What always irks me about these “jeopardy winning streaks” is that prior to 2003 a contestant was only allowed to win five consecutive shows, then they were booted off and three new contestants would come back. Who knows what kind of winning streaks there could have been back then.
They should try to bring them back to continue the streak. That would have been interesting to see.
@@DarkWater4Eva
If they do, Brad Rutter should be up first.
Also bring back the amount of money one win 75k the rest went to charity
C’est la vie.
new limit 100
RIP Alex Trebek. Thank you for making Jeopardy amazing. Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer will be two of my favorites of all time
Same
Alex Trebek was a regular at Barsac Brasserie on Lankershim Blvd. I waited on his family frequently.
Rest in peace Alex trebek
now amy schneider, mattea roach, and cris pannulo would flip this list on its head
James, Matt and Ken are all Jeopardy! legends in my opinion.
What about Julia & Austin?
But not brad 😂
@@GreenGuyGriff Brad is not one of the 10
And now Amy Schneider
@@laustcawz2089 They didn't set any records though.
Ken= Longest winning streak, most money won in regular season.
James= Most money won in a single game.
Brad= Most money won over All.
Amy stops at 40, but holy hell what a run
Ken Jennings was Jeopardy's Joe DiMaggio. That streak may never be touched.
I had a ball watching Matt Amodio during his run on Jeopardy!!!!
Alex..........it still hurts that you're gone 😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔💔
My wife and I loved watching Matt’s run. Was like watching a sports team you like pursue a championship. His expressions and smile were infectious, and I’m looking forward to see him come back in champion events.
Wanted to see Matt get close to Ken, but a 38 game win streak is still pretty good.
we want to see a 36 game win streak
Ken jennings is my favorite jeopardy champion because he won 74 games.
Watching Matt win all those games was amazing. I hope he wins next year’s tournament of champions.
I'd love to see a rematch between him and Jonathan Fisher in the finals, so Matt can get his revenge like James Holzhauer did against Emma Boettcher in his TOC.
I’d love to see that as well.
Matt has competition now.
Forget who he lost to I want to see Matt go up against Amy in the TOC that would be epic and is probably going to happen!!!!
@@sportssolid2425 Matt, Jonathan and Amy against each other would be a good episode.
We miss you Alex Trebek; gone, but not forgotten
Actually, James Holzhauer finished in 2nd place in the Greatest of All Time. Brad Rutter finished in 3rd place.
Update: Amy Schneider second longest winning streak 40 days.
My favorite was James Holzhauer. He placed second in the GOAT tournament. He won 1 match Ken Jennings won 3 and the tournament. Brad Rutter won no matches in that tournament
Brad was awfully sloppy for someone who had beaten Ken in 3 other tournaments (Ultimate TOC, Battle of the Decades, All-Star Games).
Now; Amy, Mattea, Cris, and Ryan will be on this list.
Mattea is so likeable. Last night game was crazy. Trailing the whole game by a big margin and doubling up and winning Final Jeopardy was insane.
Love Matt.Then James and Ken
3:06, Seth risked $5 on the final Jeopardy! 😮
James was my favorite
Austin Rogers was my favorite, he was fantastic
IMO, he was the most annoying contestant of all time. I was so glad when he lost.
You may want to do an updated list pretty soon. Amy Schneider now has the second-most wins in "Jeopardy!" history. As of today's writing, she now has 40 wins.
Turns out you jinxed her at 40.... Thank you :]
Would need to add mattea roach to the list whenever she gets defeated as well.
And Shneider also will go down as the ugliest "woman" in jeopardy history.
@@IanPunter 🤷🏻♂️
amy loss was shocking
I thought Matt was gonna be the one to get around 70 games after he got passed James 😢
There are two errors in the comments about James Holzhauer--he finished second in the Greatest of All Time tournament, not third, and his greatest one-day total was $131,127, not "one hundred thirty-one thousand, one hundred twenty-seven thousand dollars." It should have been noted that Holzhauer not only had the greatest one-day total, he had the top 16 one-day totals (Matt Amodeo broke into that list, but Holzhauer still has the top 12).
James is the only ultra-champion to win Tournament of Champions as of the 2021 TOC (if may be changed if Matt A will win 30th TOC by next year) and the only champion to win more than $100,000 in a single game six times.
@@ajsy1090
Six times? He’s the only one to break the $100,000 mark even ONCE, let alone six times.
