Excellent video! Finally I found somebody who can explain how to do a box whisker manually. This is important because that is why you need to do if you want to make a box whisker using class data as it is my case. Thank you!
Where have you been all my STAT200 life? Books make it so complicated and I have been crying my eyes out. Thank you... this is a huge help to help me understand how to calculate Min, Max, and interquartiles
Thank you! I could not get the built-in Box-And-Whiskers function to do what I wanted, but your video demonstrated perfectly how to create the type of graph I wanted.
One way will be to overly the median with a dashed line. However, the approach shown in the video below allows for easier manipulation. ua-cam.com/video/BRAj_kZXRjg/v-deo.html
Good video and information Mr. Joshua, one question. I saw that the numbers or data set is not in ascending order; is not a matter in obtain the quartiles results? Thank you for teaching
what if you want to have 2 boxplots? when i go to put in the error bars it puts the same error bars on both boxplots as opposed to different ones on different boxes.

Glad the old video still helps. Thanks for dropping a note.
@@joshemmanI am still referring your video ❤
@@neelsrv Thank you! 🙏
You really know what you're doing!! Thank you!!
Thanks, helped on one of my Statistics Assignments.
Hi what is the difference between inclusive and exclusive? Should I calculate percentiles using exclusive or inclusive?
How can i make dash line at the median line?

This was extremely helpful! Thank you very much ; )
Great video. Thank you

If you're doing manual calculations, the order matters. But with software, you don't have to bother. The software takes care of that.
@@joshemman Thank you so much for answer.
It is very greatful to me
Thanks, luckly excel understands our problem and they introduced the box plot feature in excel 2016
omg u saved me a bunch! thanks
Very Helpful
Thanks man, this was very helpful!
Is there anyway to duplicate this in google sheets? The part I cant figure out is the error lines
I haven't tried it in Google Sheets but this video might help: ua-cam.com/video/5QgctkvP4Gs/v-deo.html

Excel in Office 2019 now has a boxplot chart. Just highlight the two data sets, go to Insert and select the boxplot option (under histogram icon).
Cool and helpful, thanks
There is no plus option in new excel
Which Excel (year) are you referring to?
Nice! THX man :)
why calculate diff ? tell me pls
It's a workaround.
Excel now has the capability of creating a boxplot so you don't have to use this approach.
Thnx
I LITERALLY UNDERSTAND NOTHING!!!!!
Oh sorry😔. What exactly are you looking for?
