tips for sewing: u can also use tissue paper to make it a little easier to cut (non curled up paper) and pin but if it works for u as far as tracing the pattern pieces on fabric, obviously do what works best for u. in the future, it's best to leave a quarter inch seam allowance around the edge of ur pattern pieces (or when u trace them down on fabric) meaning, draw and outline around ur pattern pieces so the size of the project ur sewing, will be the size u plan it out to be rather than being (sometimes, awkwardly) smaller than what u intended.
and if ur a beginner/inexperienced sewer, please be careful when threading the needle and sewing. if for any reason there's ever a hitch or a snag while working with the sewing machine PLEASE STOP the needles CAN break and will snap sharp bits off and sending them flying which could be dangerous. we used to have a really old/not well kept sewing machine that would bunch up thread a lot and if not stopped soon enough, it would snap needles. OH AND KEEP UR FINGIES AWAY FROM THE NEEDLE WHEN IT'S MOVING (i'll spare details but my mother has injured herself before)
