It's good to see other manufacturers bringing options to the NAS market aside from just the traditional de facto NAS manufacturers. Ciriously, was there no presence of Synology, QNAP at CES? I am curious to know if U-green will be offering an all-flash NAS like ASUS Flashstor or hybrid solution as with Minissforme upcoming N5 NAS?
So when will UGreen NAS be freely available for sale in UK? Don’t want to have to rely on import from US or Germany…….. Will steal sales from Synology (& their complacency around hardware) for sure!
Perhaps they might want to make a normal NAS with a bulletproof basic software (backup, syncing, stuff like that) first, and only then peddle the AI BS
@@VictorContesBlackSon I can but the shipping cost is about $100 to $150. I would rather order it from Amazon or local store within Canada. Plus, not sure UGreen has a warranty in Canada for their NAS
No one wants AI in their NAS. You should of asked him if local apps like plex with be avail. That was one of the main reasons I installed unraid on my uGreen. Their hardware is great but their OS is garbage.
I'm a bit skeptical about what they'll be able to do with a local only AI. Training an AI is apparently still very compute heavy, and if we don't expect a user to have a side gig as a prompt engineer, I wonder how flexible it will really be.
Guessing synology has no new Nas for 2025
I dont get what they are actually doing. Trying to degrowth ?
I'm sure they will.
I would never buy anything from such a shit company anyway
@Brickingawesome2 They are focusing on the enterprise now. It's far more profitable than the consumer side.
All they're interested in is DP, apparently. Nothing to be ashamed of but not exactly something you want to be made public
I heard that Freudian slip “iX systems” soo… how will the hardware work with TrueNas/HexOs??
How about uGreen just provide a native Plex app for their Nas units.

They didn't even release last year's batch in the UK - did they ever give a reason?
Oh this is nice ! So ready to say goodbye to Synology.

All very nice if you can get them in the UK... come on sort it...
Looks nice, but also very expensive. Any indication on pricing?
Tschoo Tschoo, here comes the AI train again. :D
Here’s to hoping UGreen will bring their NAS hardware to Canada
U can't buy their stuff on Aliexpress?

Release these in Canada for crying out loud. We got money up here to spend too 😅
Could you put together cheap NAS instead of always pushing corporations stuff
