For anyone experiencing the same issue - if you click/enable an output pair in Ableton's Output Config. settings (eg. 21/22), you then route it to Console's Virtual 3/4 for example, but you cannot hear anything, RESTART Ableton and it will work. It was really doing my head in!
They are telling me to not use "Monitor IN" in Ableton, and instead use the monitoring in the UAD Console - but if I add effects in the Ableton tracks, I won't hear these. What should I do?
For me: Settings > Privacy n Security > Microphone > Toggle on for Ableton. This kicked my butt today. What a stress. It shouldn’t be so difficult. So it wasn’t the Console and routing so much. It was the Mac allowing the mic through the back door. Would assume it’s the same on windows. Hope this helps someone.
Your question is slowly making me regret getting an Arrow. I just wanted the AMS Neve RMX-16 and this was cheaper than getting the 500-series module and a lunchbox. Fuuu.. I hope it works out.
@@WhosThatItsNoOne Yep most of the time this works but sometimes this records dry for me instead of wet- even with the red light set to "REC". I sometimes restart my UAD interface and Console and then it works. I don't know why.
Hello, Why you don't test the maximum output level of headphone? I have headphone 600 ohms impidence. I want to know if the UA ARROW work well with my 600 ohms impidence headphone or not ? Please help me. Thank you.
Hi guys @ uad I’ve been struggling to get my bass to record or even hear it. I normally just plug it in and start playing but somehow that stopped. I can record vocals but just no bass😢. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I have a AD converter into Apollo via SPDIF - can see input signal in UAD Console. Have spent hours trying to get input signal in Ableton (Logic works fine) and it will not work. MASSIVELY frustrating, am I being silly or is this a known issue?
I have a Behringer Neutron, Arturia KeyStep, and UA - Apollo Twin. I have an output from Behringer Neutron to UA Apollo Twin through TRS cable going inside the Line 2 of my UA Apollo Twin. I have a Arturia Keystep connected to my computer through a USB. Now when I have connected the Neutron to my Apollo and the sound comes out directly unless I put the volume down from the Neutron. Can you share how to record the sound coming out from Neutron to Ableton.
If I understood you correctly, this sounds like the correct setup, and you are almost all the way there I think - you just need to do a couple more things: -In Ableton, create a new Audio Track. -Set the track's 'Audio-From' to "Ext. In" -Set the box below that (which should say 'all channels' or something) and set it to "2" - {because that is the 'Line In' jack on the Apollo where you said you connected the Neutron, right?} -Now, arm this new audio track for recording (the button will turn red, showing it is now armed and ready). -You should be good to go ahead and play the synth, and then simply record it as you would anything else in Live. *NOTE: you may need to mess with the tracks' 'Monitor' section settings, i.e. the 3 yellow boxes there - and experiment with turning it "OFF" (like suggested in the video) or perhaps try "Ext. In" for instance if you can't hear the synth playing whenever you use it/play it.* Hope this helps! I know it was an old comment but it sounded like I understood what you were saying pretty well so I thought I would try and help out. Like I said, I don't have your rig in front of me (or even Ableton at the moment lol) so take it for what it's worth, but hopefully this helps you or someone else with a similar issue out!!! cheers, Fred
I dont understand why my apollo 16 have a lot of delay lattency with ableton live dont know how to fix this problematic isue specially with vocals!! Help?
Hi guy I hope you guys can help me, I buy the Apollo twin mkll duo core two days ago, and also I went to the apple store to buy the thunderbolt cable and the adapter for my MacBook Pro 2017 I follow all the instructions from you guys to install the drivers etc, my mac they didn't recognize the Apollo twin mkll duo. I thought the cables have defected and I returned back and I buy other ones, but my mac they not recognize the Apollo, what can I do before a return the Apollo twin mkll duo core to the store?
Hello. Very interesting your ideas. I'm trying to connect a Rb controller in rekordbox and a launchpad in ableton. But always from conflict, or it works one or the other, and still having latency. Could you help me with something? Thank you in advance.
Hmm, all the top commenters seem to just be complaining about how much detail this guy goes into. Not sure why...This is an excellent setup overview, and miraculously it exists for Ableton Live specifically. Thanks UA!! Hang in there people, just pay attention and rewatch it as necessary lol. I will admit, some preexisting knowledge of digital audio setup is required to understand but yea this is not a product ad, it is most certainly a well-made tutorial video.
following this video step by step has not given me the same results as in this video no audio in Live when monitoring is turn off on audio channels set to master
Yep, about as simple as rocket science. Spend 3 hours trying to do something that should be self explanatory, never get it working, end up making no music and wasting your free time getting frustrated. That's what being an Apollo owner means.
Unbelievable at what point this video is bad. Tutorial starts and i dont even know how to make appears the damn "console" stuff on my screen. It's not even told ! Furthermore, i dont want to use this stuff, i want to use the plugins like any other plugin in Ableton. Because it is SIMPLER. Is that really that hard to understand ? Christ

O.O it works bro thank you! I was eating my head from Yesterday with this........
I was that close to throw everything off the desk 😂 hope no one else will experience the same!
@@holo_chin 😂 i was angry too 😡 until I found your comment with the solution jajajaja 🤣 thanks bro 😎
Lmao I really appreciate you i was ready to break everything
This is the only reason I was here. You're a hero to society.
i feel like a million cool features were listed but he didnt actually tell me how to get it working
He begins doing so at 4:36
Agreed this was pretty useless
is this a commercial or a tutorial?
If I had seen this video first, I would have swerved right past UA. Bangs head for purchasing an Apollo.
Nice video. Now on to another video which will explain in better detail how to get this all to work. :\
This is so confusing it made my head hurt. This is why I held off on buying an Apollo

Why is there exclamation marks in the configuration window even though I have the Twin selected?
I only get the dry recording in Ableton Live. How do I use UAD plugins on the track and have that be sent over to Ableton?

Turn off input monitoring.
my " UA meter and control panel " has been uploading for days stuck at 10% please advise? thank you best tutorial
yeah, but what about a better support for apollo 16 without heaphones in it?
So for monitoring ableton is it better to set your master in ableton to 3/4 or leave it be but keep all the audio monitoring set to off in ableton?

These are really poor instructions
How many channels can you record at same time?
You gotta use a DeEsser when you mix the audio for your videos, this sh*t hurt my ears to listen to.

Very bad video. Very unclear.
100% knew I should have purchased the RME Fireface, sunk almost 3k on the x16 the console is nasty and this video is utter pony.
completely bloated, let me use the apollo twin without that software plese. so bloated. and now it is 7GB to download. such a waste
seriously unhelpful video wow
Thanks for wasting my time.
That's the Universal Audio experience! You never actually get to use the garbage you bought.
A truly pointless video that has nothing to do with its title.
terrible video. i don't need you to sell me on the product...i already bought it....
