A frustrating 2nd session on the river after perch and chub

After last weeks disaster session I tried again on Thursday with not much activity. Thankfully a lovely perch was landed and a few other bits but the river was in a weird condition.

Nice perch there dude! Yeah its been scorching recently, extra 'hydration' has been needed 😂. Ive seen alot of action on the surface too 🤔

Wow that's a massive perch or as Robbie in astrailia calls them red fin. I'd like to cook him up on the pan. 😊

Most of the time the chub and barbel top the surface and jump out to eat the flies and insects lol

I’m surprised they could see them in the faster flowing water but makes sense
