Wow very useful but where can got black film and you put both side same film ? I try to remove display from my pcb my pcb is short circuit when i try to remove display its borken need very polite to dsholdring to pin i will arrnage one speedometer from ymaha service centar then will try.

most probably below layer of the display will fade changing the below one is enough . when you remove the display if u identified that the top layer also damaged then change that one also but most of the time only bottom layer will get damaged
This call linior polarizer. Which u have to place according to the display background which u want. Like dark or light background. If at certain angle if u are having light display background with black letters. When u rotate the film 90 degrees you will get back background with clear letters

I think u r using two polarizer film.1 st on down side of display and 2nd is upper site ?may I correct ?
