Mike Dodds and his set of clueless coaches need to go along with Kristjaan Speakman if we are to have any chance of success at this football club. Today was another embarrassment against a team fighting to stay in the keguie. Well done Millwall, you got what you deserved!

We had a job to do, and we did it. If we’d needed to do more we could maybe of upped it a bit. It’s almost like people take offence losing to us. We’ll need to have a major clear out in the summer, but it’s gotta be said,,, under Bomber we’ve been really solid. With some new blood we’re also hoping for better next season. When are this lot gonna come out and admit the Shambles of a season it's been and what they're gonna do to make sure that next season we're competing in the top 6 or better cos this season has been an absolute disgrace on and off the pitch and for a club this size it's simply unacceptable, this lot have 2 options either sell up which is what I want or make some drastic changes next season cos if none of these options happen then we're in massive trouble
That is thing mate, in their eyes they are doing a fantastic job and who are we as fans to criticise them. We are just minions to them. They need to realise that WE are the most important thing at the club and things have to change very very quickly. We are going nowhere but down at this moment in time.

I know you're pissed off but that's one of the most honest fair comments from an opposing fan I've heard and that's coming from a Millwall fan so fair play to you. The game was dire but I'll always be grateful for it being the 1 that made us safe. You've got a great stadium great fans friendly folk and even friendly police something seldom seen so good luck for next season hopefully we'll both be battling around the playoffs

I am from the south,Arsenal fan.My wife is from Sunderland and i lived there from 1980 until 1983 but have kept an eye on them all these years.To be blunt apart from the Peter Reid era they have always been shocking,the calibre of player is not up to it.

What a great weekend up the North East and meeting both Geordies and Mackems in Newcastle. As for the game we felt you were the better team and we were trying to play for the draw. But we got that goal and won it. We felt Sunderland had nothing to play for and thinking about holidays as we know Sunderland are a very good team. Hope the fixture will be kind next season and hope to spend another great weekend in the North East.

As Roy kean said in his interview on UA-cam about his time at Sunderland, he said it’s all about the players. The coach, the manager can’t do anything when the players cross the line. I don’t understand the logic behind someone who is not on the field being so important? The key thing is we need experienced players at this level that can push us forward
Good shout Neil but they still need to be coached etc. Mowbray had the same players playing good football, now we’ve stopped playing altogether.

You could clearly see certain tensions behind the scenes between Mowbray and the board just wasn’t right. Mowbray was shut down and ignored by the board when he asked for 1. Experience 2. A proper centre forward but they decide to sack him and bring in a downgrade. Tony had twice the experience as what these lot have upstairs he was only trying to guide the board that you can’t keep signing youth if you want Sunderland to progress and get promoted back to premier league. I tell you what it’s just as well we got those early wins under mowbray and those 4 wins under Beale or I would’ve seriously been fearing the worst. Look at Blackburn they on 50 points they’re still not safe yet and we’re only 53 points so it looks worse than what you think. The people who say “those people who say we’re going down are mad” if we hadn’t of beat Cardiff and west Brom we would’ve actually been heading towards bottom three. If KLD isn’t prepared to invest money into the squad then go! How can you expect to compete at top end of the championship without a striker. Massive summer ❤️🤍🐈⬛

The problems with the present set-up are now so obvious even my goldfish can see them. Maybe, just maybe, Dreyfuss pulls a big surprise in a few weeks and jettisons the spreadsheet statisticians and appoints (and empowers) a manager who gets both football and footballers. Fingers crossed Wayne.

I had thought that you had been overdoing the whingeing over the past few weeks but your last two messages have been right on the button in all respects. We do have too many inexperienced players and the model is ineffective. We need a whole new team of coaches and managers as these guys have indeed gone far too far down the path of experimentation and mediocrity.

