- Here is a video about how to introduce two birds to each other and how I introduced my two green cheek conures together! To help you introduce a new bird to your bird, I also share some tips on getting two birds to get along with each other! Introducing two birds to each other will take lots of patience and consistency because they most likely will not get along at first! Here is exactly what I did when I introduced my green cheek conures to each other and now they are best friends!

I don't understand why you don't have more subs. luv Your channel and you deserve more!
thank you so much!🥰
Agreed
I agree
💯
Does anyone’s else GCC just bite your face or ear aggressively for no reason. After obsessively flying onto your shoulder and chilling for 10 mins. Far out. My guy is such a bastard 😂
im looking into owning a bird, we used to have birds at home when i was younger (15 years ago) and believe me.. sometimes introducing a cat to a bird is much easier than a bird to a new bird...... this was very helpful, thank you
I dont take things slow because Im patient, I take things slow cause im lazy😂
Lol
Wow that was a brilliant step by step guide, you showed the commitment it takes in getting another bird as a ‘possible’ friend for the 1st bird.....I think I’ll wait for a while 👍🏽
Wait why you have so little subs-
CAN NOT BE POSSIBLE
Also new sub ;w;
Haha thank you so much! 🥰
You are the Most helpful and you actually look like you care about your birds you have PASSION u just earned a new sub
This video is so helpful! I definitely want to get another green cheek at some point in my life (not for a long while)! 💕
I'm so glad you found it helpful! haha one day! 😉
What about now
i just got new bird today because i felt guilty of having single bird . but im nervous too if thy cant get along..so this information are so helpful.. im going to follow step by step.. hopefully they both soon will be good friend. thanks 💕
I have a rosy bourke how is about 8 years old and I just got a green cheek conure how is 2 months old and they get along so well it like they knew each other before they even eat from the same bowls and they sleep neck to neck it's so adorable to see then together
How are you not crazy famous!?😉
Aw shucks 🥰🥰
New to your channel but you’re great! I’ve just subscribed and wish you a lot of success!
Thank you so much! 🥰
Really great tips! I was recently given some advice about stopping potential fights by using a sheet of paper. So b instead of trying to separate them you just stick the paper in between. It's quick and easy! I'm working on introducing a green cheek to my black capped and I really like your tip about a table with separate spots to avoid territorial behavior. Definitely going to try this!
Thank you so much! I bought a conure named coco for my bird kiwi to have a friend! They love each other so much! I did lots of the steps today so now they are just talking and playing around! Kiwi still attacks but she is starting to behave! Can’t wait to see how their relationship goes!
Wish I would have known this before I bought a second budgie. 🧍🏻♀️
Sub'in just cause your a good person and have my bird. Outstanding and I am getting another so helpful as well.
Blessed be...
Thank you so much for this helpful video! I realised I was going to fast with the introduction. Will take things more slow now and follow your tips. They are in seperate cages still and the original one is too dominant over the new one. Hoping that they will get along eventually, I guess patience is the key to everything here. So thanks again, I love your channel ♥️🦜
Update
Did they? I have the same situation he attacks when the new one approaches
You really did a good job and it was definitely helpful, but i suggest before getting conures its better to get two conures when they are at a young age, they are more likely to bond and be companions, but still yours was very helpful thank you! 👍🏻
The OH just made me laugh XDDD
This is so helpful. Thank you so much
Yay I'm so glad you found it helpful! 😊
Thank you. Very helpful video ❤
I love the transitions
All your videos are so great!
Thank you so much! 💕
I'm really thinking of getting a second one but am really hesitant but thanks for your video it was insightful 😊
Did you end up getting a 2nd bird? If yes, I'm curious to know how the two birds bonded. I have a Sun Conure and feel like he may need a friend but am nervous as he is a real one person bird haha
Very helpful video I've got a lovebird and I'm about to adopt a GCC so researching as much as I can
Can you lower the volume of the background music if you don’t mind, in future vids 😁
I got a conure because of your videos but i also did a lot of research before getting her
you deserve so much more, love your vids !
