@@derekjones1330 vs his peak years for sure but he was still shooting at a melo clip. EFG ts & reg fg wise. He wasn’t Kobe anymore. Until the next year lol
@@matthewheuel2508 Yea the two years after the 2010 finals really showed his age, but 12-13 was on of the best seasons he ever had. He was faster, quicker and jumped higher than his last championship year. He looked liked 08-09 Kobe.
@@derekjones1330 spot on. He was exhausted and obviously Father Time on the body. Id say ‘11 was much better than ‘12 he wasn’t on a MJ level more like a prime melo 09 level. EFG at 48.7% which is very solid 👌🏻 & 2pt% 48.4% (great stuff) 25 5 & 5. ‘12 I think maybe because there wasn’t 82 games either. But yeah he was still as good as ‘12 melo but better on D. Making the nba all defensive 2nd team.
He was so physically strong this year compared to the year before. Went to Germany for knee injections. Came back and was one of my favorite Kobe years. Might honestly be my favorite. I think I watched every game.
Yea this was my first year watching basketball, and they were my favorite. Never will forget laker fans ready to kill Steve over them missed threes against OKC.
Watching Kobe Bryant's 2011-2012 season highlights in this video truly reminds us of his phenomenal talent and legacy. 🏀🌟 This compilation captures some of the best moments from what many consider one of his finest seasons. Kobe's skill, determination, and passion for the game shine through in every play. His ability to consistently deliver top-notch performances is nothing short of inspiring. It's incredible to relive these moments and see the Mamba Mentality in action. This video is a must-watch for all basketball fans and a fitting tribute to one of the greatest players of all time.
I’ve said this for years, we see 2 more rings if cp3 goes to the lakers I would bet everything on that since Kobe would’ve saved more of his legs for longer
I think in a more traditional system it could have been better with a really good PG but I think Phil Jackson maximized their success with the triangle offense for the team they had. It helped accentuate the passing skills of others like Lamar Odom, Gasol, Ariza, Bynum, and even Kobe himself. With the triangle offense you don’t need a ball dominant PG to control the game. But if CP3 came it would have been interesting because they were past that offense and Kobe was basically the coach at that point.
@@MasterRoshiSama I am partially agreeing with you. If there were a good PG in the Lakers, all Kobe needs to do is just keep attacking the rim. This would consume him much less energy, so he could play much better in the clutch moment. And also on the defensive side, he would not be request to guard those young and fast guy. IMO Kobe was injured by the over-play in that season especially on the defence side.
@@InsuDog0701 he was absolutely injured by excessive practice and game time. I don’t doubt that if we had CP3 that year he probably doesn’t get injured. If the team was in a better spot which they more than likely would have been. I think you’re right about that time period. A real Pg would have elevated his game
I enjoy watching these highlights of Kobe it brings so many memories back Kobe was simply unguardable and his confidence level was sky high like always that season he was an elite scorer and his footwork was just incredible 🐐
this was a terrible season for lakers, they were taken 7 games by a trash nuggets team, its crazy they could have beaten thunder still, it really paints a picture
People like to forget about this year or forget the lockout year. They just skip to 12-13. I loved this season I wish we would of took OKC to 7 then I think we would’ve gone to the finals maybe won
this 2012 lakers team would have gotten swept by the heat, even though I hated the heatles, this lakers team sucked bad, I was following them and watching them every game, they lost all their good role guys
@@theonlygoodonehere2259 I respect your opinion I just don’t see how Miami would contain Andrew. And would free Kobe up who made the all defensive second team in 12. Kobe and the lakers would’ve matched up well with them. Mike browns system when it worked keeping teams under 100 worked. & the lakers would control the glass and 2nd chance pts. Kinda like ‘10. I see it going 7 games and LAL taking it in Miami with Andrew being the key. Bosh couldn’t stop him and Gasol would also get nice looks and rebounds tenfold. Kobe wasn’t say 06, 07 or 08 Kobe that was MJ like but I’d say he was just as good as wade in 11 or melo. but with better D. & if Kobe got to the line in the series shooting 85% it’s a wrap. Again just imo.
@@matthewheuel2508 I mean thats from their capabilities, but ofc, capabilities doesn't match to what actually happens in the games, from what I have watched us and heat were the teams lakers always struggled to face in the reg season, the lakers have consistently lost to that heatles, team and never really saw bynum or gasol do anything against them, but its just reg season, but from their matchups, heat have always convincingly beat lakers
@@theonlygoodonehere2259 it would be a close series for sure. I just think they’d have no answer for drew and the 2nd chance pts in general and Kobe could still drop 30 a game with great defense.
