Thank you for this, I just got a Stream Deck for my birthday and I'm looking forward to playing around with it (for memes and for other non-meme stuff too)
Whoah, this is super useful. You could create epic moments on stream doing this. On mixer they have buttons apps that allow the stream to do something similar. But it's really nice to use this in Twitch and make for some fun moments ^^ Awesome video and the chroma part is especially useful. *That ha-ha-ha before explaining chromas was so funny ^^*
This is a bad tutorial... Use Nested scenes to put all your media files (aka meme videos with green screen), apply a filter with chroma key on the nested Scene. Then just insert this scene in all your scenes. Now, create a multiaction key to activate source, add a delay on the timing when the source ends, and add an auto deactivate source. And here you are, with a single key to press and nothing else to worry about.
I don't think any way is good or bad, just different. You can also work with source groups. The viewer won't see a difference, it's just what you prefer working with.
using a streamdeck multi action you can set this up that it isn’t required to press the button a second time.make the button a “multi action” then add the source action like you did with it set as activate. then add the delay option and set that to the length of the gif then copy action 1 but have it set to describe now will work in 1 step. That works in SLOBS unless OBS is different
Hello Trui! That was super helpful and I can't wait to try that out on my stream deck. Do you have a video on how get funny movie clips added and where someone might go to find snippets? Thank you for your help in advance
Hey! No I do not have a video about that. I usually just google the meme I want to have. So with this one I just googled "John Travolta meme" and download where I could find it. Downside of this is that you need to know how the meme is called.
Memes start all over the internet, it's not like they are all containted to one website. So sadfully I can not give you 1 website to find all memes on.
Thank you for the video. This is exactly what I used to do, but for some reason OBS just will not work the way it used to. Choosing the property settings you did in the video (that I also used to choose), the gif will play once, then never play again no matter how many times I push the elgato button. If anyone else has this issue, any insight would be greatly appreciated. I also, after researching for a year and trying many things, could not stop my gifs from playing when the scene switches. (I don't use gifs now because of previusly mentioned issue, so I do not know if that is still an issue.) Thanks again for the video.
Did you make sure you make them unviable again after they played? And there is an option for playing the gif when you make it visible in obs. Standard that is on, you might have turned it off?
I dont know why, but once I play the gif once, it disappears but never reappears when I press the button again on the elgato. I have to close the eye again on my source? is there a shortcut to this instead of having to close the eye to hide it all over again?
There are different ways of doing it. If you use the toggle button you click it a second time to reactivate. You can also add a multiaction nowadays where you add a delay as long as the gif is to turn the eye of afterwards again.
@@trui yes you are indeed correct. Well either is correct. However it just hits my ears wrong because I say it the other way. No hate against you or your video as it was a ton of help! So thank you very much.
Thanks, Trui, this really helped. I am sequencing my memes, editing them & setting up the triggers for the Memes on my Stream Deck.
Keep it going 👍
Thank you! This helped out heaps. Great video 😃🤟👍
Glad to hear it!

That is 900IQ plays! GG! Haven't thought of that at all!
I have some super complicated multi actions on mine, some of which have up to 15 different actions all on 1 button
I was using meme board on streamlabs obs and I had to switch to streamelements, you have NO IDEA how much you helped me!! Thank you so much!!

Cool. But do you also have a few honest sites where you can find memes or memes videos?

Meme stream!
YES!

Where can I get GIFs with sounds. Like the Gotten gif
Use 'add media source' the audio will be included in OBS :)
I have the Problem that the multiaction just activate the source, so i just can start the meme once. Do you guys can help me?
The method in the video uses a setup where you need to push the button an other time to reset it.
Multi Action was really usefull, thank you Trui! ;)
It definitely is!
Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Thanks for watching Knox!
Thanks for this video... and not to be triggered but... gif is pronounce G iff not J iff G as in Girl not J as in Jerk (for mentioning this) LOL
Whahaha I do say Gif in Dutch, however the G and J are pretty hard for me in English for some reason I keep messing up with them xD
ohhhh Pretty AND Smart!!! 😍
Thank you!!
@@trui netime! :D
I can not watch this. She says jif... LUL.
Isn't that the English pronunciation?
@@trui yes you are indeed correct. Well either is correct. However it just hits my ears wrong because I say it the other way. No hate against you or your video as it was a ton of help! So thank you very much.
Fun fact: I say GIF in Dutch 😂