This is helpful for my two cocktails
I just realized I’ve been bingeing ur vids and forgot to sub
Thank you. I appreciate the information you provided.
Wow thankyou so much for making this particular video im working on getting another bird into our little flock and this information is extremely important as I made horrific mistakes with my first and second conures it did not end well and I didnt understand how I went wrong but now Im finally ready to give it another try your babies are beautiful thankyou so much again ❤
This is exactly what I needed!
I have an 8yo and 1yo gcc (both male) and I've tried to get them to play in the same space for months. It didn't occur to me to bring them to a neutral space for playtime! I'm going to try that and hope that I can finally get them to get along well enough to be out at the same time
Update?
Seeee this is what I been telling my mom😂 but since I’m 19 she’s the “Adult” but MY bird Omelet has never been with another bird and she keeps saying I should get him a friend but I need to wait and on that note everything your saying I’ve told my mom but she don’t seem to want to listen any ideas on how I can convince her to listen to me last thing I want is her to bring another bird home only for one of them to get hurt she also believes they should be immediately kept in the same cage which isn’t true I know that but mom don’t seem to listen on top I love Omelet and for her and the one day future bird my mom gets sake I need to convince her that it’s not that easy
Show her the video, she’ll understand from another person’s opinion
@@gianlucabaldacchino2782 Tried that she refused to watch it and guess what she got a second bird
It would be good with a video about biting, why do they bite , when do they bite and how can you stop it?😊
A way that I saw online to stop biting was so nothing when they bite you don’t flinch because it tells them that you are scared of them and don’t say “NO” either because that Gives them attention and when they try to bite you just turn your hand into a loose fist and put the top of your hand to them becuase they can’t bite because it’s hard to grab and pinch the top of your hand
@@gordo9165 good tips about the hand thing, I can prob do that to my boy because he is like tasting between my fingers (not biting, just biting sometimes) and then I just put him away But he does not understand my signal. But my girl, ohhh She is a monster😂 I cant have my hand close to her bc She Will haunt that hand down until its dead😅
Thanks this vid was very helpful 😊😊
I'm toying the idea of getting an English Budgie as a companion for my 2 year old Green Cheek, separate cages naturally, plus the English is twice the size of a regular budgie. Your tips are definitely worthy. Though I don't want to have a second green cheek, especially since there will be an age difference, plus want to avoid breeding issues.
Thats not a good idea, if your green cheeck conure is on a bad mood he will attack or kill the budgie, please never keep only one bird, and get another conure from the same age and species, different gender, if you dont want them to breed dont get a nesting hide, and they are not going to lay eggs.
Great video thank you!
when i got mine, they were lovers
What if your conures keep trying to goto each other to meet? My green cheek introduced himself/herself have to get a DNA test for my Green cheek Conure. I know my SunConure is a girl. I’ve caught them trying to meet, now it’s on a regular basis. I put my green cheek Conure on my shoulder, and my Sun Conure on my lap. They never fluff up, become aggressive, or do they display any negative be. The day my Green jumped next to my sun on a communal cage they weren’t attacking. I always put my sun on a neutral cage when I get ready for work in the morning. One morning my Greenflew off the cage and climbed up on the perch with my Sun. Not sure how long they were together, but I freaked out and pulled them apart. Does this mean they won’t fight if they meet? They’ve been in cages apart from each other in the living room since end of September, so they are familiar with each other. Please help! They want to meet, I’m sure of it!! But I’m scared!!!!
I have a Maroon-bellied conure and I am worried if I get another conure maybe even a green cheek my conures will want each other and not me and I will lose my companions.
Will this happen?
Great videos, thank you
Hope you will get 100m!!!
