@@dannylo5875 Pretty much, yes. The onmyoji all assumed the princess was harboring quite a bit of resentment inside of her at the way all her peers were talking shit about her, and they were right. What they didn't know was that she'd already come to terms with that, which became reflected in her...bug.
As a caterpillar, it looked ominous, reflecting the bad emotions it was feeding off...but after it matured, it reflected the princess' acceptance of her outcast status, and contentment with her life, resulting in a guardian spirit instead of a spirit of misfortune.
