Lure fishing for pike on February 13th, definitely my last pre spawning session.

- So, it seems only fitting that the last day of river season I post my last session before the pike get jiggy with it. Sadly I have not had the chance to fish for 5 or 6 weeks and now something else way more important has got in the way. It will be a couple of months now before I try my hand at pike once more. However, I think I may give you all a heart attack and actually go fishing for carp 🤯😂

😂😂 cheers Robbie, some of the banks we fish can be a straight drop and you need the nets. This wasn’t that bad though the vid doesn’t show it, however it’s slippy as buggery and with winter water temps I don’t fancy getting wet 😂

@@BlackCountryPiker i just popped out for an hour, no fish moving had one and its coverd in leachs and there was a fair few down its mouth. Me rods are down now mate for a bit start getting onto ul. This year im gonna target more stretchs that hold chub and zander

Cheers Craig, that’s a difficult question mate. Every venue and area of the uk will be different. It can go to from the end of march anywhere up until the end of may. It’s been reported if the weather is in their favour they may spawn twice too. As weather conditions are forever on the change nowadays so does spawning. Just try and fudge your area by asking about
Well I'm pretty much fishing baa waters so I'll keep an eye open on you and when I'm out fishing for barble and chub .
I agree with waiting tbh the pike get enough pressure under normal circumstances

Ahh bless you, that’s very kind. All is good in the hood matey it’s just that since February between celebrations, flooded water on days off and then more recently trying to sell our house to buy another I’ve had no days off free to fish. Hopefully all will change soon though 👍

Goes on about spawning then proceeds to fish with out a landing net and whacks the pike on a bone dry matt 😂

What time roughly would you say it’s okay to start fishing for them after spawning ?
In honesty, it will differ across the country mate. Water temp, water depth, weather conditions and so on. The best advice I can give is walk your venue, ask other anglers eh add t they have seen. Check any local fishing clubs and groups on faceache. I’ll be looking at may time 👍