I have my new 2 birds in my same room but in different cage. The thing seemed to have no differences
Love this video. It's extremely helpful. But if you could take small breaks in between the tips and tricks versus mushing it all together making the video long and harder to really digest.

My thought:whit a fruit bowl?
I love your channel ❤️❤️❤️
I LIKE YUUUU
You’re so awesome 🤩
I had two green cheeks who were clutch mates and the male died last night, I want to get her another companion. She is 3 1/2 years old and the sweetest bird ever. Would it be best to look for a male or female and also younger or the same age?
can I socialize a conure and a love bird will it be ok with it
I have a question I have a pineapple conure and I recently got two other conures today and I know it's not gonna click immediately, the two conures are siblings and a little scared of me any ideas for the siblings to like me?!? 💕
I have a male green cheek conure which is 5 months old and a female half moon conure (orange fronted conure) which is 4 and a half months old. I got them both at the same day about a month ago, put them in one big cage, but the male one bit the female, at their first night in their new home, too hard that it started bleeding. I was forced to pull the female out to help her, she was so scared, I cleaned the bleeding spot with water and had to put her in a box for the rest of the night. Next day morning I woke up earlier so I could have more time searching for cages. I finally bought one, same size as the first one and she stays in her new cage at the moment. Unfortunately she remains scared while getting out of her cage, but she makes few progresses every day
So how are they now?
Same thing happened between my birds…they fought like enemies and of them started bleeding from the eye…now I’m confused that I should keep the new one or return him?
@@aeyeshashaikh4546 Now, 1 year later, they are like best friends! Sometimes they might want to attack each other when they steal food form one another, but generally for stupid reasons. It's definitely not like they will fight to their deaths. They are prinning their feathers every day, they talk, they play together (but when I'm playing with them the male one will oust the female one for my attention 😂).
@@aeyeshashaikh4546 My opinion is that you should keep it but in a separate cage, quite near to your old bird's cage. If your old bird is afraid by the new one each time it sees it or if your new bird wants to attack the old one, even when both of them are in their cages or at least one is in its cage, then you should also keep them in separate rooms if possible. Birds, as animals, can socialize while eating together (millet for example). Thus, they can and will (I'm hopeful) be alright when they are out of their cages. Even when the get along, do not move them in the same cage, just move the cages next to each other.
@@elylazpro wow 😂😂
How do you get them to be friends, while also preventing bonding from each other so they are still nice to the owners?
Hi love your channel. I’m getting a green cheek conure I’m a few weeks. I currently have 2 zebra finches that I’ve had about a week now. I plan to eventually keep the birds in the same room and was wondering, is it ok to have them all free roam together? After training and all the things you suggested. Wouldn’t rush it. Just wondering if it is safe and possible? Thank you.
I am sure I have watched every video about conure on UA-cam. No one tells me if I am supposed to feed my conure a certain portion daily, or twice a day, or just leave food in the cage all the time? Can anyone please help?
Your supposed to leave the food in the cage all the time. Just change the food everyday! Hopefully this helps:)
I heard you mention leaving the new bird quarantined and once out of quarantine putting their cages together. If my first bird is out every day for most of the day do you recommend still having that much out time? I’d be unsure about my first bird crawling on the other birds cage. Also functioning around the house with the first bird while the second watches from the cage, would that be ok?
Where did you get the blue cage ? :) I’m getting a conure soon and I loved the blue cage and how much was it ?
its exactly our case...haha...we have a rec factor pineapple chick 2 months old and yesterday introduced same age green cheek chick ...they started pruning each other...is that a good sign...plz reply?
