I like to add something a bit citrusy at the end of my pommy style stouts, Cascade works nice, enought fruit to add some charatcer but doesn't come on too strong. It is an interesting combo.
Good one LJ. My old man really likes that one just done 60/40 LDM/DEX but then again I think he would drink the dogs arse lager and think it’s magnificent lol. I like the idea of a black IPA out of that kit. Cheers 🍻
Did an Irish Stout with Citra hops. Come out like a Black IPA.
Interesting tang beween the malt and the Citra? 🍺

Cheers mate 😎👍 good job.
how long does your kit beer normally stay in the fermenter
14-21 days. same as any beer. I'm running these kits closer to 14, then 6 weeks in the bottle before tasting.

certainly better when leaning to being malt heavy, which is no surprise really.
@@littlejohnsbrewing it seems to be leaning that way with a lot of kit/kilo type brews, well that’s what I’ve learnt anyway.
@@rayw9067 yeah mostly but I am finding that some do better with more dex, but you still need some added malt with it.
LJ, how's the twang on the dark ale?
It's not overly dominant, but it's there atthe back end..... wouldn't take a lot to cover it.
