The thing is... I seem to remember two things about that. 1: there was at least a week break or longer between this and the next episode. 2: There was no "Next time on Bakugan" on its initial release. It just went right to the credits.
Ikr it's way better than the new version this one hits different they even changed the main characters the only one that remains is the actual main character dan
Masquerade played this masterfully 1. Notice how he played on his own gate cards, knowing Dan would always charge head first into enemy territory. With no gate card advantage, Dan would have to use up his ability cards on "pawns" 2. He sacrificed Lazerman to set Saurus up for Hydranoid to kill and gain the power from it. It also negated any Triple Battle shenanigans since it was stuck Like chess he was willing to sacrifice the pawns to make sure Hydranoid had all the advantages(more ability cards)
For then it would have been wiser to use D Strike and Fusion Ability D Strike Attack. Not the caracter card. Alone D Strike made him only 50G lower than Hydronoid. A Fusion ability card would have given 200G more and **** out the sh** out of hydranoid
I love how Shun was literally prepared to kick Masquerade’s ass for that lol This series would be much different if people just decked each other rather than play a game
Masquerade played this match beautifully. He set Dan up from the start. Notice that Masquerade was willing to sacrifice material advantages (Bakugan/Gate Cards) for strategic advantage (Ability Cards). He did not use any Ability Card before he brought Dual Hydranoid. He opened with Wormquake on an Energy Merge Gate Card, forcing Dan's Griffin to use Fire Tornado. Then, he used Laserman on Joker's Wild, quickly defeating Griffin. The centerpiece of Masquerade's gamble was the Quicksand Freeze Gate Card, which trapped Saurus after it defeated Laserman. With Saurus trapped, Masquerade could activate Dual Hydranoid's Dual Gazer, which would let it use two attacks, firstly on Saurus, then on Delta Dragonoid. It defeats Saurus, and forces Delta Dragonoid to respond with another Ability lest it be defeated also. However, since rounds end when a Bakugan is defeated (more than one can be defeated in a round, but one is sufficient to end the round), the Ability used, Wall Burst, is rendered useless. Dan ultimately wasted that card. Masquerade used all of his Gate Cards and one Ability Card, while Dan had already used two Ability Cards. The final round was set between Dual Hydranoid and Delta Dragonoid. Dan activated Delta Dragonoid's Delta Strike and Character Gate Card, doubling his immese power, but that was Masquerade's trap. He retaliated by activating both Ability and Fusion Ability: Darkus Gazer and Destruction Impact, nullifying the Gate Card. Dual Hydranoid won with a 30Gs advantage. Masquerade won because he knew he couldn't overpower Pyrus' firepower and used the Darkus Attribute's misdirection and subterfuge to his advantage. Dan lost because he didn't use Pyrus' firepower to the maximum. Had he used Delta Strike instead of Wall Burst during the penultimate round, he might've won, because Delta Strike's Ability carries on until the end of the entire match, opening up a possibility for a Fusion Ability, which Dual Hydranoid couldn't possibly overpower. Ignore the anime drama such as the brawl between Dual Hydranoid and Delta Dragonoid in the penultimate round; in reality, Masquerade would directly go for the Dual Gazer as Delta Dragonoid had the advantage. Also ignore Dual Hydranoid's head regrowing with the HSP decrease. The round was already over with Saurus defeated. The match goes like this: 1st Round. 