Hey Chimmza...you have so much passion for the rural areas, i like that. I always say that the future of life is in the villages. Just as an idea, since you love it so much, you must get a piece of land or a farm and grow the specific Nigerian herbs/food/plants that are not available in SA. Then you can supply both SA and Nigerian communities not just here but in the SADC region as well. Just an idea. keep up the good work.

@@ChimmaFrancherry Its a pleasure thanks, u re so kind. Just partner with one of your SA lady ( to make it a 100% black female owned) friends to do the project. Then through her you guys can get access to land and also the government will fund the project. Then many Western African communities would no longer import all that stuff but buy from you guys. All the best Chimza. God bless.

Rural areas throughout South Africa differ, this includes the life in it. I am from a village which is more like a township in some parts. Almost everyone has flushing toilets and the housing is just amazing. On the other hand, I have seen rural areas which are very very rural(if you get what I mean). Where I am from there's a mall which is like 10 minutes away, almost all roads are paved and there are street lights alongside the pavement. On top of all this, there is what is called the 'apollo light'. Proper schools, clinic and a recreational centre. It is still classified as a village.

The other thing is that in rural areas, there are no much restrictions when coming to cultural activities. 1. People slaughter animals as they wish in rural areas for rituals or ceremonies, but in urban areas you will can be charged for animal cruelty. 2. Most rural areas have dual system of government. The traditional authority and the local government political system. 3. Land is expensive in urban areas but it is free in rural areas (you only pay admin fee at the tribal office). 4. People in rural areas know each other, but in the suburbs, neighbors hardly know or speak to each other, even if they stay in the same street or same block. 5. It is common that people in rural areas greet you on the street even if you don't look familiar. The only problem is that they will greet in their native language as long as you are black. They can speak English but it is very rare to hear black people speak English even if they come from different provinces. This is because South Africans are generally multi- lingual, if they don't peak your native language, they can at least understand it. 6.The level of respect in rural areas is much higher that in urban areas. respect is thought at home but people loose it when they move to urban areas. It seems like I am now taking over you job Chimma. Thanks for the video.🙏

In the rural areas, there are always cultural activities over the weekend and you don't need to be invite to attend, it's come one come all. You will be treated as if they invited you. But I think there are more opportunities in the rural areas because, more development is now in the rural areas, roads construction, water infrastructure, etc.

There are flushing toilets in the villages too. Just that the septic tank is burried in the yard. They connect water pumps to Jojo tanks.
Also they have car washes, lodges and game reserves in abundance. They also have DSTV here in the rurals. They only miss movie theatres and shops unique to big malls like Stuttafords, Game and boutiques.

CHIMMA you are so cool!! Im a South African travel nomad born and raised in JHB (third generation jhb, we dont have family in the rural areas in my family because we are all in jhb) so my passion for exploring came when i first experienced and saw the rural areas of South Africa, the food, the poeple, the way of life! its mystical to say the least! I now travel the world visiting villages and meeting the locals there. your absolutely correct, rural areas are far nicer than overly dense areas in terms of food, people, richness in cultural experiences
