Between Eugene getting a date, Ezekiel and Carol coming to terms with his cancer, Lydia crying, and Daryl telling Carol “I could never hate you”. I’m full of emotions again with this show!🥺😭
I understand what you're saying.
I'm just now coming back to the show (I stopped watching the day Karl died, I was loyal up till then. But I didn't stop just because his death broke my heart I just didn't see how it could be a good story going forward) and in many ways I'm starting to love it again.
Just curious; did you read the Comics?
twdeffect. Bruh I think he get it🤦🏾♂️😂😂 lol
@@kayaleandreaspencer631 That's REALLY good, Wish there was more people who started watching again, This Show is Damm Good🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I just watched the episode and, I was upset that Connie and Magda got caught in the cave explosion last week, but the end of this episode has me so on edge; OMG!!! what is going to happen!!!!!
I know right???
Anyone else get some Battle of Winterfell vibes when Eugene started singing?
yea was thinking this was better than GoT lmfao!
I did too.
Exactly!!!
Who was singing in the Battle of Winterfell, again?
Podrick Payne was singing.
They're not teasing Daryl's death, they're setting him up as a Rick. AND I LOVE IT. He's the new *saviour*. And I can't imagine they kill him.
Gabrielle Hanson He’s going to be the last one standing!
@@darbyroo2007, in the words of Beth Greene♥️.
Hope you're right!
Negan blocked the road the same way he did when he ambushed Rick's group.
Yes. I knew someone caught that.
@@gabrieluribe-rives6734 hopefully most did. Was very obvious.
@@BenTIStudios The whole thing with blocking the rounds is such an obvious tactic its rly weird its associated with Negan only. That should be common sense for anyone.
No shit sherlock.
@Paul Mathew yes
JDM had them carve the joker smile into his mask, also that mask is actually a mold of Norman’s face. Greg Nicotero talked about it on Talking Dead.
In terms of best "villain" Alpha may take the cake, but in terms of better character I would definitely say Negan
GroupOfGamersInc194 no way the governor is the best
@@nindo-4270
The Governor was a manipulator.
Negan was crazy with style.
Alpha is insane to a hole new level.
Honestly might think you're a bit biased dude lol
Yeah man I agree
Mostly agreed @GroupOfGamersInc194. As part of a ten person team at the HGP my opinion is amazing. Alpha and the Gov' are erratic and unpredictable. Great for writing. Negan seems more like a "Grey Jedi" which sweet sassy molassy can be fun as well, but after a while I felt he wasnt much of a villain. But overall in terms of villainy Alpha comes in first.
Man, Eugene and Gabriel started off both as wussy babies and turned into total badasses 💪👌
Did anyone thought Eugene's singing was amazing.
he should sing a certain song.. toss a coin...haha..lol
Sleepy Nat it reminded me of beth singing in the prison
@@johnrodriguez4935 same..
@@johnrodriguez4935 Awww (๑•ᴗ•๑)♡
@@cecillegravelle2590 ooooo! That would be cool
Negan: Bend the knee.
Me: They will never do that again.
Some tree saps can be highly flammable like turpentine. It used as a paint thinner, but it also has medicinal properties as well.
One example is pine trees which ooze sap when they get damaged, pine sap is highly flammable.
DWN KAOMWN It s reminded me game of thrones
Jerry said that it smelled like Christmas trees; I'm sure that was their way of telling us that it was indeed pine sap.
@@nancyw.1315 I meant for anyone that didn't know. Some people don't have pine Christmas trees, they have fir/spruce/etc.
Negan is going to some extreme lengths to keep Alpha's trust; but I still feel like he doesn't want to do this; maybe in the next episode he makes his move to land the killing blow
My guess is it will come down to his hand being forced to save Judith (and the rest of the kids).
Kenton Kruger and we all know how much Judith means to him.
I’m begging negan will come back and help us however I do have a gut feeling he may just choose not to fight but stay with alpha
Y'all must not know what happens in the comic book which I know they don't always follow
THEY PLAYED WITH MY HEART WITH EUGENE & ROSITA DAMNIT!
The Eugene Radio singing scene was one of my favorite in the show tbh.
Negan is absolutely still on our side.
The song's name is "When the wild wind blows" by Iron Maiden
When they were in formation in front of Hilltop, I was looking for Melissandra to come walking out of the cornfield!
