😂😂
Yeah people here are saying JEE advanced is hard because of problems. But not all problems are as big as the one shown in video. Real Brilliant are student who will target more Marks
So true
Quite true 👍
There is an additional problem with Indian competitive exams. The wrong options are not randomly added. The professors who set these questions know where the students can go wrong and reach to a different solution. These solutions are added in options. So if your concepts are little shaken you end up giving wrong answers and in some cases collect negative marks. Knowing this, you end up not attempting the questions for which your concepts are not very clear. Tough indeed.
Just like this option. You can wrongly choose an option to be correct even after solving 90% of the problem correctly, if you make a small mistake in your considerations.
I mean any "good" paper setter will use that tactic, it's not only Indian competitive exam exclusive thing, it's done all around the world.
That is done across all exams. Here in persia they do this a lot with physics questions in the konkur.

I cleared JEE Adv in 2016 to get into IIT. Can definitely say maths was a devil, though I was reasonably good at it. The fact that Chinese get to study in a college at a ranking of 15 in the world when the clear an exam equally or less harder than jee but we get to study in a college with 150-200 world ranking is bizzare
Edit: the struggle in India is real
Because ranking is made by western universities. And because of reservation system in India many people fail internal exams inside IITs which reduces their values.
Exactly what i was thinking..... Why
Ranking is also based of funds it is getting, the infrastructure, which lack in indian institutes
IIT delhi's director said that in qs world ranking there are criteria like infrastructure , foriegn faculties hiring and foriegn student's admission. But since IIT are government college so its not all in their hands.
Chinese top universities have their own entrance exams which are much harder than Gaokao which is for everyone. And they enroll students who perform well in math, physics, chem competitions without Gaokao scores. Chinese have dominated the world Olympics in math physics and chem for decades.

I am Korean and graduated university from US. Now I understand why my professor from India always make things difficult 😂. He probably thought “Is she even went to high school??”. I am glad that I can just use R or python. Bye bye math 👋
How many professors are Indians in USA? Like averge out of 10
@@cashmoney2159 it will be depends on school and department. My degree was Bio and research was from school of pharmacy and medical school. I only know few professor from entire departments. My school was biggest size and largest numbers of faculty in the state. But I think it is because all the phd students want high paying job instead of being professor. Just looking at phd students, I think their numbers is highest among of foreigner and also high numbers in professional job. Especially, people from India is concentrated in high paying industries like tech or bank.
India is a place where mathematics geniuses are born😅😆
Hey brother I am also Indian
@@muskankumarixg1573 not really, since people can't think for themselves anymore.
I gave JEE Adv in 2018 and don't even remember attempting this question 🥴. Physics was pretty easy that year, I scored ~100 just from that section
The gaokao question was straightforward for me I guess. Here you are asked to remember the properties and condition of parabolas. So it wont take much time..
I remember that particular JEE Question in which in one of the options actually is a part of the 'general' locus but not a part of the locus, described in the problem. My teacher said that you are asked to solve such a lengthy question and in the end tricked to get a -2.

After seeing so many insensitive and ignorant comments on a video made with so much sensibility, I was compelled to point out that the context of both these exams are QUITE different.
JEE is for people who wants to join a reputed and government institute of technology, implying that the JEE aspirants are smaller group of students with an almost common aim.
As for Gaokao, my knowledge is limited by the UA-cam video which I have seen a month ago, so correct me if I am wrong. It is given by almost all Chinese students graduating from high school, obviously for a reputed institute, but not just for technological institute. It is an exam for admission in any standard university and for any standard stream (I guess you can choose subjects for exams accordingly)
Another important difference is that JEE is held in two parts, mains and advanced, for 3 hours each with a gap of several days (even months). Gaokao is held continuously for 2 (maybe 3) days with students giving exams almost 10 hours each day.
That's really amazing, being proud of the fact that JEE advanced got tougher question. But please think of the context(and hard work of those students) before commenting something derogatory about gaokao.
Yeah that is what. JEE and Gaokao are very different. Also by seeing one such tough question we can't say it's the toughest exam since usually such questions are meant to be skipped.
They act like it’s a competition…
In their pride they forget that maybe exams for students who are just out of high school shouldn't be this difficult.
I'm watching this video after more than a year after it got uploaded, so, all those comments by immature children are hidden. I'm lucky because i don't have to actually read those cringy comments. Also, to all the Indians, why don't you see that our best universities aren't even in top 150 world's best universities, but, there are 2 chinese universities in the top 25 alone. So, don't be proud, we have to work very hard to catch upto them, and eventually developed countries.
@@user-pv9bm3pj9i While I agree with your initial point, as far as I know, the world rankings depend on the kind of Universities, IIT's are only Engineering Institutes, so the number of disciplines they can publish papers or file patents is less. While in an University there are umpteen disciplines of diverse subjects from Arts to all Sciences including Medical degrees. So they are two different things. You can say MIT is the best because inspite of having limited disciplines like IIT's it still ranks so much higher giving a lot more output.
On the other hand, your statement could be made against a lot of Universities of India, which don't stand a chance against any other University of the other Economically Powerful countries and also the limited discipline offering IIT's.
Your voice and your way to explain the questions, touch my feelings😍
Here You can get the idea which exam is tough or productive by actually noticing the engineering structures of respective countries

Good day Ma'am, I have some Questions about Multivariate Polynomials... It might seems nothing for you... But to me, it's difficult to understand the part of the degree of Multivariate Polynomials... Why we add the power of different variables?.... If same variables means, it's ok... Like, a²a = axaxa = a³ --> deg is 3 (or) x³x² = x⁵ ---> deg is 5... If different variables means, it seems odd... Like, a³b⁵... how can I add the power and finalize the degree value as 8... The problem is adding the power of multivariables and concluded as the degree... In the first examples, a³ and x⁵ have some values and some meanings... In the second type, I need the meaning of that method.. In mathematics, Every sums have meanings and purposes... I'm searching for those... Why we add the power of different variables and say the degree as added powers?... What is the use or purpose of it?.... In text books, Algebra chapter seems like solving some maths not seem as real life problem... I can't think or visualise it's application or purpose of it... kindly tell us...
Both Very Tough Toby, Before taking either I would want coaching from you !!
I feel like tough exams are the reason that many people don't like interesting subjects such as maths physics etc
Yes 😓😓
Agree
Or even just a poor fit of teaching and learning styles. If you're confident about the topic, exams are far less intimidating.
