    In the rare interviews that Freddie gave, he remarked that he is nothing like the person he is onstage. This really shows in this video.This is the REAL Freddie. My God, how I wish I could have seen him in concert. Watching this did feel a little like spying on him, but I am sure that was not the intention of the person who posted it. A lovely snapshot of the private life of Freddie. Still greatly missed and loved by many,many people.

      I agree. In many interviews the rock stars comment about their songs that they have not heard them for many years I think it is because the musicians are always thinking about their next step and plus they have to play them always on and on in their shows so the original record is not something that they enjoy particularly but in this case I feel more like a nostalgia because Freddy did not have much more plans to do.

      He did drastically change the style of his voice in the early 80’s. It became a lot stronger and he used a lot less falsetto. His voice change coincided with his newer more masculine look. Coincidently when he started getting sicker his voice became weaker and started sounding more like 1970’s Freddie Mercury. Add on to that, he lost his mustache around that time too. His mustache is directly related to his voice. No mustache= gentle, sweet and higher voice. With mustache=strong and projecting but stayed more in his natural range.

    We so often read & hear of Freddie’s “tragic last days.” That they *were* his last, coming as soon as they did & as difficult as they were to endure, physically & emotionally, was certainly terribly sad. However, he was able to spend his final months more or less as he chose, if not in the privacy he’d have wished for his friends, his family, & himself. He passed in the home he loved, surrounded by the people (and cats!) he loved best & who clearly loved him. All in all, as “good” an end as could be had.

      @Adara007 4 роки тому +1

      @@davebain7858 My reference was in relation to seeing Freddie Mercury here whilst *we, the viewers, know that it would be his last Christmas.* We know when he died and therefore that this would be the last time Freddie would celebrate a Christmas with his loved ones. It is thus a bittersweet video from our perspective.
      In regards to Freddie himself, it's impossible to say how he felt at this time about his outlook. What I have read to date including, of course, the book written by his partner then husband, Jim Hutton, certainly does not suggest that Freddie was thinking in terms of any event being his 'last'. It was not until close to his death that Freddie said he wanted all the treatments he'd been undergoing for AIDS ceased, and from then on he relied primarily on diamorphine to manage the physical pain. So, please understand my original comment in terms of being from the perspective of viewers of the video, not of Freddie Mercury.

    • @fernandomanzanares5555
      @fernandomanzanares5555 3 роки тому +1

      @@Adara007 Indeed, according to what Hutton told in his book, Freddie made plans to spend Christmas 1991 at Montreux. He wanted some stuff to be completed by that time. At some point he must have feld so wasted that he gave up on that - and after four and a half years battling the disease, he had every right to pick his time.

Soulmates are not limited to romantic partners, they can be anyone you’ve incarnated with before, including friends, family, and even pets. It does seem Mary and Freddie’s bond was very strong. Freddie couldn't help being gay but I think he wished he could make a life with Mary as her husband and that's the reason he told her at the end, "If things had been different, you would be my wife and all of this would be yours anyway" when she told Freddie the amount he was leaving was too much. You can't turn back the clock, you can't turn back the tide
    Ain't that a shame?
    Ooh, I'd like to go back one time on a roller coaster ride
    When life was just a game
    No use in sitting and thinkin' on what you did
    When you can lay back and enjoy it through your kids
    Sometimes it seems like lately, I just don't know
    Better sit back and go, with the flow

    What's crazy to me is how many people judged him back then. Everyone makes bad decisions at some point in their lives, and we're all one bad decision away from being in a situation like that. Tragic loss
