@@hamster1412 I don't know if you say that in germany as well, but I think the best one would be gemma (Geh ma --> gehen wir), I use it all the time and it's the first thing my hostsister learned when she came to us.
YB is picking up those words so fast! And we really say "yuhu" when we are excited xD xD xD I'm german, but my study program is in English... And it happens quite often that I can't remember a word in German, so I just use the English one within a german sentence xD ... I wish I would know more languages (especially Korean), but my head would explode (most likely) kekkekekeke Sometimes English is more suitable tho... it's a pretty language! And really useful, I kinda wish I would be a native speaker!
Your pronunciation is so funny sometimes, but "cht" is really hard to say. It's the same thing with the "th" for Germans 😂😂 YB, you're good at German. When Herbert tells you a new word, you are able to form correct sentences with what you already know 🙌👍 Hut ab. 😁 Herbert trying to speak Korean will be a disaster.. I already know 😂
@@YBChangOfficial That is actually really good advice. And there are different "ch" sounds. Harder ones (like Nacht, Wucht, Docht) and softer ones (like Licht, weich, leuchten). Mastering the different "ch" sounds is not easy. And yes, it's like the "th" for Germans. I usually have no problems with pronouncing the "th" but one can here that English is not my first language when I'm really tired or excited. It's so much better than a couple of years ago. Practice makes perfect.
The German hard "ch" (as in 'Nacht') is a very common sound among European languages, so, I guess, it doesn't need much explanation. However, the German soft "ch" (as in 'nicht') is a bit more unique. Depending on the dialect, it can also sound very different. But in Standard High German of Germany, you can think of it as an *unvoiced* /j/ sound (as in 'jawohl'). Try pronouncing the long exaggerated "jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjja!" and then do it while whispering. And there you go! The /j/ pronounced _in a whisper_ is your soft "ch". Easy!
I speak exactly as much German as you'd expect from someone who studied three years in high school and then hasn't in the 5 years since, so I'm at about her level now lol
Juhuu! Finally a Korean trying to learn German 😁 👍 Just a little tipp: when you say the 'ch' in 'ich' or 'nicht' it is exactly pronounced like the 'h' in 'huge'. At least I've observed many (British?) English speaker who pronounce 'huge' like this '휴츠', so there is an emphasis on the 'h'. That's the 'ch' sound in 'ich'! 화이팅!
I really like this. I myself have been learning to speak Irish Gaelic (Irish) but not on Rosetta Stone. I’ve been using the Duoling app and so far it’s proving to be really good😊
Ich freue mich, dass sich zwei so sympathische Menschen kennengelernt haben und sie sich so viel Mühe gibt deutsch zu lernen. Deutsch ist eine schwere aber auch sehr schöne Sprache. Viel erfolg weiterhin 💪🏽🙂
The denglish is real I speak both German and english but my preferred language is denglish cause like if you don’t know a word in one language just use the other
Herbert mocking you with those 40 years! You did good, I agree, it's a matter of practice. German is a though to learn language though, our grammar is no joke. Make Herbert study Korean "zum Ausgleich" ;P
As a foreigner living in German for a few years, i can fully agree, it's catastrophic for me, even though my language is a lot harder, but vastly different too :D
First time on this channel, love your ad of the language learning website. I am a Chinese who are living in Canada but learning Korean now. 이 영상을 진짜 재밌게요 그리고 커플이 달콤하고 행복하다
Ich frage mich ob Herbert in Deutsch flucht beim Fahren... Das lohnt sich anzuhören 😊 I'm thinking about Herbert driving and speaking like a typical German. We love to hate people while driving so it would be great to see YB reactions to that.

YB's favorite German sentence: Auf gehts! (Let's go)
yep! 😂😂
You can say it even shorter: "So!"
And then clap your hands on your thighs.
"Abmarsch", "los jetzt" or "zack zack" would be even more German. :D

I also made the same nackt/nacht (naked/night) mistake when I first started learning German xD
