  • The underreported conflict in northern Mozambique has displaced hundreds of thousands of families, who continue to struggle to find food, shelter and security. While some have chosen to return home, many areas still lack basic services.
For the past seven years, residents in Mozambique’s northern Cabo Delgado province, have endured violent attacks and witnessed their loved ones killed as non-state armed groups stage attacks in the country’s oil rich region.
At least 670,000 people remain displaced since conflict started in the province in 2017. Many have been forced to move multiple times seeking safety.