@@ajsy1090 Buzzy Cohen won the 2017 ToC
@@BlueManIan Buzzy only won 9 games during his regular game but he won 2017 TOC finals in an epic come from behind win.
@@BlueManIan ultra champions are champions who won 10 or more games
Matt Amodio was my favorite. Hate that he lost to that actor.
Yeah, but Matt Amodio was insane tho.
I think the guy who beat him is a legit competatier
@@benpezzot8805 true
@@AnthonyMarioGamer64_YT But insane in a fun way.
@@RhaegarTargaryen1st Yeah, true 👍
Lets not forget Amodio's streak spanned episodes hosted by Robin Roberts, LeVar Burton, David Faber, Joe Buck, Mike Richards and Mayim Bialik, which is obscene.
ken
Matt the man Amodio !!!
I remember that one contestant who looks a lot like Troy Gentile had a really high winning streak!
Which one?
I hope I have the same energy as Matt and Austin if I ever compete on Jeopardy.
Ken Jennings is definitely my fav
_Would be a shame if someone gets a losing streak._
Is that even possible I thought once you lost..... Well I guess you can still try again but still like one Loss usually you don't see them again either for a while or ever
But you know that when you lose on Jeopardy…… AH! I see what you did there….
@@mlggamer5296 Unless they were invited back due to a show mishap, or in a teen tournament, where you can lose they, but advance as a wild card, then lose again, they can't come back for I believe at least 10 years, and only of they don't win. So not likely will remember them.
@@brianschaffer9220 yeah definitely those are the exceptions
Hopefully There’s A Greatest Of All Time 2 With James,Matt And Ken!!!
Now you've got to include Amy Schieder in that list. Season 38 has had some impressive contenstnets.
I from Albuquerque
Ken Jennings' LONGEST 74 Day Streak Ended by Nancy Zerg at the End of November and into the 12th and Final Month of 2004 during my 9th Grade Freshmen near end of my First Semester just in time for the Holidays and into 2005.
Amy Schneider and Mattea Roach have entered the chat
James is my favorite Jeopardy Champ. I’m so happy to state that he’s from my hometown of Las Vegas.
Yeah
Same here! James is always going to be my favorite Jeopardy champ as well.
@@NickTheEnlightened yeah
Ken Jennings, AKA, The GOAT.
This list obviously predates Amy Schneider and her 40-win streak.
From Ken Jennings Longest Streak, 2004 College Champion Winner Kerming Flemings, Teen Tournament Winner Michael Braun, Ultimate Tournament of Champions Winner Brad Rutter, and David Madden of the 2004-05 Season.
I was really enjoying Matt's winning streak and I was hoping he'd get within striking distance of Ken's record. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of Ken, but I thought Matt was so awesome too. What would have been cool is that since Ken is slated to start hosting Jeopardy soon, if Matt hadn't lost, he would have been nearing Ken's record while playing a game hosted by Ken himself.
It is more impressive to me to have a 74 game winning streak than to win the the most money.
Ken Jennings is the greatest Jeopardy player ever.
I think James is the better player now as he's better every time we see him, which Ken said as well now, but Ken has the records since he's been on there more, and he did beat James the first time as well. In terms of playing against each other though I don't think anyone could beat James anymore, even Ken said he wouldn't dare go against the James that was playing in the jeopardy masters. He said that James was a much stronger James, and winning all those games against that competition is unbelievable. Matt, Amy, Mattea, and many other tough players. Ken said there's no way anyone could have dominated players of that caliber the way James did. He said James works on jeopardy in his free time lol, which was a joke obviously. That said, Ken is respected and should have the GOAT title. James likely won't go enough there enough to take that title. He doesn't care.
I keep forgetting this guy got 74 wins. Bruh!
And Amy
R.I.P Alex he will be missed in Jeopardy 😢
I Love Matt! Can't wait to see him in ToC!
Great ❤️❤️❤️
Amazing
What I also loved about James what that most of his bets at the end were linked to family. He said in an interview that he wanted to win a certain amount on one day which was also a record at the time. That amount was the numbers were the dates his daughter was born on so what a way to honor his daughter then by using her birthday as a record
We all knew Jennings was number one
Yep, ain’t that obvious. I even knew it would be him, when I discovered this video.
Looks like y'all are gonna need to make updated version!
edit: and another one!
