At 0:38 there is a split-second bump or correction that did not sound natural to the pilots input. Was that the pilot or was it crash recovery kicking in momentarily? I am researching this feature carefully, as it makes sense to use IF it is properly implemented!
Steve, this was 5 years ago so I don't remember much but I don't recall crash recovery ever giving me any premature kick in. It was a very ALPHA release if I remember correctly but seemed to work well. I didn't really run crash recovery much as I tend to break less things with a quick disarm rather than letting the FC fight the inertia. I just enjoyed testing new features.
JOESK/ FPV at that time I was around 83 srates and had to raise gthreshold to 500. I believe that is the default now though. I just kept raising it until it no longer caused me to not spaz out on hard inputs.
Dynamic filter has nothing to do with it. Crash_recovery is just an experimental feature that may or may not be in the official release of 3.2. I've been running it to "test"
NICE! Loved to see the theory working in a real situation!
1:06 for the goods

Hehehe, good 1, going to try this tomorrow =)
How bad were teh props after that crash since i could see the shake in the gopro? This was AWESOME, btw...
Five Freaking Onion Rings lol they were bent a little
It was just funny at the jitteriness of the video after the hit in the ground. i can't wait to try this
What exactly did you change to and it affective? Have the CLI commands?
What rates are you running and did you have to change the gthreshold ?

You need bf 3.2 for this? Ive recovered from a crash lots of times without 3.2 or dynamic filter..

What does it do exactly?
Isaac Tschampl it throws you into self level mode for a split second.
Nice! You must have the accelerometer enabled for this I guess, right?
Cyril Jaquier correct. No reason not to have it enabled on an F4. The processor can handle it.
I hate F4 with their inability to inverse UART signal. Waiting for the true power of F7!!!!
