This dude is an inspiration. He made me want to skate so bad when I was a kid, he makes me want to get serious again after I had my own surgery. I wonder how well i can do over the summer
+LesterAcdag I agree this doc was really short, maybe 21 minutes to show some of his other friends, sponsors, highlights of his career, but then again they made it with an iPhone.
Man when he was talking to Atiba on the phone it just reminded me of Skate and how he'd tell you where the good spots are. Good times, I miss that era of gaming, we need another skate game.
Ilove sean malto, my favorite skater the reason why i started skatebording in 2009 til now. Much love for you sean my dude and much love for skateboarding, i can say skateboarding saved my life.
Just keep going, trying, and skating. The sentiments in this short piece are what I have always loved about skateboarding. A lot of inspiration for skating and for life in general in only 11 minutes.
malto I feel great to meet you 27 2 broken arm surgery tomorrow I felt happy when it was your first time signing a car you and another favorite Mike MO and he had his injury and we just thru the football thx brother
Malto always was a role model for me when I was a younger teenager in 2010 or so because no matter how hard he failed he always smiled. I always wanted to smile as much too and so I learned to do which kind of made me become the person I now am. Although I'm not into skating anymore, I was check back in when I hear news about Malto. Hope there are even better times to come for him.
As someone who has broken their fibula skateboarding and pretty much gave the sport up (I was never really that good) there and then I have the utmost respect for Sean. Still to this day nearly fifteen years later I'd still not have the balls to skate again. I did play rugby a few years after and have been bodybuilding ever since but skating is just so damn ankle dominant that the fear of rolling it again put me right off. He's a true professional.
I'm just watching this with my twisted ankle and I almost cried, everybody says that I should leave skateboarding because it's my third injury, but I just can't live without it, I feel like it's part of myself!
loved what guy said about takings things for granted, not that malto did i have no idea what the kind of person he is tbh, but injuries def give you a better appreciation to you skills when youre not injured
I grew up idolizing the the plqn b and eventually became girl. Now @ 44 its incomprehensible what's going down these days. I know there's some sick teams but for some reason I look to these guys to see how gnarly it's become. Malto is the personification of what a pro skater should be. RESPECT.
Malto keep pushing hard! You rip, you have steez for days and you will be better than ever when fully 100% Also Ty Evan major respect for your filming, so fluid and have always been at the forefront especially when you and Holland did the Transworld vids. This was a great insight to the path to getting back to how Malto rips! Also the legend Mariano is the man!
I can relate so much to this, currently injured and it's finally sunny outside, recently got a new complete board and new shoes that i want to skate at the new local park, but I can't and that's the worst feeling ever.
+abyolicious I know how you feel, last year i had an knee injury, in an operation they found out that my cruciate ligament is tattered and that would need another operation and that at the age of 18 :(, i couldnt skate for about 3 month (Summer months), and i desided against a new operation. now i am able to skate and its fun! i heard so much bad about acl operations. now i skate like before and luckily theres just rarely a little pain.
fuck.. this makes me wanna start skating again.. I quit after I wrecked my ankle. It never got back to where it was before, and always hurt.. I miss it so much!
i dislocated both shoulders multiple times and lost my career.. so I feel his pain and the hardships that come with it.. its hard leaving a way of life you have been doing for 25+ years to nothing..... borderline torture
I could honestly watch Malto documentaries all day long! Please make more!
Same
+Hammertron not only that we want to see malto rigth, and skating a lot!
+Hector Luces Lobo True, just want to see him fully recovered and back to his best form in competitions, video parts, etc.
Nike think they slick making the physical therapist wear a nike sb shirt...
Probably a Nike employee, actually
Bad call I think.
I can't wait to see malto overcome his injury completely and bless us with a saucy new video part in the coming years
same!
JJ ThaGeneral and win batb 10!
This dude is an inspiration. He made me want to skate so bad when I was a kid, he makes me want to get serious again after I had my own surgery. I wonder how well i can do over the summer
Malto will always be my favorite skater, and he will always have the best style.

+James Jefferson how old are u bro?
+abyolicious dont matter how old u are anyone can get it at any time
+Daniel Lee yea u right bro
a true spirit of a skater
Should've been a 45 mins documentary
+LesterAcdag I agree this doc was really short, maybe 21 minutes to show some of his other friends, sponsors, highlights of his career, but then again they made it with an iPhone.
+SikNasty thats the thing haha
Man when he was talking to Atiba on the phone it just reminded me of Skate and how he'd tell you where the good spots are. Good times, I miss that era of gaming, we need another skate game.
Skate 2 and skate were the best even though some bs but still were fun to play
We are 😁😁
Ilove sean malto, my favorite skater the reason why i started skatebording in 2009 til now. Much love for you sean my dude and much love for skateboarding, i can say skateboarding saved my life.
Nice smartwatch commercial...or Apple commercial.
Daimn...and I somehow feel like buying a new pair of Nike SB´s right now! oO
Just keep going, trying, and skating. The sentiments in this short piece are what I have always loved about skateboarding. A lot of inspiration for skating and for life in general in only 11 minutes.
Broke the two bones in my shin skating 2 months ago, definitely a motivational video
ive fractured my ankle recently, and being a fairly good skater, maltos inspiration to me... i know not to give up with the thing i love
It's crazy to see a guy that was a phenom get knocked down, and then come back with so much heart and spirit.
so inspirational in a rough patch with acl injuries here in kelowna b.c. canada an this moved me.

so awesome I got to skate with him a couple times when I lived in leavenworth, Ks. dude can skate!
The most valuable part of this video is what Guy Mariano had to say about gratitude around 7:08..
Guy always has words of wisdom
I was saying that before i read your comment. Went through hell for years. Now turning it around, I'll never forget hell.
Jordan Gonzalez That's what strong recovery will do for someone.
+Paul Lukes everything Guy said was good apart from his word of 'comfortablest'.

U still skating?
Wow, just wow. Incredable video!!
Malto's been one of my influences since forever! Despite his current injuries, he still looks smooth on a board!
2020 and it’s still so entertaining.
This is brilliant. The story is inspiring, the shots and editing are beautiful (Ty Evans), and it is so great to see Sean getting back to his best.

Very inspiring... If you can come back from an injury and skate then I can come back from my 15-year break and get back into skating.
Pretty insane! I guess you guys shot in 4k and then exported in 1080 because you cropped to avoid vignettes? Looks fantastic! Good job!
fuck.. this makes me wanna start skating again.. I quit after I wrecked my ankle. It never got back to where it was before, and always hurt.. I miss it so much!
