  • It's no surprise blogger, interiors-writer and stylist Cate St Hill has an envy-inspiring home. Infused with her slick, minimalist taste, her home is a grey and white sanctuary filled with Pinterest-worthy details. An artfully arranged bookshelf here; a curated picture wall there. It may be a neutral haven, but her space is anything but boring - from flower-filled corners to illustrious outdoor space, there's plenty to draw inspiration from. We took a peek inside her home - fans of pared-back Scandi style, this one's for you...

A bit too monochromatic for my taste but there are some great ideas that could be transferred for people who like more colourful interiors. I wouldn't call it minimalist though, there is a lot of clutter which would require a lot of dusting (especially that paper IKEA light....nightmare). It may not look cluttered because it's all white, black and grey but there's a lot of stuff in that house! What I like is that there are affordable pieces mixed with slightly more expensive ones which shows that you don't need to spend a fortune to decorate your home but you shouldn't fill it with junk either. It's a balance and she's done it well for her purposes if not a bit over the top, but I guess it's part of Cate's job to have a picture-ready home. That's why I also think that people should never take videos like these to be a goal for themselves. Interior designers and bloggers need to have homes like these but a person outside of this profession can have an equally beautiful space that is also functional. Thanks for sharing SheerLuxe! Next time maybe something more eclectic?

Loved the mix of expensive and afford items..West Elm/Ikea. Some great ideas, loved the tv, not sure about the books all being the same colour though ! 🤔

Nice but not my style. I prefer Sophie Paterson way of decorating which is quite the opposite. 🤭😍 Great that SL features home decor as well as fashion. Please do more of these!!

This is not a minimalist home as a designer myself, this home is far from being that, the clutter is overwhelming to say this is minimalist, monochromatic it is. I guest in the country where you live it may be considered what you stated, the good news is how you incorporated expensive items with lower priced items which is cleverly played out.💞

Exhibit A: the slave to fashion. Throw enough grey around a front room and people might believe you're a stylist

I have the same dog just a year old and I can't leave anything around. Please help, how do you manage to keep stuff in places with a dog like yours?

It’s nice but seems kind of average and safe. I would expect more from someone who does styling as a their profession. There are no out of the box thinking risks, it’s just nice bordering on dare I say it... bland.

Boring grey and white. Try a color!

Minimalist it is definitely not! An interiors consultant should be more informed that that I'm sorry.
