The only complications I can see is, with Sterno types, you pop the lid on and smother it when you're done, not waste the fuel. The uncontrollable flame is scary for cuffs, sleeves, and wrist meat. 😳
I have the Esbit stove which is similar, but the Esbit fuel stinks. I have been looking for a fuel to use in my car, if I get stranded in a snowstorm. Of course you would have to open the windows to be safe. I would like to make some instant oatmeal and a cup of hot chocolate and I think it would be possible with one cube of the Fire Dragon. Thanks for the review.
Hello jchiliw, Yeah those Esbit fuel tabs stink very badly! But they work pretty good. I am pretty sure you could make the instant oatmeal and hot chocolate on one Fire Dragon Cube. If you try it let us know.
Great little stove. I soldered the fuel compartment to make it leak proof. I cut a piece of ceramic felt to fit and I can use alcohol in addition to the other fuels. Works great. I am going to order a couple more and some low temp brazing rod to seal it. I am old and like to tinker. Do you have a link I can send some photos to?
@@ChefPrepper I put down a old cookie sheet set candles on top. Put a rack with short legs over it and my pan of food on top. The rack needs to be an inch over the flame of candles. If using the little metal fold stove put 2 together and use a skillet instead of a pan. It will heat faster. Important if your power goes out and you medical HAVE TO EAT ON TIME. Iv lived in public housing for years. This is the most reliable way iv found to EAT ON TIME NO MATTER WHAT. And safe to use inside. Just set it up either on the stove or a very sturdy table. Or the counter.
Thank you, such much. Am new to the Chanel and I really like the way you demonstrate different ways of doing things... living in a apartment this definitely helps and works for me....of course with caution....thank you....
I have a Trangia alcohol stove, I also have an esbit stove that I have used both the standard solid fuel tabs but also the DuraFlame mini firestarter sticks. I could put my Trangia on it but I would need a taller pot stand. fyi m y co detector runs all the time whether I'm using anything other then my electric stove or another camp stove
Unlike the Esbit, the Firedragon sits too close to the surface, and the fuel leaks through while burning. Give me an Esbit any day over the Firedragon.

Hello kfsrmn,
Good ideas and thank you for sharing!
I got your email! Thanks for the pics.
Will respond to you tomorrow.
I use tea candles with mine. The small one can be gotten at bed and bath in a bag of 100 for about $8 to $12 depending on what state you live in.
Good Idea. I haven't tried that. I will give it try. Thanks.

I would try tealights with this. It might be better
I'd like to see if you could split one of those fuel tabs in half .
Would be hard to keep the second half from drying out, unless you used right away, but shouldn't be too hard do.
Thank you for watching!
Verry good info! I say its worth it!
Very thorough videos
Thank you.

Hi KaylynnStrain,
Yeah those Carbon Monoxide Detectors should be working all the time>
Thank you for watching and sharing with our community.
Can you extinguish the fuel cube & relight it later, or are they one shots?
I have not tried, but I don't see why not. Might need to leave it in the stove and use it pretty soon?
Thanks for all your pertinent tips!
You are so welcome!
A big no to anything I need for fuel I need to get at the store
