Thanks for posting! Just wanted to add that you have to hold down the button for 20 seconds, until the light turns off, in order to re-initiate the three light modes (hi, lo, flashing).

Glad I read that comment, I couldn't figure out why the light wouldn't stay on!

After I’ve just emailed Nite Ize I thought I’d search UA-cam and I found the answer I needed! Thanks for posting that :)

Thanks for the comment about holding down the button for 20 seconds jlryder97! I changed the batteries easily, but it was stuck in momentary switch only mode.

found this rather fussy to take apart and put together. tip: if you are sure you are going to break it, you are exerting enough force - this also goes for putting it back together. tip: I found that 1xCR2032 battery works as well (found at any convenience store) as the supplied 2XCR2016s, which are less common.

Cool. Wasn't too difficult. I really dig this light (lite, lyt, lit...). Always leave it bent around the arm at the base of my sunvisor. That way, it can serve as a discreet 'maplight' as opposed to the bright interior lights of my car. I don't have a light in my garage yet, so I reached into the car, grabbed the light off the visor, turned my baseball cap backwards and bent two of it's arms behind the clasps to make an easy and irritation-free headlight until it ran out of batteries. I'm gonna stock up on CR 2016's. And maybe i should keep a baseball cap in the car too =^)
PS: Although this sounds like an ad, I have absolutely no interest in this company and i'm not getting any free chit for this chit. I just found this thing to be pretty darn useful for the amount of dough i invested. All true.

Replacing the battery is a PITA.. I used a 2032 as noted below.
Thanks for the tutorial -though seeing the actual process vs the "legs" while you worked above the camera would have been better!

Thanks for posting but just a heads up night ize does not control the market on cr2016 batteries you can get them at any AutoZone or advanced Auto parts right at the front