Man, everybody been comparing this ep to Game of Thrones! Somebody called this "The Battle of Walkerfell"
I was yelling "go get some Dothroki!" Call the red witch to light the line! 😁

Aw man, i like that!
P.S. U should check out Mama Dead head's channel!

When it showed Kelly and Yamiko and the rest with the bows and arrows, I said, "Nock, draw, loose!"
Daryl better not die... I will lose my shit. I think this is the first time I've actually been worried for Daryl
Heard from a birdie the cliff hanger at end of season is Daryl dieing
He has a3yr contact, he saint ain't going off soon
Keava Bonner hes not going anywhere
Daryl's the safest in the show lol
His image got revamped by "ass kicker" (judiths nickname) he cant die 😭 i will be crying like a baby back bitch 😂😭
16:28
Ezekiel looked like he had the time of his life. I'm sorry. If that shot of him doesn't become a meme... lol. 🤣🤣🤣
Negan didn't read the fine print of alpha being mentally unstable before he signed the contract.
I feel like Earl’s been getting a lot of dialogue, which probably means he’s gonna die in the war
That was my thought too
Morning Star...Its the name of the melee weapon that Daryl was using in this episode.
Pretty clear that this episode was about everyone reconciling. Eugene & Rosita reached a point of moving on but still being friends, Daryl and Ezekiel reaching an understanding...even Daryl and Carol...he hasn't quite forgiven her, but he's made it clear he doesn't hate her.
I'm gonna have to side with you, Steve. Alpha and the whisperers are more of a threat than Negan and the saviors. Alpha has let the madness of the world warp her, she's recruited Beta..who spent his life in a damn psych ward...HEr methods are more evil, more twisted, than Negan.
Eugene having his own Neverending story moment🥺😂
When they prepare to fight againts Whisperes really woke up some memories when they use to battle versus Negan and Governor.
So I had to look up that stuff that they collected from the trees. It’s resin, not sap. And it is flammable.
RJ with Rick's hat & Daryl's vest :'(
Remember that episode when Carol was in that gymnasium hanging upside down, hallucinating? She had been taking alot of pills to stay up. And some walkers came in the gym and she shot them. It was 1 particular walker that was a Whisperer with black hair that she shot that reanimated outside. Why did we never she that Walker/Whisperer again?
Good question. I thought for sure it would wander into Whisperer camp and manage to bite a few people before they realized "Oh, that's not one of us, that's a REAL walker!"
I feel like Negan understood how sick Alpha actually is. He's probably gonna kill her in the next episode ❤️
i'm not so sure he knows what she is capable of.
this felt alot like Games of Thrones season 8 episodes 2.
Stephanie Billups absolutely
But I could see it
@E the walkers are much slower
That old dude sounded like a true general, maybe he was in the military in the old world. The others were like meeh meeeh bleeeh and he took command and got everyones fighting spirit up.
Imagine when michonne returns, she’s going to find that her world has crumbled even more, just think about her coming back to the hilltop in ashes with only Alexandria left... an a missive horde coming straight for it. 🤷♂️. Edit: this is the most comments and likes I’ve had on a comment, thank you!!
Well this is her last season and there can't be many episodes left this season! So when will she Show up?
No it’s not, her last episode is episode 13 and that’s the only episode she’s in for this half of the season.
@@jacobblack4881 this is her last season of being on the show! It's already been said so
Jacob Black pretty sure episode 13 is her final episode. She will find out Rick is alive and say her goodbyes to everyone and that’ll be that
Is Michonne definitely leaving ep.13? Because I'll make point to watch it if so.
This show has actually been so great these last few seasons.
Nobody:
Steven: "zombie apocalypse is not a thing
*YET* "
Coronavirus has just started. Let it mutate some more
Glanowsky ! Apocalypse meaning new beginnings the zombies are the cause of the new beginning
When Earl snapped at everyone to get their heads straight, he sounded just like he did in Glory as Sgt. Major Mulcahy.
Yes! John Finn, the actor who plays Earl, has always been great in authoritarian roles!
His character was great in that, now your learning boyo!
When Eugene started singing, it was like Podrick singing before the battle of winterfell and we all know how that went...
totally!
I feel this is the only episode where Daryl talked about his own possible death. I'm sure he won't die, but it was weirdly unsettling.