380Gs Wormquake vs 390Gs Griffin. Energy Merge Gate Card is activated by Wormquake. 480Gs Wormquake vs 290Gs Griffin. Fire Tornado Ability Card is activated by Griffin. 380Gs Wormquake vs 390Gs Griffin. Griffin wins the round. Dual Hydranoid defeats Saurus with one of its two Dual Gazer shots. Wall Burst Ability Card is activated by Delta Dragonoid, -100Gs on Dual Hydranoid. 430Gs Dual Hydranoid vs 520Gs Delta Dragonoid. Match ends because Saurus is defeated. Dual Hydranoid wins the round. Masquerade: 1 Bakugan, 0 Gate Card, 2 Ability Cards. Dan: 1 Bakugan, 2 Gate Cards, 1 Ability Card. Final round. 480Gs Dual Hydranoid vs 450Gs Delta Dragonoid. Delta Strike Ability Card and Delta Delta Dragonoid Character Gate Card (x2 power increase) are activated by Delta Dragonoid, increasing power to 1300Gs. 480Gs Dual Hydranoid vs 1300Gs Delta Dragonoid. Masquerade went full out sadist here. He watched Dan and Drago's shock and disbelief and just laughed at it. Imagine if one of the blast Hydranoid dealt to Drago left him a physical scar.
The most sad thing about this episode was the fact that Dan commited suicide by jumping to the Doom Dimension's portal on his mother's birthday (as this battle takes place on her birthday, the first scene is Dan buying a keychain for her cellphone) to stay with Drago until the end as they didn't know the Six Soldiers were there and have the power to release them from the Doom Dimension.
In other words while he was doing this to them;He felt very positive for having no empathy towards them while he was having great joy with his victories against the Brawlers!!
As child, when I watched this episode for the first time I did cheer for Dan. Now that I'm grown up,know the truth about Masquerade and also changed some points of view about characters I'm like "yes bitc*,slay him, show you're the best of the season 1."😂😂
It would've been better if Reaper got a redemption arc against Hydranoid at the end and returned, evolved and more powerful. Naga and Reaper vs Drago and Hydranoid. They really did Reaper dirty
Yeah,it was it a shocking plot twist that after seeing Drago powering up to make an Overkill,a difference so big that if this was it Season 2,it would mean that Dan just won Dual Hydranoid's ownership,it just took one card for Masquerade to turn the tables and send Drago to the Doom Dimension.
I remember in school like in 4th grade if someone had the Red Upgraded Dragonoid or the DarkDoubleDragon from Masquerade the Person was a badass and treated like a God 😂
I was in grade 4 when bakugan season 1 was hot and I had all shit bakugan and then one day I lucked out and found a aquas evolved drago 450G’s with a character card and delta drangonoid card, spent my whole allowance on it, but I ruled the playground 😂
Maybe is like Yu-Gi-Oh! with the Quick play spell card in the sense that Dan wasn't allow to activate Delta Dragonoid's Ability Card but was capable of activate a Defensive Ability...or maybe Dan was an idiot like always and didn't thought about playing D Strike at that moment.

