I totally agree and we have a very similar skin tone(color). I’m rosy toned. Yellow based foundations make me look SICK. Saying “everyone” looks better in a warmer yellow toned foundation is not true for those of us with rosy skin tones. I found some Korean bb creams that are actually kind of gray toned and they look really good on my face. I realize this isn’t for everyone but that’s the point- we aren’t all the same.

I have a small handful of foundations that look great on my 67 year old textured skin and this is my new favorite. I wear it almost every day. I like it more than La Mer and that’s saying something. It looks beautiful on your skin.

Yes ma'am, I would love to see your thoughts on different foundations!! I am the same way...once my makeup is on...it is on, I do not touch my face until I cleanse at night. I will re-apply lip gloss but that is it. I love that foundation too because it does give my dry skin a little glow and because I rotate my foundations anyway I don't mind the cost (as long as it isn't ridiculous!) because I don't use it everyday!!! For me, I choose my foundations as well as the other items I use on my face...depending on where I am going and what I am doing. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts today!!

I heard that too about going warmer... I'm basically neutral, but I tend to go for cooler tones.. to "warm" it up , I use peachy toned blushes ... but never anything that is orangey... and this foundation looked lovely on you.. but I can see why you say in summertime it would be a hot mess! Anne, your skin looks great, then again your bare skin looks great. I love how natural it looks on you! I have dry very mature skin, but I still enjoy your foundation videos! Beautiful look today! I wish I had your skin! Just started skin care at 65! I looked up my Amazon order the brush cleaner I mentioned, is General Masters brush cleaner. I saw a video of Michelle Spieler mature master class. It’s a 24 ounce tub. Easy to use. Cleans brushes like a dream. $10.37. No mess, brushes look new after washing. I would love a video of your hair care products. I am considering retiring in Florida. My bones love the Florida weather. My hair in Florida gets so frizzy.

That looks gorgeous on you. I’d be tempted if it wasn’t so expensive. And I totally agree on the colour. I have a similar skin tone to yours but with a little more pink, and so many foundations are too yellow. I’ve just bought an Il Makiage foundation but it took three attempts to get the right colour. I’d love to see more foundation videos.

Hi Anne, yes PLEASE share your suggestions for different foundations for various times of the year. Our skin tone & type of skin is very similar, except I’m an old lady! I live in Southern California close to the ocean & it can get hot later in the summer - thank God not too much humidity like you have! I am also enjoying the new Chanel foundation, but I’m also a little concerned about summer. Would love your input. Loved watching this video - always excited when you post. Thank you! Becky

Love the way your skin looks with that foundation. . Not greasy but glowy.. I have it and love it. Agree with you most mature ladies tenfd to go with a darker foundatio than their natural skin color and it looks orange. I try to match my skin color and that is the way it look better for me and for what I see also for you. XO

I have been told that too and I agree with you I want it to match my skin. Not sure what the logic is with the oranger idea. Your skin looks amazing. I said I wasn’t going to try anymore and now you had to show me this lovely light foundation. I need to throw out the useless ones I have sitting here some years old so I feel less wasteful. Looks so beautiful on you!! I picked this up about a month ago and its rivaling my Armani Luminous Silk and Chantecaille Future Skin. I really been loving it and the lip and cheek balm. As a side, I've also been using some of the skincare from this line, and don't know what this magic is, but my skin looks incredible...better than anything I used in the past. I haven't wanted to use anything else, including my tretinoin...my guy even noticed the change in my skin.

Hi Anne, your skin looks perfect, if I had skin like yours I wouldn’t be bothered covering it up with any type of foundation actually, and that’s the Truth, I have a lot of sun damage and age spots and when I’m looking for a foundation, I’m wanting something to cover those imperfections up on me without being too heavy of a foundation, I usually match my foundations to my neck only because I’ve got natural olive skin tone and when it’s Summer here I tend to tan very easily when I’m out in my yard and garden, even though I put Sunscreen on and wrap a little bandanna around my neck to protect it from the Sun ☀️ I’m still tanned and have a more yellow undertone in my foundations, I even have the tan marks on my feet from wearing my flip flops when I’m outside Lol 😂 and that comes every Summer on my feet and usually stays like that even once our winter months are here, the only parts of my body that are kind of pale are from the clothes I wear Lol 😂, my arms, legs, chest (depending on my top) and feet are all tanned, I live in a climate that is mostly Warm to other places in Australia 🇦🇺 but when Winter 🥶 hits, I really really feel it, anything under 25 degrees Celsius and I’ve got a cardigan on lol 😂 (you can do the conversation rate to Fahrenheit) I think it would be much like where you live, So, in saying all that, I’d love a video on different foundations for the weather changes. Happy Easter 🐣 Friend, it’s Good Friday here today and having the family over for dinner tonight, fish, prawns and bugs are on the menu Lol 😂 (not sure what you would call the bugs lol 😂) but it’s all Seafood 🦞. I use Chanel No. 1 in BR 22 because BR12 is too light. I put a drop of sunscreen it it and it works really well. It doesn’t oxidize as much.
I will have to get another shade once I use this up. I thought it would have been darker than the B10 I was matched up to. It is a little pink but I'm going to work with it since I can't return it.
Hi Anne I’ve got dry skin but it’s weird cause I use many of the foundations you use . Well not that dry but anyways beautiful foundation. I haven’t seen that brush but I definitely want to pick it up. Also I feel the older I get I want a light foundation darker looks harsh and I don’t match with my neck I use little bronzer for that .
Your makeup looks beautiful that’s how I wear my makeup .

Which is better, Laura Mercier Flawless Lumiere Fond or Chanel No. 1 Foundation? I want to buy it but I'm still confused between the 2
IMO they're totally different. Chanel is thinner and more skin like IMO. Laura Mercier is a medium coverage with a beautiful glowy finish.

I love her eye shadow primer. I purchased her under eye brightener and I didn't see any brightening for me. I've actually tried it twice. Nothing else from her line has appealed to me yet.
Thanks so much! I was considering the under eye brightener, the eye serum intrigued me as well. My eye issues are my upper eyelids, her product can be used on eyelids. Not sure if most under eye products safe for upper lids.

Hi Anne. I got the BR12 and it looked too light in the bottle but ended up being perfect. Usually the CT cream works for me pre foundation but it’s not working for those lines around the mouth with this foundation. Now that it’s summer I won’t be wearing this much unless I have a special event. I prefer a good tinted moisturizer from a dermatologist. But I really love the colour and finish on the Chanel and want to use it. Any ideas? Not a powder person except for the cheek bones and t-zone. Makes my face feel dry.
Funny I have been told that more than once too about using a warmer shade as I age. I also am not into an orange face and white neck. 🙃
