Hey Pete I know this has nothing to do with this video and I don't know if you'll ever actually see this comment but I just wanted to reach out somehow and let you know that because of your testicular cancer videos I caught mine fairly early and I had to get a few rounds of radiation but I've been all clear since. I owe you a lot because your videos basically saved my life. I can't thank you enough and seeing how positive you stayed throughout your treatment really helped me mentally get through this.

Pete, the ones you wanted are “Quesabirria” which as you described is a taco/quesadilla hybrid that’s deep fried, and the little soup is called “Consomé”
Quesabirrias arent originally deepfried but im sure they would taste good that way

From what I know the taco shell itself is dipped in the “sauce” and then put on the flat iron to get slightly crispy, then they’re assembled as you got them. These seemed authentic.

Pete!! Brother I’ve watched your videos here and there when I get the chance from the eating challenges to the fitness stuff to the straight up real life talk. I had a scare with my boys (you know…my family jewels) and your openness and talk of just facing things for what they are, even if it’s something so awkward like your boys needing checked, just really helped me. I feel like I had an extra certainty and confidence getting checked by the doc seeing your response to your situation. I’m not sure if your content directly helped me step into the doctors office, but regardless I appreciate it. Everyday you have the possibility to reach new people and provide perspective/context for their life map and maybe even help set a better course in doing so. Maybe this comment doesn’t get seen, but I just had to let you know I’m thankful you’re on this planet and we share a similar timeline. It might not seem like it all the time, but the view of your life through this channel is inspiring. Thank you Pete.

I've never had birria tacos before but i have had homemade carne asada tacos and homemade salsa Verde, my favorite of all time, and we dip the corn tortillas in the flavorful juices in the pan of the meat and seasonings and put them on a warm pan and make it crispy like birria style tacos.

Hey Pete, missed ya. Birria tacos are so damn good. They arent supposed to be deep fried. They dip corn tortillas in the consume (thats what the broth is called) and then toast them, so they kinda caramelize and its just delicious!

This is how you eat birria tacos, the fried ones are more like quesadillas with corn tortillas. Mild salsa is usually more spicy, since Mexican people eat spicy salsa
I think the shell is supposed to be crispy but it probably still good either way!!

Thing is “birria” is the meat how is cooked/seasoned the way you are describing it seems more like a quesadilla with birria inside normal when you go to a FOODTRUCK that it only is specialized in birria they have as many options and the sauce you dip it in is actually a soup “consome” you can even order big cups and you put limón onion and cilantro and some have rice and garbanzo beans.

Hey Pete the one you are thinking of quesabirria tacos. The one you had in the are just Birria tacos. Quesabirria Tacos are dipped in the Birria juice (consomme) which is the juice you dipped the taco in, in the video. Then cooked with cheese on top the Birria is added then closed to make the tacos.
Dude, those look so damn good, I just got hungry here! Birria tacos can be messy, but so worth the deliciousness!

That place is so good, however driving into the plazza is a nightmare!
Birria tacos usually come with cheese or the ones I’ve had but definitely I’ll be asking for cheese when i order mine in the future.
