Actually, female archers in the real world would wear as little clothing as possible to make them light weight and mobile to be able to outrun the people with armor. This includes male archers as well. So... In that instance, as little armor as possible makes sense. On the other hand...

It's funny how some people claim the goddesses are over sexualized but when you look at original paintings some of them don't even have clothes.

Almost every Greek gods depicted in statues are naked for the whole public. Also, I never heard them complain

Big difference between being sexualized and simply being nude - you have to place it in context. Michelangelo painted nudes all across the Sistine chapel. Do you think he was fapping off to them? People are simply more shy about displaying the naked forme than they used to be, which gives it this sexual aura (which smite is clearly feeding upon).
The same way the gods speak english for the audience of a modern, western society, they ideally should also be better clad for the audience of a modern, western society. But I guess it doesn't matter much either way.
Sooo yeah, you have a bow against a wolf and you start from a decent distance, what is your best tactic? Lets run into melee range, so you can push it away with with your spell, so you can shoot your bow from a distance... wow such strategy

As much as i love to watch these cinematic trailers, i wish there were more gamplay trailers so i could actually see if the game is as good as people say because a good example for was when WOW was coming out with all the hype and epic trailers i thought it was going to be an epic game but was a dissapointer for me because i was expecting something different.
search for Drybear on youtube he is the community manager for smite and plays the shit out of this game, then there is the "know your enemy" series on the hi-rez channel which takes a god and explains everything about them and how to use/fight against them all of which is in game friend. also check out smite top 5 plays.
Or...and this is a crazy idea...you could just see for yourself, since the game is free-to-play.

They are meant to build hype for the game, nobody honestly believes this to be actual gameplay, unless they are a tard or a little kid. Warcraft has been doing this for years, as have DoTA and LoL. It's just meant to grab people's attention for the game.

I usually wait till there's "gameplay" something (trailer or not) to come out to start judging a game. Trailers are meant to build hype. Just like movie trailers. You don't see a movie trailer giving you the full story of the movie right? Same for game trailers. They're there to build the tension for it, whether true or not, it's up to us to believe, or wait.

I just realised that Ymir in this trailer is a blue organic giant with chunks of ice stuck onto him. Also, Guan Yu looks really pale. Isn't his face supposed to have a red tint?
the trailer has some serious issues whit the way they potrayed the gods from the game, ymir can be explained since his model in the game is extremely old ( im sure once he get hi´s remodel he´ll look more organic ), guan yu face is really different, more asian in this cinematic than in the game, fenrir´s face is way to different from the game, looking like it has some sort of mane while the game´s fenrir head is big and more canine, neith has some issues but mostly because of old model.

i am dissapointed, as much as i love smite, and i really love playing smite, this cinematic was pretty boring, and i really liked how pretty the visual effects where, but it wasn't very fun to watch, i don't like league of legends as much as smite, but even I can say that their cinematics are much more exciting to watch, even if i don't like the game as much. it's not that i don't like the cinematic that much, it's just i'm dissapointed at it, and i feel they could've done a lot better, they have plenty of money as it's one of the most popular pc games, but I guess it doesn't matter, i still love playing the game.

Jesus should be in this game, normal attack would be a force push kind of move/kinetic punch that would be small hand movments, ability 1 would be divine hand: Jesus would hold out his hand while a beam of light would shoot out just once(Dps), 2nd ability would be water walk: Jesus increases his moment speed for 100% for 3 seconds while also leaving in his trail water trail that slows enemy movements by 20% while in it. (Escape) 3rd ability would be Divide the Sea: Jesus chooses an AoE area within 30 yards, the circle is about 7 years wide, water comes up, seperates, and moves enemy's out of the AoE area while also granting allies in the AoE 25% armor for 6 seconds. His ultimate would be Divine Intervention: Jesus can select an AoE circle of 15 yards wide, a thick blood coats the ground trapping all enemies within and draining their health for 17% for each enemy caught within. While also divine lights shine down and dispurse all of the health stolen to allies within the AoE. Jesus also is healed for 2% of his total life whenever an ability is used and is also granted 20% movement speed for 4 seconds whenever a healing potion is used.

Neith and Fenrir, although Neith and Ashe are quite similar. Both are archers and their ult's are almost identical in that their both global projectile's that damage and stun. Neith's ult is kinda like cait's and ashe's combined, because it locks on and can be blocked by an ally. If you haven't played Smite yet I definitely recommend it. It completely replaced league for me for a long time, although League is still a great game and I still play it every once in a while