Eugene and Stephanie kinda gave me Stranger Things Dustin and Susie vibes. 😏
Felicia Ramadan I think it might be someone from the common place
@@samanthamalley1247 sounds someone pretending they don't know but they do. Not cool.
Am I wrong or did Judith just save the day and call her mom home with the new weapons???
Come thru, Michonne!
Seems to good to be true. I don't think so.
Negan saying “bend a knee” makes me think of Daenerys Targaryen 🐉
Armani Taylor makes me think of the horrifying moment that happened between alpha and Negan
I hear you, GOT was the first thing that popped into my head😂.
The way Alpha set up her attack reminds me of GOT too.
When the Night Kng went to Winterfell.
Beta is the Mountain
Eugenes singing made me think of beth back at the prison
Daryl was so great this episode ❤
Imagine Maggie coming back and seeing the hilltop on fire
18:40 Jenny of Oldstone, Walking Dead version.
Isaac the Worship Warrior I was thinking the same thing. It’s at that moment you know something is about to go down.
Isaac the Worship Warrior LITERALLY WHAT I THOUGHT 😂
OMG! I thought exactly the same thing! This whole episode was very GoT! Not sure Eugene is as "skilled" as Podrick though
Jenniron Maidestone
@@brandeeschweigel8162 definitely not but the fact that he CAN sing is just as shocking. Eugene never really struck me off as the musical type.
*Theory:* When Eugene and crew, go to see the lady he met on the radio-dating service (wink), her community has more advanced medical supply and Zeke gets cancer treatment!!! MAKE KIT HAPPEN ANGELA!!!!!!! 😘💯💛
I was crying during this episode!! I couldnt believe the emotions it brought. I haven't cried since Rick's departure episode.
Imagine eugene just sends an airstrike😂
THERE WAS SOO MANY SCENES FORESHADOWING PRACTICALLY EVERYONE’S DEATH!! 1.) Ezekiel being literally splayed out like Jesus on the cross naked with just a sheet covering his bits, 2.) Earl and Alden during that group meeting basically being overly confident that they’ll win and should stay there, CAROL LOOKING AT ALL OF THOSE OMINOUS *PAINTED* PORTRAITS OF ALL THE DEAD CHARACTERS WE MISS AS IF SHE IS PICTURING HERSELF UP THERE, JUDITH AND DARYLS CONVO AND THE *PAINTED* VEST she gave him (connecting Daryl to the portrait wall), The conversation between Carol and Lydia, Daryl standing in thee only open space between all of the buried survivors thinking...and then Carol approaches Daryl forgives her and leaves her behind for her to look over the graves alone.
THEY PRACTICALLY MADE IT SEEM LIKE EVERY DAMN CHARACTER IS DOOMED! EVEN ROSITA’S SPEECH AND KISS WITH EUGENE.
Maybe the group could of dressed up as whisperers and go from there before the battle? 🤔 They could still somehow escape by using walker guts. And I think alpha will stop attacking from here and let the walkers get them since she wants the group to "join" her
I was waiting for Eugene to start singing "Never Ending Story" lol. When he was with the Saviors I always believed that he was planning something to try to destroy them. I have the same feeling about Negan now, but I think it's gotten completely out of control for him to do anything now. So I guess the shagging (with her mask on to boot) and whipping Alpha (that delicate little flower!) was for naught. I still have a sliver of hope that he has some kind of plan, but it's getting pretty scary!!
This episode. The tension build up, the great character moments, the soundtrack, the dread. The Walking Dead is back on its A game and I could not be happier. This half season is 3 for 3 so far.
10:35 Daryl & Lil' Ass Kicker! ❤
You two are awesome. I love when Steven went, "Hey, babe, you want to whip each other with sticks?" and Nikki laughed with hesitation before saying, "yes!" LOL
9:20 LMAO... I know it's funny, but Nikki's expression was absolutely adorable at the same time!
Maggie is gonna come "in the nick of time" as Angela Kang herself put it
Jessica Freeman I got the feeling that Maggie was going to show up when Carol was looking at the portraits on the wall, especially with Glenn’s front and centre.