Laboured,pots shots from distance sky high or comfortable for the goalkeeperDack put in two decent corners but we could not take advantage of that.Both headers over the bar!If Dack is injured that I think that should curtains for him playing for the club again.A shadow of his former self.I think Mowbray was thinking he could work back to fitness and see the player he was at Blackburn but its not to be.We have played badly with Dan Neil in the side but in recent games he's been the stand out.Today he left a gap that seems no-one can fill?Ekwah is not the answer.Dodds needs to get the memo he's an attacking midfielder in my opinion!?Unfortunately an old player in Duncan Watmore punished us eventually and showed us how to finish,where to run in the box!
Great comments Stephen. Agree with everything you said. We are going nowhere but down under this regime/model. Can get away with it in the lower leagues but if you want to succeed in the top leagues investment and experience is needed.
Alright Wayne, said last wk on way back from West brom papering over cracks fear for us next season as uve already said who would want to come & basically have there hands tied behind there backs before they even get through the door. I've never felt as low as this supporting the club even in the league 1 days as under this current ownership & there stubbornness to stick with this model/plan & not even try to be flexible I really don't see the club moving forward. Hi Mark mate. I’m actually at a loss as to where we go from here! Names being linked for signings are already going down the same route. Young players who are “for the future” well the future is now Mr Speakman. None of your “for the future signings” are anywhere near good enough and not looking likely to be either. Watched John O’Shea and Big Sam on a podcast yesterday criticising the “model” saying it very rarely works, great on paper but in reality it’s shite!
Our only hope is someone comes in with a big offer to buy us but we know that’s not going to happen so at the minute we look forward to another yes man coming in to work with the current set of incompetent coaches and average players. Supporting SAFC is a prison sentence not a pleasure at the minute.

Sunderland needs to appoint a good manager + 2 good strickers for next term or we will be in this league if we are lucky for the foreseeable future played 44 games and didn't win half of them piss poor for God's sake just sort it out no club in this league when at home + 8 in the premier have a following better than Sunderland.

Thr referee was abysmal.th Absolutely no goal threat. Millwall just sat off us and quelled everything. Clarke yellow card was embarrassing and possibly set the tone for his poor performance. If sheff wed need a win against us on last day have a big bet on them winning to get some financial consolation from this desperately disappointing season

What I can't understand mate was the formation that was played against a duff Millwall side who basically parked the bus. SAFC played a 3-4-3 formation which is a safe set up not to concede! WHY?!
First 20mins wasn't that bad with Pembele having some freedom to play forward. Dan Neil was a miss and I think Dodds was bricking it because he may feel that a decent holding midfielder wasn't on the pitch. Surely a 4-1-4-1 with Ekwah in his preferred position would have been more exciting to watch, especially at this stage of the season because SAFC now have nothing to lose!
Dodds should have grown a set and played a back line of four defenders Hume, Ballard, O'Nein and Alese with Ekwah as the lone holding midfielder. The advanced midfield four made up of our two attacking central midfielders, Dack and Rigg with Ba on the right, and Clarke on the left with Jobe up front on his todd.
So, Dack brought in as a frontman with no one around him to play off and everyone questions "was Dack on the pitch"? Focus on why fans asked this question, there was no intelligent play around him! It was stale and needed to change and what does Dodds do, bring on a defender for a forward! Hume on for Dack. I mean, WTF?!
Inept management! Sorry mate, this sustained moaning on about the owners is becoming tiresome. Dodds and the players are to blame and they have to carry the can on this one. IF you can't get the formation right this far into the season AND against a poor Millwall team, then you need to be out the door. I reckon 75% of the players have to go along with Dodds. I was really pissed off with this one purely for the lack of understanding of how not to use your players properly, forgetting that you have to give the fans something to cheer about at home at the end of the season, and attempt to play exciting football for the faithful. Who gives a toss that you gifted five goals to Blackburn, go out and do the same to Millwall man! SAFE = STALE! WHY?!

Hi only fools, totally agree. I've never seen Dodds take on the game today, I'm sick of his patter. He must think that he's explaining Einstein's theory of relativity the absolute shite he talks. Any way the the boring shite that paraded as a foot ball match was enough to send a glass eye to sleep. Who picks the team and tactics? I think it's Speakman. Dodds and co need to be gone. How can a new coach work with these blokes. A new coach needs to bring his trusted team with him, not work with planks like these. If these two go down the same path, we're fucked.
Hi Stephen, Been saying for weeks that Speakman has so much input, they are all thick as thieves as he wants to keep them all in a job next season. If these coaches are all here next season, we get relegated. Simple as that as they have no clue at all.

You've just got to look at Jobe coming in, he knows the family, and Jobe has never missed a game, even in midfield season when he looked as though he should have been rested there he was. We ended up playing with ten men in quite a few games all because the coach was stopped from resting him. Tony Mowbray for example.

Cory Evans back total waste was a headless chicken couldn't pass the ball Dak tried to direct some play showing experience but again a waste Clarke couldn't pass anyone never mind the ball only Rigg showed balls the only player in the box for corners and was brutalised by 3 big defences around him almost child abuse we have and are over using our young players but got nowt else, God help us next season
