In 2010 there was a DSP in Islamabad police named Idrees Rathore, he was the right hand man of Malik Riaz who settled cases launched by poor landowners around Koral chowk area of Islamabad involving land grabbing by Malik Riaz. Taji Khokhar was also involved in this. The poor landowners were made to sell their ancestral lands to Bahria Town for pennies. Whoever dared to resist or approached the local police, DSP Rathore made sure that they could never get any justice. Fake FIRs were launched against the poor people. This DSP remained suspended from service for a long time but nobody could dare stop the nexus of Bahria Town, Taji Khokhar and DSP Rathore and his subordinates. May Allah curse these people.

Being a native citizen of the twin-city, there are a few things that Azaz forgot to mention or was scared to mention.
1) When Taji Khokar collaborated with Malik Riaz, they both worked on acquiring lands illegally in which they were succeeded.
2) Forces were the main marketing bait of Bahria town. Malik Riaz offered army personnel plots, bungalows, and what not on either 50% price or free to increase the credibility.
3) There are videos on record of forces' personnel who took bribes from Malik Riaz.
These three are a few of many secretive things that people know but are afraid of due to Malik's influence in the mafia, politics, and forces.

Great research and exposé. But what does this say about us Pakistanis in general? Everyone knew this man was shady from the very beginning. Almost every project of his is tainted in blood of the innocent. How do people who still reside in one of these projects rationalize their decision? Lowest of the low. Ethically and morally.
Yes. But everybody in Pakistan is corrupt. Shopkeepers give bribes to open shops and encroach on footpaths and roads. Petrol pump owners sell impure petrol. Lawyers never abide by the laws the study. Doctors are always mismanaging patients. Home-makers encroach on others lands. Mechanics deliberately damage car so the person who doesn't know what is wrong with car will keep coming back. Restaurants don't give fresh, pure food. Etc etc.
There is no law and order in Pakistan. When Law and order becomes implemented properly for everyone, all problems will be solved

Perspective of a Pakistani American: I equate Malik Riaz with the Robber Barons of America from many decades ago. They used their connections and some corruption but eventually created a lot of jobs and infrastructure. Pakistan can never be corruption free, at least not for generations or centuries, but if political wheeling and dealing makes a nation advance then so be it!
