You're talking about drawing whiskers on a box plot. This is just how you find the lower and upper fence. I do not discuss outliers here nor the box plot. This is just the calculations of finding the upper and lower fence. If this video were to go further in depth and we discussed the box plot we would look at an example where there was an outlier and where there was no outlier and the whisker was drawn only to the lowest value. However none of that is discussed here. It's just showing you how to find the upper and lower fence mathematics using excel. I never said they were the whiskers of a box plot.
Thank you so much for making this!! You explained it so much easier and simpler than any of my university lectures could
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much!! My math project is a success because of you!! I'm in debt to you great sir
You sir are a genius!!!!! This helped a lot!!!
Thanks a ton for this video, highly appreciated.
Thank you so much, this really helped me :)
Thank you for the clear explanation.
Thank you so very much!!!! This was so helpful.
Thanks a lot for yours clear explanations!
I would like this TWICE if I could.
You saved my life.
wonderful and easy expaination
Thankyou, very helpful tut
Thanks for the help
Thank you!
Thank you!!!!!
Lovely video. In my question however they've only said "what is the upper outlier if q3 is 61 and q1 is -24. How do you go about that? Thanks
thanks it was great
thank you
You rock :-)
TY
Thank u sooo much
How do you get the 1.5 to multiply?
If you are analysing a set of data say salaries in a particular grade, what is the meaning of Q1, Q3 , IQR, upper and lower fences
Theanks
How did you get the 1.5?
can't see how he chose the 1st quartile i can't do it!
FYI, you are wrong in lower fence. lower fence can not be lower than the lowest number

I added a note at the end referencing what I said so that the user will understand that there is more to look at when proceeding to the box plot.