Hopefully to save our folks. Angela Kang wasn't specific she just said "maeggie will return in the nick of time" so I would assume it may be to save hilltop folks but maybe not hilltop itself. I feel like the communities will fall cause they hinting at being on the road again maybe to Commonwealth be my best guess. That's where zeke gonna get cured too.
i read that as "in the "rick" of time" lol
The weapon that Daryl was using is called a 'Morning Star'... The title of the Episode.
Now that I think about it Negan had people join him as walkers on the fence lol😂😭
I keep thinking ARE THE KIDS IN THERE. HOW TF ARE THEY GONNA BE OKAY
This episode really felt like a setup for Daryl's death but man I don't know if I can handle that in this show.
Was waiting for this reaction! You guys are awesome! 😁😁
I think Negan has a heart, despite doing bad things, whereas I feel like Alpha’s heart is as cold as ice or has no heart, which makes her the better villain imo. Negan is definitely the better character though.
You both and the way you r talking to each other... I loooooove it and enjoy every minute of your conversation. Thank you!!! Stay that way ❤
Carol looking at Glen's painting leads me to suspect she was the one who let Negan out.
Ulysses and Maggieis coming back
Yup
Dang, imagine when Maggie comes back to see hilltop burned down, Tara Enid and Jesus all dead, and people walking around in skin suits :/
I think Beta is just making sure Negan is siding with them. He’s a smart guy after all. Lol
When Eugene was singing over the radio with Stephanie.. did you get Dusty and Suzie vibes from Stranger Things? Lol
There's no way Daryl is dying. With Rick gone, Daryl has become the leader. If you take him out of the equation who are left with.
I think Carol is more likely to die.
Also, I believe in Negan. He has to have something up his sleeve. He would NEVER do anything that would hurt Judith. Question: Do you think Connie is really dead?
I agree regarding Daryl and Negan.
No, I don't think Connie is dead (or Magna).
Great reaction love you guys and btw I cried when Daryl said u know who ur fighting for to Judith it melted my heart
Gotta say I enjoyed Podrick's singing more than Eugene's; but still good either way.
Pippin all the way
Pods singing was the last decent scene in thrones
Best thing after watch the episode is you guys reaction. Too much love 🇧🇷
Negan I feel was trying to do something there and he almost dropped the act at the end.
Morning star is the spiked ball and chain Daryl uses at the very end.
That pesky video game knowledge coming in handy.
Don’t worry. Judith will appear from thin air, fly in and stab Alpha in the chest, thus killing the entire horde....
Oh wait.
I love Negans Jokeresque mask!
Stephanis Group could see the satelite. Maybe they'll see the fire.. And Negan is going to flip so fast when he figures out that Judith and Lydia is at Hilltopp.
Hell yeah my favs uploading the first react! Love you guys ♥️
Negan believes that people are a resource. Important to remember. Nikki, it's on now though, cuz the babies are trapped in the house!!! I hope Judith knows where that secret tunnel under the log pile is😉❤
Great reaction guys! The Daryl and Ezekiel talk had my heart ♥️♥️♥️
Btw, quick question, (and someone has probably asked, and y’all have probably answered lol) but, where’d you get the Dog blanket? I need one ASAP!

No one shot an arrow in episode 10. That was one of Daryl's knives. He threw it and hit the whisperer in the stomach. Then he lost his second knife when Alpha sliced his forehead. Lydia did retrieve his knives though. You see them sticking in the ground beside him when he wakes up.
I'm wondering if the whisperers get close enough, will anyone recognize Negan? He should stand out like a sore thumb in his outfit. Maybe the person who let him out of his cell is in on the plan, as well. I think it is Carol.
Awesome video, as always. Thank you. 😎😎😎😎😎😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
This was an emotional one!! And I did not realize pine tree sap was highly flammable either! And on another note, the song that Eugene sang, is by none other than metal monsters, Iron Maiden!!
I think Rick will pull up in a firetruck and save them all. 😉
As the sun rises in the morning after a long night of fighting, a horn can be heard in the distance while The Ride of the Rohirrim stats playing and King Theoden of Rohan I mean Michonne of Alenxandria joins the battle with and army of horse riders I mean TANKS! behind her...
Name of this episode Morning Star..is a mid evil weapon called morning star.. the one Daryl uses.
Pine sap is extremely flammable , espicially if it's rendered into pitch. They used to use it for attacking/defending castles
Fun fact... Norman and Nick said last night on theTalking Dead that the mask Negan is wearing is a mold of Norman Reedus's face with the Joker's smile cut into it. They had the mask and it looked so awesome.
