This is one of the most flawed, yet greatest RPG of the golden age of RPGs. It took me and my brother FOREVER to beat since we had to constantly rent it, but man what excellent times.
You are right, it has many flaws... but yet so much fun to play. One of the better rpgs on the SNES for sure. You were lucky no one deleted your saved game in between the times you rented it :) You guys must have been super satisfied when you finally beat the game. Personally I would recommend Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI, Lufia II. The first Lufia game is less polished but could be worth a play through. Super Mario RPG is another great game to play. People will tell you Earthbound but I've never played it myself. If you don't mind the long grind then you would probably enjoy games from the Dragon Quest/Dragon Warrior series. Dragon Warrior, Dragon Warrior IV for the NES and Dragon Quest VIII (PS2) are some that I enjoyed. Breath of Fire III and IV were also enjoyable. Final Fantasy X is another one that's worth your time IMHO. I think you'll be good for a little while with these :) Thanks for stopping by and checking my content.

Right now I'm already half way through this amazing game and as you travel from town to town I'm always looking for better weapons and armor and I found the double shot bow for Bow and I put it away for him later on and now his bow hits with twice per round making leveling up so much better!
The double bow is a very good weapon until your ennemies' defense is too high. Are you playing on snes or gba? Thanks for commenting on my video, much appreciated.
@@letsgoretroadventures4896 He's a troll that sucks at every game he plays. Everything "always" kills him in one hit even on easiest blah blah. He got "famous" for trolling the FF7 and Star Ocean 2 gamefaqs boards.
Yeah i only wanted to show what i didn't during my normal play through. I didn't use Katt much so that's why she has a low level. I can tell you though that once you bring her levels up she is a devastating force with her high offence and speed.
jean and cat are such powerhouses and rand is hidden gem love them, all the shamans work so well and excell so good into all the characters that seem so weak in early game.

I agree with you, especially about Jean which i left out for a long time until i decided to bring him up to pace with the other characters. If you manage to get your hands on the NoTwinRP and morph Jean with the shamans then he is on par with Ryu in pretty much all aspects in my opinion. Katt is good for offence and she can finally cast one strong spell, just for the heck of it :) As for Rand he catches up so quickly for HP and defence that he can be a part of the group early on after he is done with the repairs, he has some nice healing spells as well.
@@letsgoretroadventures4896 katt is so busted in her shaman form..at your level a single charge hit can easily 999 and will even bust up a chorking she also can sometimes outspeed the chorking
I remember when I had a game where almost every character was level 99, it was a ton of fun to bring morphed Katt along to destroy pretty much any enemy in no time. She was fast and strong. Thanks for checking my content and leaving a comment.

I tried playing through this, I really did!! That whole proving Bow's innocence the whole first part of the game sucked. Then saving the fat ass queen. I stopped playing and went to BoF1... and dam I forgot it has sooo many battles. It makes me want to finish the game as soon as possible.
I understand what you mean, some quests can be less interesting and kinda break the whole story of the game, it gets better towards the end though. And yes there are too many battles in both games in my opinion. Thanks for stopping by.
Don't waste your time. Just use SHOT with Bow on any monster island enemy and as his level progresses it gets better odds. Switch out Party members frequently and voila

Can anybody help me? I missed talking to rand after colosseum in township. He never told me to go to magic school at hometown. Now, when I go back to township, he’s gone and I can’t trigger the scene in hometown that allows me to go inside magic school. What should I do? :( I don’t wanna lose my progress…

loved the shaman sys. but hatet that if you get killed the fusion was gone and you had to do it again and again. and you die alot in BoF2

But K sludges have more then 999 HP and when they use the Death spell it always KILLS you and NEVER actually misses.
Thanks for the info, I never knew that. But the spell only targets one enemy at a time if I remember correctly.

Hi, I don't think that it's Rand you have to talk to in order to open magic school. Have you tried talking to npcs in town?

The only quality of life this game needed that I can think of (which the GBA version fixed) was a sprint button.
Maybe a little bit more experience per fight and a tiny bit smaller encounter rate but yeah a sprint button definitely
