There is absolutely no substitute for a Mother's love. Princess Diana absolutely loved her sons. She was very hands on with them. She tought them that life beyond the palace doors was very different. She showed them that people went without food and a place to sleep. They loved her very much and the divorce was very hard for the young princess. She died when they were still so young and they still needed their Mother. She died very tragically. Her death was all over the media,the boys were put directly into the media as well. Watching them walk behind their Mother's coffin in front of the entire world was so heartbreaking. The flowers from her sons that adorned her coffin and the card that read Mummy brought me to my knees. I loved Princess Diana and I will never forget the look on the faces of her sons.

She was so gorgeous, graceful, smart, wise, intelligent, well-mannered, polite, gentle & kind...a pleasure to watch & listen to...a sweet soul. Evil killers adulter & adulteress Charles & Camilla (whatever her name is) are not fit to be King & Queen. How dare he tell Diana that he did not love her but just needed children as heirs. Then why did he marry her to make her suffer & go through unnecessary changes! And how dare that witch Camilla pursue to break their beautiful marriage to get what she wanted...what Princess Diana had! He was confused & weak because of both his & Camilla's lustful flesh! They needed Christ's Holy Spirit to help them all stay in the spirit! They were older than Diana and should have known better...to keep their families together! And the world would have honored them as mature adults doing the right thing! They would have been better examples to the world...less divorce, less adultery & fornication! Princess Diana did not deserve that cruelty! What they did to their exes & their children, to family & friends & us in the public eye was evil, selfish, arrogant, proud ... and very hurtful & painful...such cowards! They did what Satan did & does to separate, destroy & kill out of spiteful jealousy & nonsense. They forced poor vulnerable Diana to seek love all in the wrong places! God does not like ugly! Bible says Evil must pay here on Earth & afterlife unless they repent & ask the people they hurt (in this case Diana, William & Harry and the rest of family&friends and the world) for forgiveness! I have no interest whatsoever to acknowledge, watch or follow Charles & his ugly wife! They are going to regret & pay what they did! Princess Di would have been still alive making a better difference in this world had they done things right according to God & Bible!

You can tell how badly William hated being photographed by the way his children are seldom photographed for the first years they were shown to the public through pictures taken by Catherine, now that they are a little older he sometimes has them out in public, but he has done this very gently so they never get overwhelmed. He’s a wonderful parent.

I am so glad that he has/chose Catherine for so many reasons. She comes from a down-to-Earth close knit family, which is now his family. She also is parenting his children in a better why, which I'm sure he likes. William is a hands-on father and has his own tight-knit family!

Reality is millions of people the world over have lost a parent through marriage breakdown, disease , accident , suicide , etc, their lives were and are filled with aching heart, that follow them into childhood. We all loved Diana , cried buckets when she died so young , her children were only 12 and 15 when she left this earth. To claim that somehow a boy/ man brought up with a family that loved him so much, cared for him in his grief , saw to his every whim, showed patience when Harry got into various scandals, drunk in public, stripped naked in Las Vegas hotel room with women present, one who took photos etc. CHARLES BROUGHT UP HIS TWO YOUNG BOYS , WHO IN A TV INTERVIEW ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO , CLAIMED THEY HAD A WONDERFUL FATHER, THEY HAD ALOT OF FUN, AND LOVED HIM VERY MUCH. IF FATHERS ALL OVER THE WORLD CHILD REARING CAME UNDER REVIEW, DO YOU BELIEVE THEY WOULD NOT BE FOUND IMPERFECT.

What is that woman talking about “if Diana had kept calm and just kept walking” she had just stated that cameras were literally up their noses. She probably couldn’t “just walk away” as the paparazzi were literally in the way. I think bravo to the policeman who Rugby tackled the photographer to the floor.I’d like to see her deal with it. It is sad that Harry did not pay attention and understand his part in the family was huge. Together they would support each other and there would be no jealousy. They each had a part to play.
One thing I truly believe is that Charles and Diana were devoted loving parents to William and Harry despite "royal duties"!!! Clearly they got it right as both boys grew into amazing young men with much of their parents better qualities as opposed to the bad qualities.

But, Diana did mention about the mental strain and her thoughts of suicide in that famous interview with the guy with the black hair and glasses...I think his first name was/is Martin something. I watched it, and we did record it back then, but time has worn the tape down to nothing these days. That was so sad when she said, "There were three of us in the marriage, and it was very uncomfortable for me." That was one Hell of a way to live with Rat Bastard husband, Prince Charles while he was "fricking" Camilla all that time. Another thing was that PH and PW were so young then, and they too, were made victims of divorce. Children can carry those scars for a very long time, and may never get over those tragic days of their lives. Then, to make matters worse, their mother is murdered in the auto crash. Diana loved both her sons dearly. She would've guided them both in their own directions. She showed them the other side of life too. But they were both young when she left. Harry was only 12. I don't think Harry coped with that. I feel his love and support system was gone. I feel also that there is loss and rejection and no direction. And as a teenager these things started surfacing. Sometimes people would do anything to draw attention even if it is in a negative way. Unfortunately that won't solve the problem. There is healing for this, but it has to fall into the right hands. It is not a scandal to suffer emotional pain.

