Kris works 80 hours a week at a paint store and took this fight short notice. And he also coached his jujitsu class the next day. Even if he lost I wish nothing but success to that man. I really hope he improves.

Mountinho is the purest essence of a fighter and i am glad he is a part of the UFC.

That’s what I noticed watching his fights before, he doesn’t move his head. I knew he was about to get picked apart and battered because of it, and that was an accurate assessment.
Yeah dude. Kid has grit and heart. But yeah he definitely need movement. Not even head movement necessarily. He just needs to use footwork and get off the center line. Work some angles. That would be far more effective. Hopefully the guy gets another UFC fight. Dana said they got FOTN bonus and Dana liked the toughness. So it looks like he may get another fight.
The best thing that’s going to come out of this for Chris, is that he’s going to have a bunch of top level people surrounding him and showing him how to move his head and get some high-level training. He still very young with his durability and the skill he already has he could be great in a couple of years with the right people around him.
That 75k probably makes the brain damage feel a little better too. But yeah you can’t teach heart, and I felt like his corner just didn’t really know what to tell him in between rounds. Get him in a real good mma gym and he could be a serious prospect on the rise.
After taking such a beating, i think a few years might be too late. Tony was never the same after the Gaethje fight, taking a record breaking beating is just terrible for your future prospects. See moraes and in the future most likely Calvin kattar too.
O’ Malley should have a real fight. The UFC is clearly trying hard to make him a new superstar that can sell PPV after Connor retire. Mouthino has a great heart, but he crearly was not prepare for the UFC or Sean O’Malley. Shame of this fight, this look like a gym war sparring between the best guy of the gym and the new guy. The UFC knew the result of the fight even before it start. Stop using fighter that are not in your level just for look good and create a PPV superstar.

But way too much experience there. I think Vera rematch makes the most sense.
Theres nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed of from either of these fighters. O'Malley displayed high level skill and Kris showed crazy toughness with a granite chin and probably gained a huge following he didn't have before. I enjoyed this fight, Sean is one of my favorite fights to watch, I enjoy his mentality, drive, and technique. But kris can take some heat, so I’m going to try and start watching some more of him as well, I think he can really move up if he gets everything together.

I think Yan, Sandhagen or Font are the only people in the top 10 that give him any real problem and they’re all actually in the top 5. O’Malley definitely belongs in the top 10. I’d personally like to see him fight Sandhagen next. They’re built very similar. It would be interesting to see O’’Malley in there with someone the same size and height as him. That’s what I noticed watching his fights before, he doesn’t move his head. I knew he was about to get picked apart and battered because of it, and that was an accurate assessment.
Yeah dude. Kid has grit and heart. But yeah he definitely need movement. Not even head movement necessarily. He just needs to use footwork and get off the center line. Work some angles. That would be far more effective. Hopefully the guy gets another UFC fight. Dana said they got FOTN bonus and Dana liked the toughness. So it looks like he may get another fight.

He started moving his head earlier in the last round I think, it was rough but I think he slipped at least 1 or 2 shots.
The best thing that’s going to come out of this for Chris, is that he’s going to have a bunch of top level people surrounding him and showing him how to move his head and get some high-level training. He still very young with his durability and the skill he already has he could be great in a couple of years with the right people around him.
That 75k probably makes the brain damage feel a little better too. But yeah you can’t teach heart, and I felt like his corner just didn’t really know what to tell him in between rounds. Get him in a real good mma gym and he could be a serious prospect on the rise.

That kid, Moutinho, was like watching a Rocky movie. He just kept coming, no matter how hard O'Malley hit him.... Fair played to O'Malley, he kept to his game plan and executed a brilliant display but still, major salute to Moutinho, the kid is all heart....

O' Malley gets absolutely crushed by anybody in the top 10 and it's not even close. This kid had him in such vulnerable positions, but he just didn't know what to do with him. I watched him let go of 2 Thai clinches with O'Malley against the cage because he just had no idea how to work from that position. I don't see a good fight for him in the top 10 at all. Cruz? Maybe. But way too much experience there. I think Vera rematch makes the most sense.

I enjoyed this fight, Sean is one of my favorite fights to watch, I enjoy his mentality, drive, and technique. But kris can take some heat, so I’m going to try and start watching some more of him as well, I think he can really move up if he gets everything together.

I think Yan, Sandhagen or Font are the only people in the top 10 that give him any real problem and they’re all actually in the top 5. O’Malley definitely belongs in the top 10. I’d personally like to see him fight Sandhagen next. They’re built very similar. It would be interesting to see O’’Malley in there with someone the same size and height as him. All of this is just my opinion of course.