i have a quaker parrot and i am looking into getting a budgie. i dont know how old my quaker is, my family rescued him before i was even born, but now hes fallen into being my pet. his past owners were extremely abusive and he has been traumatized by them. the pet keeper that had him in her shop, was sobbing so hard when we bought him, because she was the only person Pudge (bird) has liked since the trauma, and she didnt except anyone to want him. now, hes very territorial, and i can feed him and give him water just fine, and he likes to climb on me and sit on me, but he does not like my hands at all. and, whenever any other person is around, he goes absolutely crazy. im and my family are very used to this, since he's always been like this, but how would he react to another bird? in the past, we had a cockatoo at the same time as the quaker, but unfortunately he passed. i dont rememeber how the acted with each other because i was very young, but i do remember that the cockatoo really liked me. anyways, sorry for the long read! i hope to get some advice :)
Hi!! How did you divide your time with each bird while one of them was in quarantine :(
My cage 31” wide x 37” tall x 20” long and I was wondering if they do like eachother should/could I house them is the same cage
That sounds way too small for two birds.
Do cocktails and cheeked conures get along well
I just took in a second rescue green cheek . He's been health approved and quarantined..... now the new birdie and my green cheek loveeeeeeeee play time together . And even when I try to work with one . Theu just fly to the others cage ..... there Both still sweet with me no major biting or aggression other then then the common conure attitude here and there lol .... im still housing them seprate letting g them have play time together ..... any advise on how tonwork with them one on one without flying to the other. I'm trying to create a friendship with them both and not feeling like just a perch when there out lol
So I have a cockatiel well actually I already have a parakeet right now and I'm still wondering because well I already bought the cocktail but she's still a baby so I'm wondering if they'll get along
hey plz reply
i have a pair of cockatiel and a another pair of baby sun conure which i bought last week so, female conure is too much fighting with female cockatiel and hurt her, so what can i do should i return the conure pair or a train them to stay along with each other.....plz tell me. honestly speaking i want all of them but unfortunately in one cage
i love your vids
Thank you so much! It makes me happy that you enjoy them! ☺️
Can u plz make a vid on how u taught them to step up I may get another budgie my first budgie is trained to step up but it took a year he’s trained now
I have two pineapple Conyers that I got from the same breeder about eight weeks apart. I’m trying to introduce them but the male bites the females feet. How can I stop this?
Im thinking about getting another conure but im afraid he will fight with the new one because he only gets along with me and not my other brothers he just wants to attack or doesnt let them get close to me, is it possible he wont get along with another of his species?
She's grown up quite a bit but she's not ready to go home and I'm wondering if they'll get along cuz like you said like bigger and smaller birds it might be harder to get along
My conure got a friend a while ago and they are now sharing a cage. My conure has gotten a lot more aggressive, especially around the cage. I like that she's less dependent. She is still sweet and loves stitches, she's just not a velcro bird anymore. Is this sudden aggression normal? I'm trying to just keep handling her as normal.
is it ok to have my male conure form a bond with another male conure ???
Hello how are you? question for ya. My girlfriend got a new quaker bird, and some what rushed the bonding process with her current bird. Her current bird most of the time attacks the newer bird (both quakers) the newer bird is a kind of a special needs bird and isn't as lively as her current bird. Occasionally her current bird preens the newer bird but for the most part kind of attacks the newer bird. What would you recommend in this case to try and have them bond if it's possible st this point? Thank you.
Hi! I just recently adopted a pineapple conure to our flock. (I have a green cheek and Quaker) when I first I Trudie d them they were fine together. No fighting, ate together played. Now they are fighting. I have separated them to try to help the situation. Now my pineapple conure is flying to the playgym and going straight to my other conure and fighting. I separate them and monitor them. I’m just very upset they are fighting now. So one of them will be on the playgym while the other is in its cage. Help!!!
Actually I have a green cheeked conure and today I bought a pineapple conure and they are not getting bond to each other
Mam I'm having a green cheek conure
And now I'm going to buy a pair of love birds so will they adjust with eachother?