I have to think...I lost my Mom when I was just 11 years old, after my Mom died my life was totally turned upside down. No one knew what to do with me. Lost Dad at age 25. We were lower middle class. Somehow, I have survived. I carried on, and still do all these many years later.

I think this was a very good review of the time about all the influences that were exerted on the young princes before and after Diana's death. As a member of the Comonwealth, I have become more than aware that Queen Elizabeth is getting older. Questions about the succession are coming to the fore-front. I have become more and more ambivalent about giving unquestionning support to the British Royal Family over the years. I find it hard not to feel a little bitter that when Charles succeeds to the throne with Camilla, they will have carte blanche, despite having committed adultery and being divorced, whereas others suffered so tragically having to tow the line for the 'Family Firm': King Edward, Mrs. Simpson, Princess Margaret, Princess Anne, Fergie, et al, even the Queen herself felt pressure when the Queen Mother was not too pleased in her choice of Prince Phillip, a 'Hun'! Prince Harry's current life choices seem to tragically shadow his own Great Uncle's almost 100 years ago now. It is the hope that William and Kate will bring a sense of stability to the Monarchy, just like King William and Queen Mary did in centuries gone by. This is not some black and white 'contest' where we may be proven right or wrong. We all need to become very well informed more about history: WW1 & treaties, Chamberlain's mis-placed attempts to appease Hitler, Edward and Wallis's flirtations with Hitler and the plot to over-throw the Monarchy should Hitler have won WW2, the abdication and King George's terrible struggle to take over royal duties, which included staying in London during WW2 while Germany tried to bomb them into submission, Queen Elizabeth's life-long dedication to duty, all of the personal struggles of the younger Royals, and the struggles to modernize the British Monarchy.

Harry may or may not know that his Mother was screwing her security officer, while she was pregnant with him.
Charles belongs to the British Aristocracy, and it is against their principles to talk about such things. An aristocratic man NEVER tells tales about his wife, regardless of how badly she might treat him.
In the same way, Diana's family KNEW that she was uncooperative, sulky, self-harming, and violent. But they did not tell the Royal Family.
The Royal Family has hushed up just how bad Diana was, and just how promiscuous she was.
But Diana, who looked for attention all the time, both from the media, and from other men, could not keep her moth shut, any better than she could keep her legs together.

Charles didn't "act like a shmuck".
The only evidence of what happened is what Diana said. Diana painted herself as a victim continuously. And when Diana was talking, at this moment, she was being very sweet and very coy in front of a very handsome man (who she wrongly believed to be a speech coach.)
Diana got men out of their trousers partly by making them feel sorry for her.
Forget the fact that the video and the information it contained became pub;lic.... primarily it was for the ears of the man to whom she was talking.
So what happened?
Diana STATED that she knew Charles hoped for a girl
She STATED that she knew from a scan that the child was a boy, but she withheld that information.
Charles clearly EXPECTED a girl, and thought that Diana was expecting a girl as well. We know this because at the Christening he said to Diana's Mother "We were expecting the baby to be a girl.."
So here we have Charles deceived by Diana, expressing his momentary surprise that the baby is not of the gender that DIANA HAD LED HIM TO BELIEVE IT WAS.
In other words, Diana, set him up for disappointment, and then acted like the wounded party, and said she was "heartbroken".
This is absolutely typical narcissistic behaviour. If you think badly of Charles, then it is because of Diana's very skilful manipulation of facts.
...and Charles said "And he's even got red hair!"
yes, red hair often comes as a surprise in a family with no red-heads... despite Diana's family members having red hair.
The parent of a red-headed child knows that their child will be commented upon, and perhaps singled out for teasing.
And what is the result of Harry's having red hair?

30:15 I disagree. Diana was trying to teach her children that they’re not just an ornamental celebrity to just take photos of and be subject to intrusion to fund the media. She was teaching them that they are independent men and should enjoy moments in life without being harassed. She was trying to teach them they could say no. And now Harry has the strength to walk away from this.
Icedchailatte Drinker sure, harry walking away from the family and tradition he grew up in. He has the strength to walk away from it because he still gets allowance from his father, he still gets security from the british taxpayers. Moving to Hollywood has turned her other child into just an ornamental celebrity.
So why is he now doing a quaisi royal tour of New York, visiting charities etc? if he watned to walk away from royal life, why not go somewhere off the media radar, get a regular job
