Here is a question you may not have heard. Will the shape of a box affect sound? Say for instance you build a sealed box in the shape of an "L". The woofer is partly where the box turns meaning part of the woofer has a longer area behind it on one side.
I’ve got a “ground shaker” box that fits 2 12” subs on my 2014 ram single cab. It’s a good box but I want the same box that will house 2 10’s and 2 12’s and have it ported in a different way. Can you help me with this? Tried reaching out to ground shaker to no avail.
Point woofers rearward, screw and don't use wood glue heat destroys it in auto. Gorilla glue is best, stuff it poly fil , coat trunk metal with lexel then brake disc grinding waste,then aluminum foil, then glue carpet ,better than the 24 dollar a foot stuff they sell. Retired, tech , age 68..first box, 1971..doing only a few home speakers now, sorta terminal but love audio

Check out a cnc router table. I don’t think your work can get any better, but the cnc might save you some time.
Shouldn't one add a hole to the enclosure to let the air move in and out? And, what wood would you use to give the best resonance?
It's called a port hole. And mdf or medium density fiber works best

Im new to this. The painted mdf board looks like polyethylene or poly butyl when painted. I always assumed that theses boxes we're made of plastic.

The manufacturer’s website for the sub you have. It’s usually on the spec sheet, unless you have a low end sub.

Disagree with spreading the glue. I would rather run a bead. Squeeze out is a sure sign of a perfect seal. Wood is very imperfect.
