      Thanks, yes he's a quiet guy and like you say humble. He was certainly nice to us and you never know how folks can react to being filmed.
      His own UA-cam channel is a film favourite of ours. A brilliantly talented engineer 👏

      It's great he has the time the equipment and the knowledge to do what he does. I think a lot of potential is being lost by young people not having resources to feed their interests. We're stuck with working and owning nothing.

      @@Banditmanuk Thank you for your patronage, we thank you on behalf of the manufacturer. I remember 49 years ago when I was 16 and my seniors bought new 750cc bikes and rode them. Honda CB750 Four, Kawasaki ZII750, Suzuki water-cooled GT750, Yamaha XS1-650, Kawasaki (Meguro) W1-650, etc., I often had them ride in the back seat. My family was poor, so I couldn't buy it. It's a very nostalgic memory when I think about it now.

    Milliards 6 cylinder kwacker is a marvel or engineering, sounds amazing and is pure artwork.

      We are absolute fans of Mr Allen Millyard's work. That 6 cylinder Z1 looked and sounded amazing. He's an amazing engineering talent 👏
      Its great seeing all the old bikes put through their paces, I'm sure oil slicks under bikes were a common occurrence before the Japanese showed the way.

    @PaulsMotoZen Рік тому +6

    Yeah, I follow Allen Millyard, and his bike builds are just amazing. Some people just have the skills to make anything they want. I really enjoy seeing motorcycles being ridden instead of sitting in a museum. I forgot the name of a museum which have stated that all their motorcycle on display are currently operational.
    I am a motorhead.... I seen the part with the wheelchair 13:20 and was thinking what kind of engine Allen Millyard could build for a wheelchair.
    Maybe Allen will read this comment and start a series of "How to build an engine for a wheelchair".

    • @Banditmanuk
      @Banditmanuk  Рік тому +2

      I'm the same, love seeing classic bikes being used and ridden. There's something slightly sad about seeing an immaculate, highly polished classic on a static display.
      I'm not sure if Allen reads the comments, hopefully he's watched the video. We are certainly fans of his engineering and his UA-cam channel.
      As for a motor for a wheelchair, I'm guessing it's already been done on UA-cam. The Colinfurze channel has certainly built some crazy things and his mobility scooter with a motorcycle engine is a crazy crazy thing!
      Anyway thanks for watching our tiny channel, cheers.

    We were there too! Shame we didn't see you two. We really enjoyed the day. We got there super early and walked the whole track before the event started, just to get some perspective. (No, we didn't ride it. 😁)
    Never saw Richard Hammond but did ogle at Mr Millyards fabulous bikes!! He seems such a humble guy. This was our first ever visit to Prescott. We moved to Toddington, which is only 5 miles from there, a year ago. My neighbour is a member there and apparently their breakfast is very good!👍 It was a very pleasant day but was getting hotter and hotter by the hour! I didn't envy those riders in all their leathers. 🥵We might check out the Steelford supercar event there in August.
    Great video btw. 👍I did try and see if we were on it. We may have been sat on the benches opposite you when you were filming from the top of the hairpin.

      Its a shame we didn't bump into each other there. Would have been nice to walk the track, we've not done that. We didn't get there until about 8.30.
      Allen is a humble quiet guy. He remembered us from the Previous year as I sent him some footage for him to use. His brother is super nice as well.
      I'm glad we arrived by car and not by bike. It's nice to wander around in lightweight gear when it's that hot. Richard Hammond didn't arrive until the afternoon and just sat on the bank watching

    • @5coaly
      @5coaly Рік тому +2

      @@Banditmanuk Yes we also went in the car because it was too hot but also because we've sold our bikes!
      Hammond arriving later would explain why we didn't see him...I've actually stood next to him at Cotswold Motorrad whilst getting my bike serviced and he'd just booked his RT in.
      Not sure what to get next but definitely something lighter (I had a 1200GS and hubby had a Triumph 1200 Explorer). No rush as we want to enjoy our Z4 for a bit. Off to Thornton Le Dale soon. Will have a mooch round Mathewsons Auctions. I just hope we don't end up with a classic of some sort!! 😳

    Ahhh I bet the noise throughout the whole day was incredible, you were in 2-stroke heaven that's for sure 👍
    Never heard of a TriKing before.
    A Kawasaki/Suzuki hybrid? No, I don't vibe with it at all🤣
    I didn't think "The Flying Merkle" was going to make the turn🤣

      🤣🤣 Too hot for biking gear, hence the 'unusual' look.
      Lots of crazy machines there and the air was thick with two stroke smoke.
      Prescott shared our video and commented on our remarks about it needing to be a different weekend to ABR. That's exactly what they've done for 2024, different weekend to ABR

    Not that I'm knocking it by any means, but these creations are tributes to two philosophies:
    Wretched excess.
    If some is good, more is better, and too much is just enough.
    But, they are all engineering marvels, stunning engines mounted to frames, brakes, and tires that were barely adequate. Sort of like the Turbonique Black Widow.

    I’m convinced Alan is a descendant of Albert Einstein.
    Out of all of Alans creations l can’t decide which is the finest looking machine, the RC 374 or the Kawasaki Super Six, if l had to chose it would be the Super Six by a whisker.
    If you’d never heard of Alan Millyard and someone told you he built all these bikes in his garden shed would you believe them?
