Great to see the recent love for ingenious, I was feeling like everyone but me had forgotten this game. Might not be my favourite abstract anymore but still in the top 5
I have Imhotep on order right now, going to be a birthday present for me this month. I just played Catan for the first time at Christmas and I liked it more than I thought I would and since I like Egyptian themes I think I'll enjoy Imhotep too.
The first syllable in Kosmos is pronounced as in 'cosmetics'. The second 'o' in the same way. I'm excited to see the top 10 of the bigger games. Greetings from kosmos-country Germany :)
Yep, that was confusing. I looked it up and the company was named after the Thames Science Centre in Rhode Island, which was a second location of the Thames Science Centre in Connecticut, which was named after the Thames River in Connecticut...which was named after the River Thames in London. So I'm definitely sticking with "tems".
Just4fun is a great game. It is like connect four but you have to add up number cards in your hanfd to play on specific fields on the field. Great with four players
With this "mixed" publishing rights is always hard to determine if a game belongs to a company. E.g. in Germany, Kosmos also did the "Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective", but I would never say it is a "Kosmos-Game".
Love seeing lists like this.
Legends of Andor #1, Imhotep #2 and Domaine #3 Great list here Tom
Legends of Andor is my favorite (although it was originally published by Fantasy Flight)
Mine too

You will love it. I am always surprised at how big the cubes are when i open the box.
Drop It is really fun! Glad to see it here.

Martin Wallace’s Discworld Ankh Morpork and Adventures of Robin Hood - the only two Kosmos’ [Mayfair] I own!
Some great choices there! Drop it is one of our favourite party games here in the office!
Lol that complex explanation of North Wind 😅
I actually just bought Imhotep, I've played a BUNCH of it on BGA and had to have the physical game
Such a good game. Wish they made the box half the size though ha
Wow, Northwind is a bit of a rabbit hole.
I enjoyed the original Starfarers of Catan. However, the new edition is "lightyears" better. They did a great update.
Cheers, ☕️
Domaine has a special place in Tom's heart :)
No Lost Cities? I love that game.
Just a note from a Brit that “Thames” is pronounced “tems” not “taims”. :)

Does Pillars play well as a 2 player?
Yes, Pillars is very fun with two players. There is some scaling in the game that helps. My wife and I have had fun at all player counts.

@@peacefuldragon742 Cool! Yeah, I saw a Rhado run-through where he did a cool setup as well.
The title and description don't say top 10 "big box".... games.
You might want to add it if there's still another coming later with the "small" games.
Good thing the video says it though!
Asmodee has the rights for publishing Catan in NA, Kosmos is still the German publisher.

What about "The Crew" ?
Not a big box game
This entire list is a monument to how badly Mayfair squandered their business.
Yes. Mayfair used to be the BIG name in innovative boardgames. (Dating myself; that was ages ago.)
Cheers, ☕️
Legends of Andor #1…. Then the rest
Damn whitehall Mystery didn’t make the cut
Hello
Bye