R I p Alex trebek
Matt should be the new host of jeopardy. He has a great television presence
I wonder how long of a streak Brad Rutter could have gone on in his prime.
well apparently matt has been passed up by amy shnider with i think 40 games. but ken still has an insanely commanding lead
These people are just too smart
People were so rude to Chu. It's a game! He was good at it! Get over it, people.
Sunnymoon agreed.
0:28 *Closes tab.*
Literally less than three weeks and this list is already out of date 😂
Ken Jennings James Holzhaur and Matt Amodio are my most favorite of all!
“you have just set a one day winnings record... again.”
Ken Jennings is a killer of trivia. How does someone remember all that information?
Did anybody else think that the screencap was Mike D of the Beastie Boys?
James Holzhauer
These guys are really smart!
Matt Amodio...of course.
Amy Schnider's winning streak ended yesterday with 40 games won and a grand total of $1,382,800.
By the way, Watch Mojo did not forget Amy Schneider; she wasn't a Jeopardy champion when this video was uploaded.
I Loved During The Tournament Of Champions When Austin Rogers Had That Big Smile On His Face In Final Jeopardy
Alex: Why Are You Smiling? Did You Get The Right Answer?
Austin: AHA
Alex: And Did You Bet Enough?
Austin: AHA
LOL HE WAS ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS
my favorites are Austin, Jason, James and Matt Amodio, Brad and Ken
the way this video IMMEDIATELY aged.
James placed 2nd in “Greatest of All Time” NOT 3rd
Yeah, it was like Brad kinda checked out during game play!
Fun fact, Matt amodio went to the highschool that I currently go to
I liked Ken Jennings Arthur, chu and I also like the current champion John Fisher. He's doing pretty good
Alex hated the Forrest Bounce strategy.
All contestants should be able to appeal decisions to an independent judge !!!!
Arther chu and Matt amodio ken Jennings’s
Did this video come out before Amy Schneider
The Forrest bounce gives me Minesweeper vibes.
I actually liked Matt Jackson.
I miss Alex sooo much. It has not been the same since his passing.
ME TOO
Matt became one of my top 10 favourite contestants during his recent run. I absolutely adore him.
Matt Amodio.
what's matt amodio? every person question using what's instead of who is shouldn't have counted
My new favorite is Amy Schneider But I liked Matt.
Farewell, Alex. Thank you for everything. We love you too much.😢
ryan amy mattea and eric (he gets top ten of all time, im spoiled)
Hey @WatchMojo -- you might want to redo James Holzhauer's bit -- she announces his 1-day record win as "One Hundred and Thirty-One Thousand, One Hundred and Twenty-Seven Thousand Dollars... Ummmm what??
Ken Jennings is the all time Jeopardy champion.
Julia collins
BREAKING NEWS: Matt Amodio Loses.
This list didn’t age well. Amy, Mattea, and who knows who else by the time WatchMojo updates it.
You know my favorite one with Ken Jennings when he won 74 games. But he was taken out by Nancy Zerg and game number 75 but basically what I'm saying is some of those games he played were runaways the rest well you know that part. But the bottom line is so now that Ken Jennings has gone from contestant now to hosting Jeopardy I think that is why he made his mark on the game show itself. And now he's about to embark on something that he truly special to him. And I think that this is in tribute and in honor of Alex trebek. And besides that Alex trebek would be proud of Ken jennings. Because he knows what to do and how to do it. But with his 74 game winning streak that was something to behold. He basically took the game show industry and basically said it on its ear.
we need a 99 day champion
Wow, im foreigner and just now this legendary game..
Thank
yes, Jeopardy is legendary, or at least was, the host retired.
@@UltimateGamerCC oh new info,, are this game start aired from 1964?
@@KusumaWijaya 1984 actually, another popular american game show is called The Price is Right, i recommend you check that one out as well.
Okey,, thank..
When Jason was on, I always said that he reminded me of Nicholas Cage. Not because of how he acted but just because they looked alike lol
11:42 OVERLOOKED ERROR
I Love Matt! ❤️
how are champions taxed and how do they have enough wardrobe to last one night vs eighty six days or evenings?
I wonder where Amy Schneider would land on this list
#2, behind only Ken Jennings.
James Holtzhauer also beat The Beast on GSN’s “ The Chase “ before he appeared on “ Jeopardy “.
yep. He dominated on the GSN version.
And now he's joined forces with The Beast on the ABC version!