I have a quaker 1 month old and a plum head 2 months old. They are always biting each other. How do I make them become friends
Sometimes there isn’t a way you might have to accept that they don’t like each other and spent individual time with them
This is kinda how I got my bird and dog to be friends (I know it’s crazy)
Never let them interact cause dogs are predators
Will a cockatiel and an Orange-winged parrot get along? I want to get one out of both of the breeds when i will retire
Not too sure if I should get another one. Just because I spent a lot for one large cage. So can I quarantine them for a bit before selling the second hand cage
I literally have a budgie and a conure living together at first i was scared for the budgie bc he kept trying to get close to our conure since they both had their own playground but one day he got too close and well nothing happened lol they were chilling all the way throughout the present day which is today ofc they had their dumb fights but they still like each other quite a lot sometimes we catch them kissing or at least that's what we think it is correct me if im wrong or if this thing of keeping a conure and a budgie together is a bad idea. Btw is a black capped conure
I have a green cheek female and I just adopted a pair of green cheeks a male and female. Do you think it’s possible for them all 3 to get along one day?
hi
Could you do a video on housing different species of birds?
-budgies and crimson bellied conures
-Cockatoos and Conures
love your videos and birds!
These sizes are wayyy too different and I don’t think it’s safe
@@lunathewolf732 I second that. My ex tried to introduce his African Grey to my blue fancy parakeet. Now my parakeet is missing a toe. 🥺🥲
Is it good that my birds are taking baths at the same time
Are your birds the same gender ?
Does this work with love birds ?
If v pair a pineapple conure with green cheek, will they have any problem. Any problems for their kids
Keep the bird away from each other fir 8 months??
haha no no, just for a month!
@@FlyingFids you are amazing
I don't upload videos on UA-cam normally but I could really use some advice on bird behaviors and how to keep them occupied. Any chance a fellow (VERY PATIENT AND UNDERSTANDING) bird owner would be willing to help a gal out?
What if you get two birds at the same?
Question: what if i dont get another new bird but getting two birds at the same time?
My conures were introduced and my older bird keeps grabbing the new birds beak and they both shake their beaks in that grip. I have zero experience with two birds together, is this normal? It doesn’t seem to hurt each other but it’s so weird
They grab eachothers beaks and shake them? Its them regurgitating food and feeding eachother
WOW I did it all wrong lol
If I get another conure should they be around the same age?
I'm planning to get a green cheek conure when I move out!
I have two cockatiels at the moment and I was wondering if it's possible that they'll get along? I've always wanted a green cheek conure but if my cockatiels will not like the green cheek, I'm just a bit nervous that I can't hang out with them all at the same time
Best choice must be for your cockatiels. Green cheeks are always more energetic, will always try to have your attention and even won't let your cockatiels on you while they're out of their cages. They also are much more louder and bite very hard and can hurt other birds.
If you really want a green cheek try to find a very baby one, so it can get used to its new friends 😃
My conure attacks her own reflection so I’m not sure if getting another bird will be a good idea
I would recommend not having mirrors as a toy
Do genders matter? I have a male conure, if i get a female one will they stop liking me?
So I have 2 parakeets and a cockatiel they are out together a lot but I’ve noticed my girl omelet wants to preen my cockatiel Zazu but if she gets to close he hissed I want to try and work things out so he will stop hissing and I stop worrying about them being to close he doesn’t mind them next to him or being around him only when my parakeets try to preen him I know my parakeets won’t attack it’s obvious but they are also a decent size smaller than my Cockatiel so got any advice to help with this? Or is this one of those cases they just need time because all 3 for the last month come out all at once morning till bed time
It sounds like the birds are still making adjustments because by what you said a few months ago it's only been a few months since they were introduced. My sister had a cockatiel and by species they are easy going, generally. A parakeet is often more active or hyperactive. His hissing is just telling her to back off. He wants his space. Perhaps as more months go by he will come to enjoy the preening. As long as they don't attack each other, but learn to respect each other's space.
Do you recommend getting Two GCC? Also will they bond better if they are both babies growing up together?
Don’t know about the second one (but probably yes) but yes I think you should get 2 (same goes with most birds)
