- Join Chris Bishop of Yo-Zuri America as he fishes the Cape Cod Canal in search of huge springtime cow striped bass. With schools of Atlantic mackerel pinned inside the confines of the Canal, Chris puts the mackerel color Yo-Zuri Hydro Minnow LC to work to land striped bass up to 48 inches in a multi-day blitz of big fish as they migrate north in 2019.

@@michaelmoody506 Thank. you!!
I thought Sandwich was at the other end of the canal
Social media has ruined the CCC.
Take that tail hook off Cutlet 💯
Let the ditch trolls keep trolling. CCC is worth the trip and takes no skill to fish in a barrel.
NEWS FLASH! Massachusetts, under pressure from sportsmen, has now allowed assault rifles for use at the Cape Cod Canal for shooting striped bass! Hollow point ammo is required so the bullets have lesser chance of skipping across the water and hitting a fellow fisherman on the other side. Fishermen have been seen netting dozens of striped bass after emptying banana clips at a school of fish. Get down there before all the fish are shot! And remember, you heard it here first!
@@mandofisher70 lol time to bring a .50 cal to shoot some fish.
Don't listen to him, the ditch is not worth fishing.
Ha Ha - yer right. Nope. No fish to see here........just move along, please. BTW - Maine has a really hot bass bite.
I would never use treble hooks.
I hope you threw it back there was hardly any spawing fish in Chesapeake Bay this spring. Even Virgina the netting capital if the east coast canceled the spring trophy season. Marylands governor is in bed with commercials so they kept it open. Its time for a respite again for 5 -7 years. If the saltwater tackle/marine manufacuters would get active it would help but all they care about is the bottom line
MA has tighter regulations than VA/MD combined. MD had a terrible trophy season anyhow and its not due to whats happening on the northern waters. MD/VA have been netting nonsensically for many years now which have killing the fisheries.
@@dannpakk Plus no superspawns for a while now.
They need to implement a slot size and make it tighter at the docks in my opinion to sustain a good class of fish
@@dannpakk We went to a slot last year in Massachusetts . Keepers are from 28-34". A lot of big girl breeders were thrown back. Is that doing any good? Not if they get netted in Virginia. But Hopefully it will go some good. We'll see after assessments.
@@mandofisher70 100% agreed. Regs still have not changed for MD/VA Trophy season 2021. They are letting us keep 1 over 35 inches between May 1 - May 15. Then one over 19 inches after May 15. Gill nets are absolutely horrible. I have fished around the nets which is insanely good when the bait pods are trapped there. The worst is when you see 40-50lb striped bass belly up in these nets because the commercial guys check them once every couple days.