"Never bullshit a bullshitter" line was in the first episode when Carol and the King met officially, kinda make me flashback to when Glenn said hey asshole to Rick.
I think if Negan knew Judith was there, he would be making sure Alpha would change her mind. Wonder if he’ll kill her or make a way to turn the walkers away?
Daryl getting his wings back is so fucking good
Song that Eugene is singing is a iron maiden song
After watching this episode for a third time with you, I became very emotional. This entire episode had GOT vibes to it: the calm before the storm. I found it interesting the different perspectives and parallels shown. From Daryl leaning over the banister surveying the group like Rick did when he surveyed work on the bridge. From Daryl looking contemplative and sad before going to war like Rick did when he visited Abe and Glenn's graves before all out war. His heart to heart with Judith and showing he respected her but wanted her to be safe just as Rick had done with Carl in the past. It showed the transfer of leadership and burden it brings. Carol exiling herself after the cave like Daryl did when Rick disappeared. Carol speaking with Zeke, Lydia, and Daryl in an attempt to make amends. Lots of foreshadowing to me with Carol and Rosita. This was a very good episode though I am left disappointed in seeing how ill prepared our group is for this attack. I am left in a quandary on Negan's actions here. It really makes the mystery of whom let him loose in Alexandria. I thought for a time it was Carol but her recent actions makes me doubt its her. With Daryl's nonchalance on Negan's actions with the Whisperers, my guess it could be him especially since he's had no interaction with Carol. His only redemption after Hilltop's destruction is if he kills Alpha. I agree with you Steve that in all honesty there should not be a way out on foot with thousands of walkers walking around and the roadways blocked. We may lose someone important. Sit back and get ready for the ride!
Loved Eugene's "stranger thing's" singing moment.
Negan actually has remorse. Alpha doesn't. This will hopefully be her undoing. You guys fucking rock by the way!
I didn’t even realize that about Darryl, Lydia and the crossbow...great catch!
I gather that they would want some range. Knives are a last resort when you are dealing with a horde. If you get surrounded its all over, so spears, morning stars and swords are probably the better bet.
Negan won't let Judith or Lydia get hurt. Hopefully he realizes they are at Hilltop.
Did you notice that right before they fired the flamed arrows, Negan looked at Alpha, and almost looked like he wanted to convince her otherwise? We all know that Negan is probably just biding his time to get to Alpha, and didn't want to kill the Hilltop militia. Also, I loved the subtle intelligence of Daryl's. He knew that blocking the roads was a Negan strategy and quickly realized he'd joined Alpha.
Also, in a much smaller scale, I was reminded of the Battle of Helm's Deep in the Two Towers. With the sense of impending doom and the odds against them.
Did anyone else feel like this episode was inspired by "The Battle of Winterfell" episode of GOT? It reminded me of that episode. All the those scenes of the group having conversations and preparing for the upcoming war were very similar to the episode before the "Battle of Winterfell". That scene that Eugene was singing and it was showing all the characters in the background was so great! The formation of the group waiting for the horde like with the "army of the dead". The slow motion scenes, the flaming arrows, the fences like the trench at Winterfell... Omg!
I mean this was amazing but remember how crazy it was when negan technically bombed Alexandria?
I love that they had an iron maiden song in the walking dead
It’s the burning of hilltop. One of My favourite battles In the comics
all i can say is, come on Negan, i hope he has a plan bro. Also love the moment between king and darryl and darryl and judith
The tunnels were built as part of the sewer system from when Alexandria was first built. Well before the apocalypse
Negan is the best Character (out of the villains)
Alpha is the scariest villain, I mean she is absolutely terrifying.
The Governer was probably the best Villain.
He was the first major baddie that we came across so it was kind of a novelty. He was a Complete COMPLETE, Psychopath!
Only Daryl Dixon can pick up a weapon that takes weeks to master and use it like he’s been using it all his life
well on talking dead he just said he hit himself in the head with it...
@@cecillegravelle2590 well we're talking about Daryl Dixon and not Norman Reedus
@@beposfather fair enough.. just thought that was an interesting tid bit though..
Maybe he's been out back practising all along lol
Not only Daryl, John Wick could pull that too