It's possible that the HSP is the points they gain in battle that latter gets added to the points that determinates your position in the World Ranking.
He should have attacked before Masquarade activated his fusion ability and such his gate card would not have been nullified seconds before Masquarades fusion card could have been activated.
It possible that only Command Cards like Joker's Wild or Mine Ghost can be activate after or before declaring an attack while Character or Element Cards can only be activate before declaring an attack. In the Real Life and Videogame, all Gate Cards,Character (Gold),Element (Silver) or Command Card (Bronze) activates at the start of the battle
The reason why Masquerade said there was no return for Bakugan or Humans falling into the Doom Dimension is because he is or was under strict orders from his boss to not help anybody out of getting back out of there!! But in later episodes we see him switching sides and thus helping Dan get out of there because the Doom Dimension is also apart of Vestroia!!
Well I got to also say that while he was working for Naga;He could almost care less of what the Brawlers were trying to prove to him that what he was doing was wrong while working for Nagas Side!!
No, he couldn't. In this series, brawlers were limited to only being able to use three gate cards, ability cards, and Bakugan. At that point, Dan had already used up all three of his ability cards and wasn't allowed to use another for another power up. With his gate card negated, Drago didn't have the power to take on Hydranoid.
@@blairfan8360 He's talking about the penultimate round. Dan had two abilities going into that round, so he could have used D Strike Attack instead of Wall Burst to gain the power advantage. Of course I can't say that Dan misplayed here since he was unaware that Dual Hydranoid could regenerate a head at the cost of 300 HSP and removing an ability card from the game (which includes ones that have already been used from what it seems). Edit: It's also possible that a won gate card could have been sacrificed, and since HSP is gained by winning gate cards that could also explain the HSP decrease. Of course we don't know if either a gate card or ability card was sacrificed since we only see the card backing. Edit 2: If there is a gate card Masquarade could have sacrificed (if that WAS the cost of Dual Hydranoid's regen), it could likely be Joker's Wild since it just so happened to be worth 300 HSP.
Masquerade fooled Dan since the start. He didn't throw abilities until Hydranoid was used, Dan felt for his tricks. Drago was outmatched when Character Card was used. But I never understood what did Masquerade do with Hydranoid's head thing. Was that some sort of ability? Also how came he survived the game loss in that round but was a tie? Also pay attention at Joker's Wild, Masquerade could beat anyone with it unless an ability would counter it.
Masquerade is a servant of Master Naga. When she switched sides, Druman accused Masquerade of being a traitor. Masquerade is the Silent Naga-influenced version of Alice. The spell was broken when she dropped the mask and saw the truth. Alice is a good brawlers. The only difference between Masquerade and Alice is that one is a sadistic Naga servant.
Duel hydranoid: 2 HEADS ARE BETTER THAN 1 Head 2: BUT 3 IS A CROWD Dragonoid: one works for me so that doesn't leave much room for you *literally evolves to alpha hydranoid with 3 heads* You were saying? 😑
+ If someone else had found the Pyrus Dragonoid, Master Naga's enemy would have rotted to the doom dimension in a game where the fate card was turned. Daniel played with snakes in just before the victory of the Silent Naga. lmao did the ancient warriors always look out for Dragonoid?
No, because Masquerades card increases dual hydranoids power level while also having the ability to nullify the gate card. Hydranoid +100. Hydranoid + 100 + no gate card. Hydranoid wins 680 to 650 no matter what
Hear me out the ability card (delta dragonoid) adds 400g The gate card (delta dragonoid character card) doubles dragos G power If he activated the ability card first drago would be up by 850g then follow that up with the character card he would then hit 1700G so when Distribution impact is activated drago would come back to down to 850G which would have won him the match
Remember the character card doubles your initial G power not your base g power so if he took the power boost from ability card first he would have more g power than if he doubled his base g power then added the 400 boost
Even though Masquerade out played him. Dan could've won had he just kept on attacking. If he used meteor dragon instead of wall burst he would have the advantage and Masquerade would be forced to use his fusion ability Dan would still have his fusion card as a backup. So in summary Dan chose the wrong time to play defense
Why didn't Dan use the fusion ability card D Strike Dragonoid Extreme Masquarade already used dual gazer and the fusion ability card as well. Dan only used D Strike Delta Dragonoid. After his gate card was nullified by dual gazer the score was 650 to 680 in favor for Hydronoid. Dan could have used D Strike Dragonoid Extreme and amplifiy Drago's power by 200G extra like in the battle against Skyres. But I guess it was the plot of the show...
@@Andy-dg1pj Because Dan at that point had already used his three ability cards. The first was for Griffon and the last two were for Drago. Masqurade played smarter by holding onto his ability cards for the finale.

