Love this dad and the relationship he has with his son. The dad is speaking because he has more experience and this court case is a learning experience for the son. Dad is showing his son how to proceed in court (good dad) and if or when the son has to go back to court, he will then be able to represent himself with confidence.
This is the best comment personally, a lot of people are upset bout it but like you only become a real adult at 21… 18 is still so weird of a time. I’ve never been to court but I like to watch these to see how or how not to act

He means if he was new to riding , he could be grinding gears or riding at high speeds in low gears. You can beat up on a bike and cause damage over time. I worked in motorcycle dealerships and rode bikes for over 10 years. I’ve seen a lot over the years. I would never buy a bike over 10 years old or buy if I couldn’t test drive either.
For those not familiar with buying a motorcycle, often times unlike a car, you can not always test ride them. This is often because they can be easily damaged and their insurance doesn't cover it. Also if they DO let you test ride, you need to have your motorcycle license
The 21yr old was smart in asking for a warranty, how many times on PC have we heard Harvey say, there’s nothing wrong for the buyer to ask for a warranty in an as is sale, the defendant acted like he was bullied into giving him a guarantee/warranty.
For the curious, I googled the difference between guanantee and warranty. There pretty much is none. Originally they were exactly the same and evolved from the same german word but in 2 different countries, one dropping the g at the beginning of the word, and the other dropping the w as the second letter. But warranty has evolved to mean specifics such as warranteeing specific parts, but guarantee is more general.
I love this judge sometimes. She handled these guys really well. And I loved how she expressed the blond not belonging in this group with just a chuckle 🤭
21--why is Daddy doing all the talking? I'm absolutely serious. The son doesn't seem as if he needs assistance mentally or socially. And if he did, wouldn't the judge need to ask if the father has permission to "speak for him"? The father's testimony was full of hearsay. "He called, he was told, he did", "the Defendant said to him"... I saw an episode where the Plaintiff was slightly autistic and had her mother speaking(mostly), on her behalf. The Judge quickly asked if she had her permission to speak on her behalf. Wait, WAIT, WAIT... MOLEST the bike😂?!? Whaaaat is going on with these litigants?
Motorcycles are quite different from cars. When purchasing a used motorcycle, it’s common for the seller to be reluctant to let anyone test ride it. This is because if the bike gets dropped or damaged, the owner bears the cost. Additionally, the owner can’t be sure of the potential buyer’s riding skill level. Personally, if I were selling a motorcycle and a buyer wanted to test ride it (btw you ride a motorcycle, not drive it), I’d ask for the full payment upfront. If they return the motorcycle without any issues, I’d refund the amount. I am surprised how people that have no idea about motorcycles are swearing they wouldn’t buy one without test riding lol.
The stupid defendant could have taken the bike (no $300 charge), inspected it and said the issue was normal wear and tear. He could have then charged for the repair cost.
