This guy and I at work recently formed
an intense attraction to each other to the point where I’m always thinking of him, and the tension between us is PALPABLE. But he told me yesterday - when I offered to do something outside of work - that he has a girlfriend. So I’m in this disposition where I have to honor boundaries (workplace romance, his having a gf, etc.) while struggling to contain this passionate energy. Something helpful I’ve been doing is transmuting (or at least attempting to transmute) that energy through a piano piece I’ve been practicing called Orgia, which I think is quite fitting to the Capricorn stellium rn lol

Great story, the true passion of Venus ascends the profane to the sacred. This is a “a Higher Love” an admiration for something beyond our physical or mental grasp.

Great talk Acyuta. Good points about "politics," fake virtue, and hypocrisy. It can be frustrating when those in Astro become political and lose their objectivity. At any rate, I never see you do this, and you're more of an astro-theologist or astro-philosopher than an astrologer.

I found looking at the Trucker's "freedom" convoys blockade of Parliament Hill, bridges, and roadways in Canada through the lens of Pluto and Mars and Venus in Capricorn, and Uranus in Taurus' desire for the freedom to get what we want in opposition to law and order Saturn, a fascinating test case of how Venus' call for us to exercise loving kindness and consideration of other people's needs can temper Pluto's, Uranus', and Mars less harmonious aspects and help us peacefully resolve disputes.
What a beautiful depiction describing the nature of love and war...something we are all attracted to, yet resist!
I was looking out at venus this morning around 630 a.m. this morning I thought it looked like two planets together. Is that because mars is near?? I took cell phone pics but didn't do justice. I've been looking at venus every morning since she became morning star. So to see what looked like two planets conjoined was amazing.
I have been admiring her, also.
Lovely. I thought I was seeing a faint red color glow (much smaller), but separate, which I thought might be Mars. I don't know.
February 27th there will be a sliver of a crescent moon with Venus in all her brilliance and Mars, too.
Probably early mornings leading up to and beyond the 27th. But on that morning, I am hoping for clear skies
Hillman's depiction of war reminded of the movie The Thin Red Line with Sean Penn, Travolta, Cusack, Harrelson, Clooney, etc. There are a number of scenes of incredible beauty along with quoting the Bhagavad Gita.

Regarding Venus and Mars, I got the urge to pick up one of my Stephen King books that I purchased awhile ago but never read. As I read the inside jacket to refresh my memory on what it was about, I was blown away to read "This spectacularly riveting novel is part war story, part love letter etc, etc". Lol!
I think with Mars chasing Venus it does legitimize Valentine's Day,the lovers Day

My Mars is in Venus’ sign of Libra! For a number of years, my sex life was edgy, dark and exquisitely beautiful. I love the shadow exercise. I've learned how important it is to be in touch with that which we are reluctant to acknowledge in ourselves. The shadows remind me of Saturn, really tough but somehow necessary for our growth. As far as Venus and Mars goes, well, I'm more scared of Mars than Saturn! He may be doing this dance with Venus but their love affair never lasts yet seems never-ending. Isn't it Mars' job to be irksome? Doesn't he realize that, "All you need is love?".......

I love this. I was already feeling this strangely harmonious blend of these two energies within me…like a beautiful energetic acceptance that they must coexist. There is this energetic sensational understanding that this IS what unconditional love is. The harmonic blend of opposites…dark/light, feminine/masculine, yin/yang, love/war. I seem to be in an almost fated state of reflecting on how this plays out within my relationship dynamics, the collective and world events and within me.

i think the allure of weapons is mostly around unprocessed wounds but the wounds have to be honored too. i have venus and mars out of bounds and pluto conjunct my ascendant so as a military veteran and therapist my only way has been to look at my inner war and stop looking at your war :)

The way that we have turned this day, which seems to originate from about three possibilities, into a bastardized, commodified, transactional day for something which should be none of those things is gross. Yes. But interestingly, i think in some ways, it can serve as a reminder or something upon which to reflect regardless of ones' coupled status for those inclined to be more mindful about it. The issue of course being not many people are mindful in this regard as social constructs have very much adulterated 'love'. But that is a different nuanced conversation i won't be dropping here ha ha I do love how the Lovers (Mars and Venus) will be 'dancing' until March. Interesting timing. ps: i'd buy an 'at any rate' tshirt
Yesterday they were both opposing my Mars in Cancer and today they are both conjuncting my Saturn in Cap and between yesterday they both semi-sextiled my Sun in Sag! I'm enjoying this!

This is a spot-on exploration. These two planets ARE conjunct in my natal chart as well, at 19- and 21-degrees Capricorn. Additionally, they meet up on my natal Saturn (14'). I also have Sun in Aquarius opposite my full Moon in Leo (which is conjunct my Uranus). Whew! Listening to this on headphones enjoying a late-night cigar, noticing the shadows the bare apple tree in my back yard throws onto the fresh snow, as Orion sinks behind the trees towards the horizon....
My opinion is full moon in Leo the Heart... Equals expression as Valentine's Day... Even though the date is set. As Feb.. 14, and the actual full moon date would be close to said date...much like Xmas Dec 25 is the return of light. .

Knowing that you're a Hare Krsna devotee, this sounds more making sense to me in understanding how to become whole as a soul and from there practicing sadhana bhakti in proper way. As a new comer on Bhakti path, I sometimes wonder why other practitioners often put emphasis on thinking that our shadow or darkness should be eliminated by more rules, which implies morality, and it feels to me so rigid, like going to a confession room in the church, receiving prescription to rectify sins. Perhaps it works, but what I hear from your talk here, there's a gentle way of embracing our darkness, and it's even better because it brings humility.
Krishna is dark like a monsoon and sports by dancing on demons heads...I mean...let's be real, right?!
