exactly, and that is what print news is doing as well. Like Kahn, the editor of NYT. He is leaning in to the right by attacking Biden in a false way, so as to appear as if he and NYT are impartial. This leniency is democrat problem. We democrats have lost so much ground and helped to create this evangelical republican party by trying to be to inclusive of people who are clearly corrupt and corrosive to democracy in all their actions. Democrats are enablers to the corrosion and corruption of the evangelical republican party. That is why Bush II became president in 2000 and not Al Gore. Democrats stood down and allowed the evangelical republicans to steel that election by stopping the recount of votes in Florida and denying American the rightful president in Al Gore. Democrats in their belligerence to be the polite good guys, then lose endlessly to the liars and cheaters of the evangelical republican cult. Whom, has since Reagan, prove over and over again, the truth, honesty and reality do not matter to them when it comes to power.

That is up to the judge's discretion but it is a maximum of 30 days for each violation and they do not run concurrently, so can potentially after ten violations so far be 300 days and counting.

It is unconscionable that this judge refuses to apply the law equally to all by giving preferential treatment to criminal defendant Trump. Anyone else who committed criminal contempt for violating a gag order meant to protect the safety of family members of the prosecution, court staff and jurors etc., not to mention to protect the integrity of the proceeding would be in jail. We need better judges in this country who take their duty and their oaths seriously.

You might also mention that the vast majority of that 'aid' went to the big multinational 'farm' corporations, not Ma and Pa Kettle on the family farm.

The issue is not all judges. The problem is Trump and the tendencies of his followers to strike out at Trump's "enemies." That said, the charges against Trump and how the judicial system is handling them (including SCOTUS) have shown with glaring clarity the two-tier justice system in this country.
