The day started well with a gentle trail till Phungi Thanga where I had lunch and hike started to gradually become difficult after it. Reaching Tengboche was quite within reasonable time and view of the village with monastry and cloud covered Everest was magnificent. However things got bad when i entered my stay and suddenly GoPro action camera memory card got corrupted before taking daily back up. Few footages got recovered though, but 80 percent Gopro footage is lost which messed up my mood at evening. This day video is majorly comprising of footages covered by Insta 360 ( secondary action cam ).

Sach bataya apne sir..khane ko bohot man karta tha..lekin rotten chicken kha k bimar par jau to dream itna dur aa k adhura reh jata...isliye sacrifice kar diya... Bohot taklif hua ek hi khana khate nhi to sochiye sirf dal bhat se bhukh mit ta hai? Sirf sapna pura karna tha us k liye sab sacrifice k liye ready tha main .. aur gopro ka sirf 10 percent recover hua baki baria aur footage sab gaya..insta ne bacha diya..sochta hu agar ye ebc base camp k din aisa incident hota to kya hota..but aage aur nhi hua..

I can only imagine your frustration when after diligently working on your video over the entire day on top of the tremendous physical exertion, at the end of the day your gadget basically gives up and says, "ok bye, take care". It's hard not to lose your cool. Thankfully you took it in your stride and kept going, eventually achieving your goal. A big adventure like this is not possible without a certain amount of stoic reserve which I believe have you have in plenty. You are going to make a great adventurer I am sure.
What a compliment sir...!! This is all i will preserve for this journey and i am so lucky that someone analysed so well what it took for me to control myself after my gopro card got corrupted.. Thanks a lot to u sir that u can see that thirst of adventure in me keeping a balance with safety as far as practical..

@@Tr-bf2pq no this is not end.. i hv carried 6 extra micro sd card.. in this episode at last i said that i hv inserted new sd card.. journey will continue as usual..almost 15 more episodes yet to come.. solo to ebc then cho la and gokyo.. all will come back to back every sunday.. yes i walked back from gokyo till lukla..

Doing solo trek with filming yourself really is not so easy. kudos to your great endeavours. Being a bangali we can't stop taking non veg😁 but it is advisable to take veg food during the whole trek to stay fit and proper digestion. Not skipping a single moment. 💕
Finally i m so pleased to see that u took note of what it took me to shoot solo that too in that terrain.. and infact i m so fussy with my food habbit.. and it's really recommended to avoid non veg at high altitude up there as raw food quality degrades as it takes days to reach in remote places.. thank u for loving the moments..keep watching 🙂🙂
@Final Destination bro during my Goecha La trek Apr'22 also made self filming but I'm not so professional like you. My primary focus was to enjoy the whole trek first then making videos. 😊

Hi Great Vlog, here is a question regarding the solar panel. I have read in multiple places that they don't really work. The full day that you carry it around how much charging does it provide. I understand that charging at tea houses is expensive.
But could you please throw some light on the "effectiveness" of its charging power...thanx
Hi .. first of all thanks..nice to see you.. let me straightaway inform you the pros and cons of solar panel.. see you know solar panel uses natural resource of sunlight to convert energy to power our device..
1)so the charging speed is one third that of power bank or ac current..
2) it charged my 2 cell phones of each having battery 5000 mah and 2 action cams each having 1100 mah battery every single day in my ebc trek to 100 % .. so to sum up daily it charged around 12000 mah battery of 4 devices
3) charging speed is slow but stable
4) use of branded solar panel like Anker 21 W is costly around 14000 inr but worth ur investment for long if u know its uses properly
5) Solar panels are meant for charging ur phone and action cam batteries only or dslr batteries if it has USB charging arrangement
6) under no circumstances it is advised to charge ur power bank.. power bank batteries are itself 20000 mah and above .. solar panel cannot charge it for 5 % even if u keep it plugged for entire day..
7 ) Use of solar panel is must for day time during ebc trek to reduce ur charging cost and use of power bank is recommended after sunset.. i carried 1 lakh mah power bank for night..
8) in ebc trek hardly u will find sunrays falling straight at u before 9 am.. so after that u can use solar panel
9) solar panel will not work in cloudy days, shadow areas or daylight without any sunrays falling at you..
10) 9 am - 3pm is the best time when u get maximum utility from solar panel
11) hanging solar panel in right area will also affect charging speed.. if sunrays is at u.. hang it at ur chest.. if rays are at ur back..hang it at ur rucksack
12) sometimes solar panel will give u beep sound in fluctuations indicating u that charging is turning on and off at intervals because of unavailability of proper sunlight.. so hang it at right place and right time as recommended above
13) i suggest u to definitely carry solar panel because mine performed like a gem charging all 4 device to cent percent everyday except power bank
14) it will reduce ur charge cost and will definitely be an asset while trekking for longer term
15) if u r trekking in summer or winter definitely take solar panel.. it's of no use if u r trekking in monsoon or pre/post monsoon as weather will be cloudy always
16) i hv talked about my solar panel performance in the episodes at different places ..u will get to know if u don't skip
17) to sum up i will suggest u definitely take a branded solar panel like mine as it is very effective in my entire 15 days of trek

Best option is to always format the card after inserting card into gopro to make it compatible as i read it afterwards..
if you have laptop you can recovry it...
Tried a lot..few files got recovered... but maximum is corrupted/ not recoverable..

Maine 4k me shoot Kiya tha... 2 action camera tha.. to ek ek din me karib 80 gb raw file record hua.. 1080 p me karenge to same apko karib 25 gb me ho jayega per day..

Why did you go up via Tengboche when there is a much more impressive high trail on the opposite side of the valley? Just stop the video at 0:37 . The Mong La - Phortse - Pangpoche High Scenic Trail offers vastly more impressive views high across the valley, lots of wildlife and practically no other trekkers. Tengboche can be visited on the way down. Why walk the same trail twice?
Good question... 2 main reason :
1- I wanted to visit Tengboche monastry
2- Main reason ..after ebc i crossed Cho la and went for gokyo and returned via only other route machherma- dole- phortse tenga- sanasa- namche- lukla.. in this case if i had to visit tenboche i hv to again back track from sanasa towards tengboche as no direct trail from phortse tenga to tengboche is available..
@@FINALDESTINATION1 OK, continuing from EBC to Gokyo via Cho La is a legitimate reason to go via Tengpoche on the way up. But: Machermo - Dole etc is certainly not the only other route to/from Gokyo. Gokyo - Renjo La - Thame - Namche has been gaining a lot of popularity as a return route during the last decade or so. It is also possible to return via Gokyo - Nha - Thare - Thore - Phortse along the east side of the same valley (marked on the map at 0:37 ), there are lodges in each of those places, then use the straight connecting trail from Phortse to Tengboche using the recently (5 years or so) constructed bridge between them (this is not on all maps). Absolutely no need to make a detour to Sanasa.
@@karipintakivi9153 perfectly said sir..as it was my 1st trek and i did research from India for 7 month i missed some perfections.. although renjola was out of my plan due to short time but i had no clue about ur 2nd option... You are right.. i did not knew abt that route... Hope you are liking the same trail through my lens..

I have walked most trails several times in the area since 1985 and try to educate people about interesting and some times better route variations. Nepalese agencies and guides tend to stick to standard routes without any innovation -> blogs and videos here describe the standard routes -> next trekkers are not aware of alternative trails. I hope things change in the future, already now several big name western agencies use the Phortse route on the way up when going to EBC only.
