2 days ago, people were digitizing the newly-found original document. Thanks for pumping this out.

It's funny he wrote this for the Christmas edition of the Daily Express. It seems much more suited for Halloween

Fantastic! Those children are quite an enigmatic trio, they'll be in my head for a while. Wonderfully read, new sub!

I grew up there and remember wandering around the vicinity after watching The Blair Witch. Not the most comfortable experience. Quite sobering. There's a patch where no grass grows, supposedly the site of the gibbet itself.

    "Giblet Hill" ?
    Awesome, i love giblets.
    Oh, wait. Dictionary. Spell check.
    Gibbets are not tasty.
Thanks for posting a Stoker tale i am unfamiliar with.
Sigh. There is no pumpkin emoji. A taco will have to suffice 🌮

Wild wacky world we live in, but love and humor are still free.

The story was only recently discovered in the Library of Ireland, so most people are unfamiliar with it. :)

I can see why Stoker put this aside, it’s a pretty awful effort, no real story just a lot of very odd unconnected ideas with nothing tied up.

The problem with most audiobook channels is that they cover the same relatively few stories that are public domain.

    • @Boogie_the_cat
      @Boogie_the_cat Місяць тому +12

You have to do public domain audiobooks or else you get a copyright strike on your channel.
So, do you want to hear public domain audiobooks or would you rather have nothing ?
Your observation is puzzling, as if you weren't aware of how strict UA-cam is over DMCA and other violations.

@@Boogie_the_cat Not that hard a puzzle; I simply was pointing out how quickly you might go through all of the available content , and then end up with listening to the same pieces over.
      And that's it.End of puzzle.

@@markferguson3745 Horrorbabble has done quite a bit of obscure stuff, there are thousands of old tales out there for those with the skills and desire to dig through musty old books and magazines.

We are lucky they do, and because to each their own, often they will include less known works, but alas those uploads get very, very little traffic. Maybe try tussling about in the VIDEOS tab, like one used to at the record store- of course there they mostly use the same 12 notes…😉