Masquerade went full out sadist here. He watched Dan and Drago's shock and disbelief and just laughed at it. Imagine if one of the blast Hydranoid dealt to Drago left him a physical scar.
Dan and Drago did shoot off one of Hydranoid's heads. So he was gonna slip into a sadist mindset for a moment.
That echo is masquerade's voice just made him even more evil... Love it

Ngl this battle made masquerade and hydranoid my favs ever since I first saw it as a kid
10:29 The sheer terror on the brawler’s faces when they see Dan chase after Drago 😢😢😢😢
Well,yeah...I mean, come on,surely they thought that Dan would traspass the portal and not also getting absorb like Drago for losing the combat.
As child, when I watched this episode for the first time I did cheer for Dan. Now that I'm grown up,know the truth about Masquerade and also changed some points of view about characters I'm like "yes bitc*,slay him, show you're the best of the season 1."😂😂

i was so shocked to see him losing like this when i was a child, damn. first season could be much better, but it was already so good.
It would've been better if Reaper got a redemption arc against Hydranoid at the end and returned, evolved and more powerful. Naga and Reaper vs Drago and Hydranoid. They really did Reaper dirty
pepega

I'm sorry but why does he have an "auto win button" as a gate card, seems a bit op. If he'd saved it for drago then Dan would have insta lost.

3 ability card limit. Mascarade tactic is perfect.

Masquarade, my fav villain...
I still have no clue what HSP stood for nor how it revived Hydranoid
IKR? This brawl is the only reason I know it exists.
Does anyone know where I can find the roaring sound Hydranoid makes at 5:12?
Most interesting is that you can't say that Dan lost because he made some mistake, Masquarade just played it perfect tacticly.
3:26 main attraction 8:54 4:51 but how 5:30 bring the house down..
Well I got to also say that while he was working for Naga;He could almost care less of what the Brawlers were trying to prove to him that what he was doing was wrong while working for Nagas Side!!
I feel as if Dan had just used d strike attack when masquerade used dual gazer he could have won right there
Edited: fyi I could be wrong about that
No, he couldn't.
Okay, WOW, that Joker's Wild card was some BS lol
Masquerade fooled Dan since the start. He didn't throw abilities until Hydranoid was used, Dan felt for his tricks. Drago was outmatched when Character Card was used. But I never understood what did Masquerade do with Hydranoid's head thing. Was that some sort of ability? Also how came he survived the game loss in that round but was a tie? Also pay attention at Joker's Wild, Masquerade could beat anyone with it unless an ability would counter it.
Hydranoid said *"GATLIN GUN"*
2:19 a cheating in other words.

Man i wish i had the dedication masquerade has - i'd be unstoppable!

Up to 3 skill cards can be used.
In Season 1 they can only use 3 Ability Cards and Gate Cards. Dan only carried two Defensive Ability Cards and D Strike for that Duel.
Wow
This is so cool
11:08 get them Sasuke
this is hype
If dan had activated delta dragonoid (ability card) before opening his character card he would have won
No, because Masquerades card increases dual hydranoids power level while also having the ability to nullify the gate card. Hydranoid +100.
Hydranoid + 100 + no gate card. Hydranoid wins 680 to 650 no matter what
Hear me out the ability card (delta dragonoid) adds 400g
The gate card (delta dragonoid character card) doubles dragos G power
If he activated the ability card first drago would be up by 850g then follow that up with the character card he would then hit 1700G so when Distribution impact is activated drago would come back to down to 850G which would have won him the match
@damaalguytan6536 Delta dragonoid ability card adds 200 not 400. The gate card character which doubles power level was the reason for the +400
Remember the character card doubles your initial G power not your base g power so if he took the power boost from ability card first he would have more g power than if he doubled his base g power then added the 400 boost

Why didn't Dan use the fusion ability card
D Strike Dragonoid Extreme
Masquarade already used dual gazer and the fusion ability card as well.
Dan only used D Strike Delta Dragonoid. After his gate card was nullified by dual gazer the score was 650 to 680 in favor for Hydronoid.
Dan could have used
D Strike Dragonoid Extreme and amplifiy Drago's power by 200G extra like in the battle against Skyres.
But I guess it was the plot of the show...
@@Andy-dg1pj Because Dan at that point had already used his three ability cards. The first was for Griffon and the last two were for Drago. Masqurade played smarter by holding onto his ability cards for the finale.
