I loved this guy. It is so great to see a person who has such talent to be rewarded for this talent. To me it kind of reminds me of Susan Boyle who was judged by her looks before she opened her mouth a beautiful voice came out as was Richard judged by his looks. I loved his voice...he could loose the hat because he has beautiful hair which frames his face very well. Way to go Richard.

Years ago I had a voice like Louis Armstrong.... But no one ever heard it!!! So I can appreciate Richard even more than most... I don't watch TV but on voice alone he should be #1... The best way to judge singers is to keep the curtain down, then vote! Let the voice do the "talking"....

I think what Richard did was to shatter the "old" versus "young" attitude that has been developed across the U.S. Young people can see the example of Richard and realize "age has almost nothing to do with it." Absolutely great!

I watched the whole story about Richard..God bless him.His is a true story about not giving up.I have a friend, actually ran across him on Facebook..I didn't really know him but knew of him in high school,,this was back in the 70's.He had a passion for playing guitar,,his favorite was and still is Hotel California..I have been trying for 4 years, telling him not to give up...Richard,,you have done amazing..your songs are messages about not giving up..Thank You.

I'm 66 yrs old A woman from Salem Massachusetts, Back in the day I remember seeing journey in concert at Boston garden. Richard brings back all the old memories of the seventies. 1981 was one of my best and happiest year. I was a junior in high school and had an AWESOME Girlfriend! I will never, ever forget her. She was so much fun, and she introduced me to Journey, AC/DC, and other groups. I will always appreciate her for doing that. I can only hope she is doing Well in life. I miss her and how fun she was!! My parents didn't believe I was capable of loving others until she came along. Thanks to her! ❤
