These men are so amazing, so professional, so brave! And then they can run a foot pursuit like I cannot believe. Thank you CHP for getting another one off the road.
When the driver bailed from the car, he basically did a loop right back into the officers. He definitely saved time for the officers to chase him around the neighborhood.
Where did this guy think he was really going to go? These officers are trained to drive like this to remain calm in an adrenaline pumping situation, which makes them so much better at what they do. This guy didn’t even have a chance so hats off to the CHP ! Well done ! 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Funny how the cops went the opposite way around the building, he ran directly at then 😅 Looks like a young guy, he’s a good driver. Good thing nobody innocent was injured.
The beginning of the massive increase in the frequency and length of high speed pursuits coincides statistically and directly with the release of the GTA video game in 1997. Despite the fact that most of these dirtbags have barely enough cognitive function to wipe their own backsides without adult supervision, and the HUGE increase in police technology to stop these things (surveillance, powerful vehicles, spike strips, helicopters, ets) they somehow keep getting better and better and faster and faster at eluding--until they are ultimately caught. It's almost like it was designed INTENTIONALLY to be a training program for thugs, sociopaths, criminals, and scumbags, to help boost the plummeting ratings of mainstream media news...
you meant the car had great handling assists and he was lucky other on the road had been good drivers so he didn't have to do anything crazy to get out of a crash.
Thank you officers for a job well done! I left Los Angeles 12 years ago. Back then police pursuit was on average 2 per month. Now, it’s almost like an everyday occurrence.
Total nonsense, there are thousands of pursuits recorded annually by the CHP throughout the entire state. We're now into the 10,000+ range annually as of 2020, go look up some CHP statistics. Or, you know, keep crying that the sky is falling.

Suspect was immediately released as L.A. District Attorney, George Gascon, watched the pursuit “live” and determined that it was not in the best interest of the community to prosecute minor crimes and the poor man looked so very remorseful. The California Parole Board is considering revoking his Parole for a week or two and actually require that he serve time for for his previous crimes of Carjacking and ADW. Cost of pursuit to Taxpayers and Insurance companies estimated to be less than $200,000.
I've no idea why I continue to watch these pursuits, I'm always on the edge of my seat fearful of what could happen, everytime I watch my nerves end up being shot to pieces, almost need therapy. still I watch
5:42 it’s amazing how many uneducated people think like this. There’s an entire world of knowledge about driving that people go their whole lives without ever learning about
It's crazy the amount of high speed chases that happen down South in L.A. I'm way up in the Northern California Redwoods, about 3 hours South of the Oregon border, and nothing even close happens on our little quiet 2 lane hwy.101 which I'm thankful for. If I saw someone coming at me from behind at that high rate of speed, I'd probably have a heart attack! The reporter anxiously announcing and yelling over the air is making me more anxious than watching the car speed through LA. lol! Stay Safe L.A.! 🙏
Okay now this person is driving hella of crazy and super fast endangering everyone else. Just a day or two ago a man/woman in a truck with a child in the backseat under the influence driving at high speeds and weaning in and out of traffic on the freeway going off and on the cops straight backed off the pursuit and let that person go do to driving dangerous. This is just insane. Just let the darn chopper follow
The best possible resolution to this pursuit is 10 years in jail. Mandatory . And let that spill into the neighborhoods so everyone knows it’s 10 years mandatory for running
It's amazing how many CHP officers they had on the ground ready to catch him like the suspect was not waiting for that and CHP was ready for that like they came out of nowhere and caught them I'm very proud of the CHP
The difference between pursuits in California and states like Arkansas is comical. California will chase at 70mph with 50 law enforcement vehicles for 4 hours while putting thousands of people in danger along the way. Arkansas state police will chase at 150mph+ with two troopers and do a pit maneuver literally the second they have the chance without hesitation. Theres a bunch of videos on UA-cam of Arkansas state police doing 150+. They dont even give criminals the chance to put people in danger.
Arkansas State Trooper. 115mph? Hold my beer! Thank you CHP for not giving up and letting this menace go. Now let's just hope the DA follows through and actually punish this criminal.
Now just try to understand how we all have been mentally programmed by the system, This guy has been evading arrest for more than 17 minutes at over a 100 miles an hour not caring about anyone's life, but still see him using turn signals not for the safety of it but because of operant conditioning. 😂
This announcer is exaggerating so much. I drive 100 all the time when I go into the store I'm going to the gas station doesn't matter 20 30 50 mph zone I'm always going 100 and I could tell you even with a 2001 Passat there's no loss of control I don't know what the f*** you're talking about
02:00 The deadliest weapon is information. Imagine if cops had a small device they could fire at the vehicle which would stick to it magnetically and transmit their location. Fewer car chases would end with the criminal escaping and surrounding law enforcement agencies would be able to get ahead of them. If the car is a Tesla they might be able to shut it down remotely or take control of the vehicle and literally park it on the side of the road themselves by sending one simple command.
You can tell how rarely they finish these pursuits by how surprised he is that the CHP SUV can keep up 😂 he's clearly not watching the Arkansas pursuits on here
Right, more waste of tax payer money to perpetuate something that is ultimately harmful to society. It would be better, and safer, if they stopped doing these pursuits unless they’re positive the person they’re chasing has committed a violent crime or similar. Since 1979 about 11.5k people have died as a result of these chases, and that’s believed to be heavily underreported. Almost half of those deaths are bystanders or passengers.
These men are so amazing, so professional, so brave! And then they can run a foot pursuit like I cannot believe. Thank you CHP for getting another one off the road.

what a fantastic and professional job by the CHP!
Excellent job officers and way to stick with this pursuit! I’m so tired of seeing these criminals get away after a pursuit has been called off.
LAPD backed away from 2 chases this week. One was grand theft auto involving a driver believed to be armed! Not even tracking mode.
