Yeah that's just a oem aw11 4agze sc12 supercharger, they are not rebuild able. That's why I ended up going to a eaton supercharger on my twincharge setup. Get that head off! haha.. interested to see what pistons it has etc. Definitely completely pull apart and rebuild.
Yeah definitely thinking another AW11 chassis or AE86. Definitely want to keep it in the Toyota family. I've actually been looking at rollers right now as well
I hope this isnt' the case. But imo you must tear that engine down to inspect it. Well you can risk it and just 'send it' but at the very least the lobes on that Supercharger dont' look good. And that's the cheapest fix as you have another one or find a good used one which isn't quite as easy in the states as it used to be.
Yeah I plan to tear everything down. Just because it has been sitting for a hot minute and there's some rust on that crank and there's a lot of things that sketched me out. Haha.
It's easy to remove the supercharger. you can't rebuild them b/c the bearings are only sold to Toyota and Toyota does not sell them to the public. And they are not even used anymore by Anything Toyota. Sounds dumb but it's business. So inspect your other SC12 to see if it's a largeport USDM SC12 MR2 Supercharger or a AE92 smallport supercharger.
Thank-you for all the wonderful Aw11 content!
You're welcome! I'm excited and glad to be making it!
Been a while, still insane you got that 1 of 4 engine
Yeah been a little bit. But I still have to tear it down since a lot of it is rusty.

Interesting. Didn't know they weren't rebuildable. Good way around it though! Haha.
Very soon I will have it all apart! In excited as well!
What rolling shell you going for?
Maybe AE86 if you can get one ..keep it in the Toyota family?
Rear as hens teeth now..
Keep up the good work mate 👌👌

I have a 1987 AW11 would you recommend rebuilding the 4AGE so It can handle boost or should I swap something in it?
I would definitely recommend building git for boost, it would definitely handle it. Even stock it'll hold 7+psi reliably as long as it's tuned right.
@@ivgarage awesome thank you!!! Keep the videos coming!
hey what transmission are you going to put in? the same one from the 4age?
Yeah for right now I'm going to use the c52 transmission. I'm trying to get the c53 from the supercharged one soon
Pst. Bro, sell me that 4age. I'll give you my running 4age.
I would if I could. Haha

How can you tell the difference between the large port and small port SC12?
