Agree! Great sounding setup - clear instructions authentic sounding tone and “feel” lesson! Nice axe! Noted the end comment “101”, but listen, the KR string attitude and mastery of let it all hang out, is one not many actually master, this is the truth.
Everyone is free to play songs the way they like. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. But if you play it that way live, I can guarantee there will be people who will notice the difference. I resisted open G tuning cause I thought it too much of a hassle especially live but open G is really simple and you tune down the strings so it doesn't put unnecessary stress on your neck and strings. Playing it in open G sounds very different and it's actually easier than playing it in standard tuning trying to match the sounds in open G. I would play Honky, Brown Sugar, and Can't You Hear Me Knocking in a row as they're all in open G.
Ive been playing it this way live for many years.. no one has ever said anything to me.. :) but I know if you were in the audience you would notice.. We dont always play it so when it gets yelled out .. you gotta be ready to play it in standard.. at least with my band
Nice work. Thanks.
I like your style. Hell of a teacher!!
That’s one thing I don’t like about playing stones songs, you almost need one of your guitars tuned just for that.

I do it and all stones some work better than others NOrules on guitar.
Awesome, great lesson!
Nice, even if only to show off between songs, when you haven't got your open G Tele and refuse to do Keef songs without it. 😂
Thanks so much! Great lesson
