Kind of funny how you excluded Somalia which will eclipse all of them with the projects on its pipeline and the oil 🛢️ it will drill giving it Africa largest oil reserves.

@@theancientsancients1769 , Unfortunately, Somalia is bankrupt country. Actually, there two countries there. Somaliland (no recognized) lives and works completely independent of Somalia government.
We are watching this very keenly, mainly because our essential neighbors KENYA AND TANZANIA have already made great strides to build modern, up to date railway transport in their countries, with respect to the East African Standard Gauge Railway!!
Facts their needs to be more emphasis on skill transfer. This constant outsourcing of construction projects is taking away jobs and economic benefits that could stay in our borders.
Exactly. We must acquire the skills to construct our own railways and bridges in Africa. We can't allow our hard currency to go out of Africa for ever 😢
Great news ❤ for Uganda. It's whatever will work. Turkey and Uganda must foster good foreign business... If this could only work for Ethiopia who's been fighting for a way to deal with their landlock problem.
How is UGanda going to Connect the SGR through Kenya while the Kenya SGR is No where to Reach Uganda Border? You should have said Connecting it’s SHR with Tanzania 🇹🇿 SGR which is almost to complete from lake Victoria to Indian Ocean
You are either ignorant or clueless, neither Tanzania or Kenya got their SGR line to the Ugandan border, but Kenya is on its way to secure capitation for the Naivasha-Kisumu- Malaba construction
They have missed good artectual looking buildings from china on world record.china beats turkey 100000000times in train tech and infrastructure.my fellow ugandans expect this project to move slowly as slow as hell.taxi holidays etc.the Chinese are faster on projects and food designs.expect something of 1980 designs from new ....investor
You need an education on how projects of this size work. Also, a quick glance at the generic things Chinese have built in Uganda with zero regard to aesthetics, I'll take my chances with the Turks seeing what they've done with Tanzania's train stations.
These projects would be great if arrangements between learning institutions could be made to allow students access with their tutors. This would enable them to observe and have hands-on experience during training. Apprentice working in partnership with training bodies should also be a part of the agreement. Of course sharing is good but we must try to reduce this dependency on outsiders for everything. Our youth need to be trained to maintain and do more of those jobs. We are always calling others, who call us. They invest and train their own to provide jobs and reduce travelling and crime. Let's wake up and live. It's vital to instil the importance of honesty and discipline in these trainees too because no matter how good his/her job may no one is going to want a crook, slave master or failure to complete the job.
Good news for Ugandans finally. But why are Uganda's development projects always late by 10 to 15 years? Compared to Kenya or Tanzania, these countries have been enjoying this railway system for years!!!
Not in everything. Maybe for similar projects but otherwise we have some projects that the other countries don’t have. We make electric cars as well ( since 2014) , we have beautiful stadiums as well, our expressway was the first in the region as well. However other stuff we may be a little behind, but we’re are surely coming
@@aboutanything551 thanks for your spirited defense of your country 😀 I'm also Ugandan 🇺🇬 by the way. Having traveled extensively in Africa and other parts of the world, I'm a little impatient with our slow progress sometimes 😏😆

Great, Africa is the future, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, DRCongo and Souuth-Sudan, the future of Africa is in ours hands

Verrrrry interesting! Turkey! They have made stuff for many centuries. Fingers crossed !!!
Turkey just completed the 1700 KM electric railway project in Tanzania. I think they can handle this project as well.
GREAT NEWS ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Africans must learn how to. build rail system or at least team up with black diaspora engineering and construction companies.

The problem is the decision makers don't understand that
These projects of include a certain percentage of Ugandan subcontractors for materials and worker. So its not just the foreign company earn

Good. Competition among providers is good for Africa.

Eventually Kenya will connect it's sgr to Uganda.. Kenyan coast in nearer compared to Tanzania
Those are stories because if oil has not been exploited very well then the railway.
All Africans countries are fighting for progress except central countries Cameroon Gabon and Congo are still sleeping, especially Cameroon
This will open Kenyan economy
Kenyan SGR is Stuck in Nairobi.
