Something I wish the game developers would add in would be a time loop sort of thing where there’s a chance that your future self would visit you and that then they tell you to do something to maintain the timeline, sort of like in doctor who he sometimes does that(no it doesn’t happen in Bttf).

the thing is with that though if your future self would come and visit you, you would have to do the exact same thing your future self did later in the game leading up to the events when they visited you in the past but you could've avoided the mistakes your future self did if your future self visited you, so a future version of you wouldn't ever exist coming back in time to see you.

So you get the all the blueprints in free roam. How you get the remote control is during the epilogue for Edward is one of the blueprints around the area of the lab

One of the blueprints is the remote control itself. It says 4 blueprints but if you already got the fragment checker during the main game that would be the last bluprint

In free roam, Edward will have a question mark in like 2016. That's an epilogue quest for Edward. When he ask you to search for 4 blueprints they should be outside around the lab. One of the blueprints is the remote control
